For those of us without consoles, yes I know, can/has anyone ripped the cutscenes from the PS2 game for all of us to see?

It is not written in stone though that Lee will never see stick time again, lets face it he is a great pilot. However, after some of the injuries he has sustained of late he may be on limited flying duty no matter what.

The VF-1 is a timeless design as it stands, true it has elements of the aircraft at the time it was developed which is what makes it so timeless to us. Going back and constantly redesigning something that is so ingrained in a persons memory is just foolish, that is why you spend so much time refining the design in the first place. I mean it is bad enough that Lucas reworks star wars everytime he rereleases it, but imagine the horror if he had the art department "update" the original trilogy craft designs to make them more inline with what we see in the PT. People would go nuts about it, and had SK redesigned the VF-1 again, for Mac-0 or for some other project and said that it was the VF-1 that always meant to be, and should replace all others in all other visual works people would be up in arms again, and you would be asking instead, why did SK update the VF-1 it was perfect?

Interesting design, but you center of looks way too far aft, you might want to consider drawing the wings and LERX forward a bit. Also, why do you have what appear to be 4 air intakes for the engine, are you trying to somehow improve your high alpha performance, if so you would be better off to bring your lower intakes further forward, closer to the leading edge.

Nope, if they have not hit FRP (Full Rate Production) then all those available would essentially be test assets. Think about it, we have had DH correct me here, about a half dozen to a dozen raptors for the last 5 years or so, but none of them have been combat deployed. They have all be used as testbeds and for flight testing. The same was probably true of the VF-1s. Also just because the engines were aprroved does not mean that they were approved for mass use, they could have had some serious bugs to work out. As for the VF-0, yes it was a testbed, but at the same time was a more conventional design, using normal engines, so could be more easily field serviced. So I'm sure that the UN was faced with two options, field the somewhat more advanced, and still highly top secret VF-1 that has possibly wonky and harder to support engines. Or, use the tech testbed aircraft VF-0, which you happen to have a lot of and are more reliable because of their engines. So in that way it makes sense, still it would have been nice to see Roy go up in a VF-1 for the final episode, but I think that was a concession that was made to try and get Macross 0 on the foreign market. Let's face it, other then Roy, the UN-Spacy Kite, the Monster, and the name Macross, there is very little that visually links Macross zero to the original Macross, and therefore it could allow an end run around HG. However, the fact that we have still to hear any news about a US release makes me think that the gamble did not pan out.

That would be interesting if they did, but could they legally do that? I didn't think that you mastered yours for them, or did you?

SOme of you may remember this from my Merlin rework thread. I have decided to proceed with the design as a light torpedo bomber, a sort of TBA/TBM, henve the name Avenger. I am also dedicating this one to my Grandfather, who passed away today, hence the first part of the name, JDS. I look forward to your comments, it is very rough right now and I intend to make many changes to make it have visual elements of the Avengers that my grandpa flew for the Marine backs in WW2.

I hate to say it but I like the little 1:100s I may get one or two for my desk at work, they will look nice next to my 1:60 2-seaters and my 1:48 custom VF-1D once it is done.

COntempt may be the wrong word here. If you look at what they originally tried to do, HG was not a bad group, true their translations stunk, but they did try to bring the three franchises over seperately. What they have done since then is the problem, especially nowadays. By handling the properties so poorly they have shot themselves in the foot, I could go into it more, but hey there are alreayd about what 6 threads dedicated to this subjecT?

Intersting, I haven't hread anything about this merger, will have to go through the stack of Av-Weeks here at the office and take a look. It would be interesting, but at the same time, not good IMHO. Sure they can share resources, but it will mean the death to competition inside the russian aviation companies, and I could envisage Sukhoi shutting down all MiG-29M production in favor of Super Flanker Variants. Plus there is the nightmare of what the new company name would be and how badly it would mess up NATO airplane codes.

FG is nice for an open source program, but it does have serious physics and compatibility issue. FOr a free program it is good and I would take it anyday over MSFS, but for my money I would rather buy X-Plane, true it is expensive, but it is the most comprehensive flight sim out there with the best physics and the graphics are nothing to sneeze at either. A friend of mine is running it on a computer with nothing else so he can have the high res terrain, suplimented with even higher sat photos for major cities, and all the add on planes he has put on. basically if it is out there for x-plane he has it.

Also Sharron showed early signs of pregnancy prior to Starbucks return. If you knew your anatomy you would know that most women do not start showing until at least the third month and in some cases the fourth. I am sure though that Starbucks Ovaries will have some impact on the rest of the plot. Thing is did they ever say that the Ovaries themselve were removed? YOu would think that after rejoining the fleet and being debriefed that Dr Cotal would have performed an examination on Starbuck to say whether or not they were still there.
