  1. I completely agree and that maybe why they sell so well. I've found myself buying more used lately for value and not feeling guilty myself for throwing the box away.
  2. Kinda wild they are not allowed to ship to Japan. Liking that the best looking valks ever made are getting some well deserved love. I might get into this Kickstarter for some of the watercolor art addons.
  3. Looking forward to seeing those when you put it together. I've been wanting to mod my VF-2SS with DYRL fast packs myself so I can see were your going.
  4. I'd like to see a DX 1/48 in an all clear version with a full inner frame all around. Maybe go so far as an Xrayed version of the pilot to go with it.
  5. That's a gorgeous Cake Topper! Is that going on your birthday cake or your son's? Perfect for a lemon cake with a lime frosting.
  6. That's one of them I've seen some red and green ones, the pilots had blonde hair and some where more generous in the chest sculping area.
  7. Those are good observations! the plastic surface is easily scratched with micro scratches so it might look Brite but loses that crispness. I've bought a few on eBay like that and sent them right back to the anger of the seller. Even had one seller try harassing me through my email and phone over a return but once he got it back he found another sucker not too long later. I understand why they do it though as it's hard to sell one yellowed or discolored. I had a mint complete 84 Valk ( the ones with the black bandai stickers) here that was gorgeous in person it had never been played with and perfect paint/stickers. It was brand new but somewhat off color, no one here would even give me $300 for it as if it was diseased or something. I ended up almost just given it away. No one would take my word it looked way better then the pics so it's understandable but disappointing that they do. I bought a lot of jetfires just for parts so as not to have to clean them. But these old 1/55 toys are not selling too well, I can't even sell my graded one for half what I paid for it, watched others have the same issue over the last year. One reason I've unloaded the majority of my jet fires I'm down to half dozen mint ones and I'm only keeping them because they are rare variants. With the Macross 1/55 so far I've learned having one nice example of each one is great and all one needs, but if your buying more then you need your wasting your money as they have lost a lot of resale value. I seen guys recently who could not even give away super ostrich or elintseekers on eBay for anywhere they once did and these things were complete, unused and really nice boxes and still could not even get $900 for them. I just watched a guy struggle for three months to sell a mint 85 strike valkyrie and in the 12th auction it finally sold but only $600 for something that was still sealed in the box. I too would never recommend cleaning unless it's really necessary but also pointing out that trying to hoard a bunch of expensive extras might be a money pit unless you got them years ago for hardly nothing.
  8. MSI must think 16 cores are going to offset the weak IGPU when they will only consume more power even if E cores. 8 cores is enough to push a screen that small and FPS. my only issue with Intel is everything is EOL in terms of drivers and support after two maybe three years most on the consumer side. a few years ago I bought a laptop brand new for that year and by the end of the year Intel had EOL'ed it as legacy driver support only. Personally I would prefer something Arm or RISC-V if the performance in game could be matched but were not there yet. I've got an MSI X570S motherboard and its rock solid almost two years later . no huge resource stealing bloatware like I had with the Asus MoBo drivers.
  9. Still bootlegged decades later adds to its iconic heritage as well imo
  10. Those are pretty cool, I've seen a chick versions do you have those? I was tempted to buy the blue chick one on ShowZ
  11. Well my local television station way back in the early 1980's aired Robotech but only a few episodes. It really was the most amazing thing I'd ever seen in my short life having been on earth. after that Transformers and even Voltron just seemed inadequate. I'll never forget how the Valks just blew me away !then they were gone! only years later once the internet came around I was able to understand what I lost all those years ago. I don't care if people think Robotech is lame, somewhere in the fabric of time passed was a child seeing something on TV so profound that it changed the very fundamental way they would see the world the rest of there life.
  12. Not sure you this is posted in right area of forum as they are Robotech and this is the Macross section, some people take that very serious all my toynami valks are convention exclusives and I've never unboxed them so I'm unable to help, sorry.
  13. My KC collection so Far. would have bought some on the big sale but $95 shipping for two small lite boxes made me feel it was not so much a deal for me. (I know I need custom shelves)
  14. I put my PO in for Roy on Show-Z they still show old dates so thanks for heads up.
  15. My Angel Birds came in yesterday. they look nice! not sure if they will crumble in my hands like the GOF did, but I'll find out soon. will post pics later Spark
  16. I went to the movie theater and besides being treated like dirt and not worthy to grace there presence, they decided to turn the movie off 20 minutes before it was done! so the person over movies could take a lunch break because someone called off work. so me and about 10 other people did not get to watch it to the end + plus no refunds other then told to contact customer service to see if they might send out a discount coupon. Thanks AMC! I'll do what what I always have done, just wait on the torrent to come out to watch the whole movie. there's no place for me in a sick society.
  17. That's cool but I have to wonder if it would had taken much more effort to etch the numbers (embossed) into the plastic.
  18. Sorry, I missed the post earlier. that's a cool figure but its way different then I thought, I had to look it up again.
  19. I was just saying it could be a vender sample but no facts, I was just expressing a questioning opinion of its origins, the only facts are it's a Takatoku Variant not the updated 1985 mold with trademark and the paperwork, accessories were all slightly different in font and sizing, dates then the later version. Imo it's still ultra rare even if they made 90,000 how many are left and what condition? combined with how many had the first details before they changed to final details that are common. I only mistyped the first time admitting it was a typo but still sticking with its scarcity it's still the Masushiro type of rarity imo.🙂
  20. I meant Ultra Rare Early Production 1/55. Sorry I should have reread everything before posting it. you see one 1985 Strike Valkyrie for every hundred Jetfire's so this version is a much rarer variant like a Masushiro is for Jetfire It's a 1984 not the regular 1985 Strike Valkyrie. all the trademarks are 1983/84 and all the paperwork was slightly different from the 1985 including a few of the stickers on the sheets, it was possibility a early-production vender sample but without further paperwork that's just a guess. like many things from that era.
  21. Got this last night, I was expecting a bigger box. it's 1/3 the size of my Yamato 1/48 Stealth w/ Fast Packs. So far, So Good start for my 1st Bandai 1/48. added it next to my ultra rare 1984 Pre-Production Strike Valkyrie for comparison, its wild the 1/48 is bigger ,but in a smaller box then the 1/55. I just snagged a good deal for an Armored GBP Kit, for $39.00 with free shipping. that should give it more dress-up options. my last Toy Purchase for 2023 until April 2024 excluding open preorders. looks to be a nice swan song for the year.
  22. I've been wondering about those as I never seen much on Ebay. I came across a tiny pewter Minmay Bust that I was thinking was part of a game but never could figure it out. Maybe it was a game piece? I never bought it as seller wanted $75 for it.
  23. I've been sick since last Thursday when someone at work came in infecting everyone. so now it's clearing up, I'm clearheaded enough for some better pics of Spider Lady.
