Any chance the Yukikaze planes were designed by Kawamori? Sorry, I didn't check google first while typing this. ^_^ But it would be nice to see a similar design based on these birds that transforms into Gerwalk and Battroid. It would probably look awesome for sure. And for me as of now, there's no point on buying these Alter models as long that it's the same size or scale as my 1/60 or DX Valks. ^_^

I understand the concern for these stands since I don't like it too. But for sure those stands are designed to be practical and cost-effective that can hold a 2lbs +/- (that's an estimate) transforming Valk. Probably even if they follow the Alter stands, for sure it will still have a wider base and thicker plastics to hold the said Valks. Not to mention if it can be articulated since we need to screw those first. Anyways, if you really want a cool looking stand that's also articulated like Alter's, look no further. Just click the link for YetiStands. ;)

For the mecha/aircraft design team info it's here dude https://www.animenewsnetwork.com/encyclopedia/anime.php?id=902

A valk version would definitely be interesting! I would actually prefer them in 1/60 myself but the only alternative (no pun intended) is the model kits. Seeing as i am crap at painting the alter versions definitely were the overpriced answer.

I can't argue there, they definitely do their job of holding the valk well. Just a shame there is no pivot point like the old yamato stands. Yes! Will definitely be getting some yetistands, they look incredible and give you so many options for display.

I wonder how 31's Armored Pack look if it's painted in traditional neutral color like the VF-1's GBP and Messiah's Armored Pack?

Just pray it's not green like the vf-2ss sap parts ;)

I am buying the holy f**k out of that armor.

It looks more like a destroid to me lol  The wrist guns are cool though. I don't mind armor on valks but not when it over does it.

  4. I recieved my calibre wings jolly rogers f-14b 1/72 Scale Diecast Model today,  and also put my alter mave yukikaze on display. As you can see the mave is loaded to bear and I love how they added an extra stand for the fuel air bomb. Gives it a really dynamic pose. I have the super sylph too,  just need to get through the stupid cable ties alter use to secure the model in. They do not want you to get the model out in a hurry!

I just got mine yesterday, pretty similar experience (I've only done 4-5 different valk types).  This one is definitely tough, it honestly took me almost an hour to go from fighter to gerwalk.  Had to look at several videos, haven't even done battroid yet.  The good news is, I think you can skip the hardest part of gerwalk (connecting two pegs into a bracket) if you only want to go to battroid.

The vf-31 looks significantly easier, but I won't get to try that until the Arad version is out.

That's crazy! More a puzzle than valk then. I'll be sure to keep the patience on standby. I think once one is in battroid mode it will stay as that. It's kind of strangely annoying when a valk looks good in all modes. Means you have to buy two or three just so you can be happy with them on display. Otherwise it would get frustrating to choose which mode to put it in. Plus if it is difficult to transform then that's even worse.

  6. When my sv262 "finally arrives" (NY didn't process it and ship it for a whole week for starters!) i will see what the transformation difficulty is like. I have very little experience in transforming valks, only three to be precise. I will be able to say as a novice "transformer" just how tough it really is compared to the vf-31a i am eagerly awaiting.

  7. I've have only owned two valks till very recently. Yamato was "it" from my experience. I had the 1/72 1st release vf-11b which broke not long after i bought it. That put my off buying more till 2007 when they released the "almighty"SV-51 gamma. That thing was amazing. Sold it, regretted it, bought another. Being new to the forums and being around other liked minded folk (you good/crazy people) has definitely shown me there is so much available these days. Bandai, Arcadia and evolution toys.......ahem has so much to offer it's crazy. Personally i'm panicking and buying everything i missed out on over the years. I'll happily have quiet times! The new Arcadia SV-51 has my name on it and i'm crazy enough to buy the premium too. I live and hope for the day someone makes Feff's Gigamesh power armor in 1/60 with all the detail and cool features that mech has. It deserves to be made IMO. It would look boss next to the evo toys vf-2ss. If i ever bought one....

That black peak makes it a million times better looking. Horn still looks so out of place though. Love the old strike parts and that wrist blade on it.

Well, it really depends if Bandai will release individual Ba's tampo printed with corresponding pilot markings or release just one Ba with sticker sheet and leave the customer customize it. Now you being a collector, would you rather have a full squadron of stickers applied DX Valks knowing that your DX Delta squadron set have all tampo markings?

Oh, and I'm pretty sure not all of them is going to be screen accurate -- looking at Siegfried's Grim Reaper and Knight emblem.

It's possible they will have individual releases seeing as the 31's did. But on the flip side, the Draken isn't as popular as the Siegfried. Maybe they would worry that the BA wouldn't sell well like the Kieth variant. Shame really it's a good looking valk. I'm sure they will look good regardless. ;)

Back when we only knew about the Keith Custom, regular Ba’s and then later the White Knights I was going to buy six total.

I suppose six is still in the cards but not two of the green Ba’s anymore.

I'll probably just stick with my two Keith types. I have the Arad 31s pre ordered too so that could go next to one of them. I kinda dig the 31a over everything else, so I'll probably pick a 3rd up and burn in macross hell for my greed later
