If it helps at all, most of my collection here lately has come from jungle along with most of my valks and jungle has been really good about there condition and grade and if you ask they will send you pics of the item as long as it's not sealed.

That's good to know thanks ^_^ I have actually bought from jungle myself. It was sealed condition and i was happy that it was just that. Would be nice if they gave more descriptions for their stuff though like mandarake.

If one pops up on Mandarake and doesn't say "used" you ought to be safe.

Usually packaging is always damaged though?

Well, just to ease your mind, I've learned from this forum that a certain specific brand new DX Valk have exploding plastic issues right out of the box. Good thing for me, it's a cannon fodder type. ^_^

Anyways, good luck on your hunt. ;)

Interesting, i have two 25a's here and one on display in fighter. Not transformed it before but glad for the warning thanks! ^_^

WOW! :o£186! that's quite a significant amount! So do you get charged ransom for all inbound purchases or when the value good over a certain amount?

I think they said it's random, but personally i think they check the value. High value = High VAT charges. Obviously there are ways around it. Some stuff i get from certain sellers gets through ok. Never bought from loopaza before though so least ill know for next time. And on the plus side, i have 3 vf-31a's and an arcadia vf-0a to look forward to this weekend :) My ebay one has also shipped. 4 frigging 31a's lol what was i thinking hey. I'm not complaining. ^_^

  4. Well I have paid the government their ransom money to free my valks. A total of £186 of my hard earned manx pounds. Pretty much the price of a valk itself. I would like everyone to share a moment of silence for my wallet and the great sacrifice it made so my valks could be returned safely to their loved one. Moral of the story here is, don't complain about delays if you get it at no extra cost. I'd rather it be delayed and still receive at no extra cost than having to pay extra VAT.  When you have to pay those extra charges for import fees/tax, In my case it was purely VAT. Then, you will have my sympathy. So be warned and pray your government doesn't steal your valks for ransom. :p

Dammit I want a shipping notification for my premium Miria. :(

We can hope. Though I can't see Bandai adding anything besides reaction missiles.

They really need to do a weaponry set. Arcadia had the right idea with the yf-19. It's the only thing lacking with the bandai stuff.

@TrickyCustomer South Yorkshire division reports similar moves from government agencies. We have to assume they are working to reverse engineer proprietary overtechnology components, these are just stalling tactics.

A possible scenario. Both maybe linked to the secret organization S.H.A.F.T.T.H.E.C.#.N.T.S

Thanks Noel, well I certainly hope you get some good news soon regarding your Kairos!

What kind of percentage do they charge for ransom.. errr I mean import duties? I've been stung up to $250 in Australia. And a work colleague told me that Australia is planning on taxing everything that is purchased online from overseas. Not something I wanted to hear as that is the majority of my purchases. ffs

    I think it's around 17.5%

  7. Current situation in the Isle of man. Valks are still being held hostage by government. Negotiations are taking place. A hefty tax ransom charge may have to be paid. Update: Arcadia vf-0a has also been taken hostage. This brings the total hostage count upto 4 valks. The government are getting desperate. It's as if the three valks aren't enough. The negotiator is getting ready to have pants pulled down and get shafted by government. Hope they are gentle.  More news soon.

LOL! government ransom money! that's brilliant! and spot on! I've had a few items held for ransom in the past! the b@st@rds!

And you live on the Isle of Man! that's madness! I visited there for the first time back in 2016 and loved it! Missed the bike racing though.. would love to go back!

Yes robbing tw@ts Haha awesome mate small world hey!  Glad you you enjoyed it. You missed the busiest time too.  It's generally a quiet little island but when the TT is on the place is taken over by over 20000 bikers. All you can hear is bikes.

    That's what I'm sayin'. ;)

Since he's uber cool, by now, we should have seen some VF-1 Isamu Custom done by modelers. Which by the way we haven't see for some weird reasons. Does it really need to be a FSW plane first? I mean, he rode the VF-11B back then and that's not even a FSW.

True and fair point, the vf-11b battle at the start of the series was a highlight for me in Mac plus.  But I guess because he is always going to be known mostly for flying the yf-19. He is stuck with that style of valk and even that paint scheme. I would like to see another vf-11b release because he was eagle 107 and kicked ass.

Whenever possible, I keep everything including the boxes. I still have the original boxes for most of my vintage Transformers and other toys as a kid. Another reason why my life is surrounded by piles and piles of boxes within boxes.

I kept and will keep my boxes if it concerns collectable "toys". Boxes from kits I tend to throw away when I got out of space. I only keep those as well if I like the art work of the box.

I'm actually thinking of disposing my big boxes too. I already thrown out my small figure boxes. But I always think that I also need the big ones just in case we move esp the Valk boxes. But right now, I'm also doing Tetris. ^_^

Interesting guys thanks, there are definitely pros and cons when it comes to the boxes. I tend to also keep mine in the shipper boxes they arrived in too,  which are generally bigger still. But it's peace of mind knowing they are protected vs space consumption. The bandai valk boxes are indeed a convenient size compared to the yamato and even Arcadia boxes. Ironically it's the yamato and Arcadia valks that are the rarest in my collection so big boxes plus bigger box is unfortunately the way it has to be. I do also buy double or more of some types purely so I can keep one misb and the other as a mess around.

  11. Seeing as we are talking boxes, Who here does away with their boxes? I'd be curious to know if some of you just have the valks and extras and do away with the packaging. I can definitely see the benefit of it. As a collector though I guess I just have to have the boxes for sake of having it complete. Having said that I did do away with my boxes for the neca 1/4 preds guarding my detolf. Now they were big boxes!

  12. My three are here now but looks like I'll have to pay the government some ransom money so they can release my valks to me. Hope everyone gets there 31a's soon so we can get back to actually talking about them and not shipping times and costs <_<

I could stack stuff up high but then it could all come crashing down in a quake (perks of living in the ring of fire). That said I've just sold my 2 guitars to declutter my life. Next decluttering operation: some serious book pruning in the coming weeks.

That must be crazy. Couldn't even imagine having to deal with that over here. If we had an earthquake we would probably sink lol

Just got my VF-31A from Loopaza. They must have really good connections to Bandai's distributor, because I placed my order less than a week ago. I figured that late stragglers like myself would've been at the mercy of eBay scalpers. After seeing those YJA auctions, I made out like a bandit at under $300 shipped

Being based on Hong Kong will help I reckon. Bet their supplier is just down the road ^_^ Hopefully should have my three from them this week. The Ebay seller one I'm still waiting on. I paid $250 for first two, then $270 for the last one few weeks later. It shot upto $290 and is now sold out.
