Whoa.. if you did find valk's selling on eBay cheaper than NY, then congrats to you!

That did not happen to me one time at all getting valks all these past years...:(

I bought a brand new Yf-25 on ebay recently £175 all in. I always Google what I'm looking for then check each site for prices and postage.

^We call that one here, the ELVIS variant. ^_^

And yes, I'll buy that one in a heartbeat than the Green Pope variant.

A fitting name lol I would have one of each. Gives me an excuse to buy the 31f to go with the 31s and 31a.  3 vs 3 display would look cool.

The NY discount is a joke when it saves someone $5 but it's an outrage when they ask for $3 extra to ship something. This is all after the fact that they already charge less than any other shop to begin with. :good:

If you like their discount system fair enough. I have other places to buy valks for cheaper and less shipping costs to boot.

I agree. My 'Discount Power' saved me $5.49 USD.

Damn scandalous it is! Sideshow Collectibles were throwing $25-$35 discounts at you all the time. NY could definitely learn a thing from them. Surprised NY are still in business if that's how they reward their customers.

  5. The more pictures i see of this thing the more i like it. So wish i had mine now! :( The only tiny negative nit pick i can give the 31 is the rear landing gear design. It looks like it has mud flaps. I get that it works and is part of the design but i would have liked a more conventional rear landing gear. But it's such a small issue i'm not even that bothered. Looks great in the diorama and with armaments.

  6. It's my first time watching mac 7 and i am currently on ep 37. As far as thoughts go comparing it to everything else I've seen in macross, it's definitely one of the weaker series. It's dragged out far too long. The story isn't strong enough to warrant the 49 episodes i feel. It should be the usual 26. It's very repetitive and I'm struggle at times to stay engaged in the story. The music however, is good.  Of the three "macross pillars" the music is the strongest. The mecha is meh, and the love triangle is lame and to be honest just plain wrong. Mecha is always my biggest draw to macross but for mac 7 i have to give it to the music. It was definitely the main focus above everything else. Well done Fire Bomber.

Whether those are "legs" is debatable... the Octos is, according to Junya Ishigaki's line art for it in his artbook Robo no Ishi, a mecha modeled on a gorilla.  We've never seen it use those as arms, but it's not out of the question.

They certainly look like legs, even has toes that are retracted. I would be interested to know what the write up says in the image. The stance does give it a gorilla looking pose. The beach assault i think is the most you see of them.

Has there been any valk concepts showing more than 2 thrusters? Am thinking for a next gen valk, is there any limitation on what defines a battroid? Can't it have 4 legs or 3 arms for that matter ala the Asian jaeger in Pacific rim.....

hmmmmm...not sure what the feedback from the fan base that would be...

Please no. A valkyrie is unique enough it doesn't need 4 legs. As far as more thrusters is concerned I would point you towards the Vf-27, yf-29 as a few examples of 4 thruster types. Even the vf-1s with strike parts has technically 4 thrusters. So they are out there. The only thing I like with 4 legs in the macross series is the anti-an amphibious destroids in macross zero. They look cool as hell.

Ouch. My bad. I was absent the whole time during humor class. :p

For sure, the reason for that SAP 'green' is to somehow keep it in-line with TV's VF-1 Super Parts. So that the watching crowd for MacII can tell it's been done by the same team even though it's not. ;)

Ah yes, the yamato vf-1's had the green super parts. Trying to keep continuity but at the same time not due to the setting and time line.

I doubt that since the 31's are colorful. That lovely green works ok on white Valk. Just sayin'. ^_^

More poor humor i'm afraid  True, my HMR vf-2ss is looks well with the sap parts. I'm surprised they chose green tbh.
