  1. Just got an e-mail from Hobby Search: The pre-order item listed below 1/60 Perfect Trans VF-17D Diamond Force Custom General Machine (Completed) ( http://www.1999.co.jp/eng/10193051 ) Was originally scheduled for release on Oct, but has been rescheduled for release on Dec.
  2. Great news! I hope it's a new full game. When is TGS taking place?
  3. For those that can see this CM, is there anything interesting shown?
  4. Thank you very much guys! I don't think I'd do it again... the masking is quite a pain. Now to see how the paint holds when I get it back to battroid... BTW, I'm not assembling the resin "Komiria capsule" that is included with the kit. If anyone is interested, I can sell it for $10 shipped. edit: sold!
  5. Thank you Thank you, looking forward to your VF-1S! Aand, here it is, in fighter mode:
  6. Thank you very much! I think I'll eventually panel-line it, should look way better that way. The UNS kite is actually a different color than the wing strip, but I don't think the camera caught that. I agree, a separation from the lines and the kite would look better, but in this case I followed the image. Maybe I'll outline the kite when I panel line-it. Once you put this VF-1J next to the VF-171EX, you can tell where the inspiration for the color scheme comes from.
  7. I wonder which gunpod will be included with this, if at all... Pre-order in Amiami: http://www.amiami.com/top/detail/detail?gcode=TOY-RBT-2576&page=top
  8. Thank you! The head.. I'm not really so fond of the new design, and I don't think it'll be easy to change, so I guess I'll leave the standard one.
  9. Hello all, Using Yamato's VF-1J kit I decided to make this: My idea was to make a VF-1J as if it were released by Yamato, meaning: no panel lining, not many decals. Here's what I came up with: After seeing Jefuemon's excellent 1/72 kit, I noticed many mistakes in the width I selected for some lines. Also, as you can see by the irregularities in the lines, my masking skills are not so good. I like to think it looks like a resin prototype Following the manual of the VF-1J kit, you're supposed to end up with the VF in fighter mode but I decided to leave it in battroid mode. I haven't transformed it yet... I'm really concerned about paint scratches. But I will transform it eventually and I'll post pics here.
  10. The one I used for the 1/60 kit is this one: Macross The First vol. 3 has this image but there was also a bigger one in a volume of Macross Ace. In The First vol. 3 there's also a shot of the Wave kit. The manga is also the best reference to see how it looks from other sides. Hope this helps!
  11. Great work Jefuemon! and the pilot also looks amazing! For the last 2 months I've been building this kit: After seeing your photos I realized I screwed up in many parts I hope it ends up looking as good as yours! Hopefully, soon!
  12. It appears to me that this was a rushed job. I think the new audio track exemplifies it... IMO there are some unnecessary (but not bad) new audio effects in the beginning of the movie that scream "NEW AUDIO MIX" but there's a point in the movie when the audio remaster is not so spectacular anymore. For example: in the beginning of the movie when the VF-1s are taking off, the surround sound is all over the place. In the final battle, there are many scenes of the SDF-1 that could have used the 7.1 mix but all the effects are focused in the front speakers. Video-quality wise, I agree that although some scenes look incredible, the HD remaster on DVD is less distracting since the contrast of blurry/clear scenes is not that obvious.
  13. btw, could you also post pics when you get to transforming it back to fighter?
  14. Reply from amiami: We sincerely apologize for the inconvenience. We believe our credit processing system is having trouble processing credit payments by Visa and MasterCard that are over 10000 JPY. We are of course working with our credit processing company to resolve this issue as soon as possible, but at this time we are unsure when it may be fixed. In the meantime, you can either submit your payment by PayPal, or we can split your order into amounts less than 10000 JPY so that you can submit your payment directly by credit card. For orders of single items that total over 10000 JPY, other measures would need to be taken that are a bit more complicated (and it would be easiest if you could please pay for those kinds of orders by PayPal). Please contact us if you require assistance submitting payment for your orders.
  15. Just got the payment request from amiami but, again, they have problems accepting payments by Credit Card Had to send the payment by PayPal edit: sp
