To add to what Skull says You can with some types of rattle can decant the paint and add the right type of thinners too it and stor it like mormal modell paint, that way you can get the exact match. You may have to experiment with thiners etc as not all manufacturers are forth comming with the relevant info on the can or web etc. But if you get it right its a great option.

Im fairly sure I have the whole thread saved if you would like it so you can rebuild it exactly the same.

you missed out some bits... Everyone had Bandai 1/55's because they were the best and many threads were written about them. Then came Yamato and everyone rejoyced and wrote some more about them. Then they wrote some more about how they broke easily and everyone was unhappy. Then Yamato made some more and everyone was happy again..... And then the site got hacked (cue dark demonic music) and the members all rejoyced when the site went back up again. Then ......

That would be great a 1/6 figure made into a Zentran would be about correct for 1/48 or 1/55 Just to let all know the Samurai Monkey Forums have been hacked and Everyone will have to Re- register to see them again. Rob is rebuilding the site at this time.

Well looks kinda like the F15. Well what it would look like if it was designed today and not 20 odd years ago.

I did the masking tape trick a while back when I started making a decal sheet. Just cover the area in a singular piece of tape. Draw the out line of the design on and then peel the tape off you can then scan in to the computer and use your Vector graphic program to finish it. you can Print it out on masking tape adhered to a really thin bit of plasticard in your bog standard inkjet wait for it to dry and peel off and try for size. Repeatedly resizing and printing will get you scale on track. Then crack out the big guns and finish your decal sheet off and print on proper decal paper.

I think I saw it at least 3 times before I started to a. like it and b. understand it. Then after I saw it a the local theater dress up in a lab coat and fishnets I changed my mind. Its just a piss take of hollywood and modern life. I think a remake of that would be more forgiving that a straight up remake of some other great film. At least with RHPS it's been seen a thousand times by all the fans and each time it goes on tour it has different actors doing it who bring there own thing to it. So in that sense the fans are already on the right wave length. But Holly wood should go more new I think. There are thousands of short story writers out there who have material that could be used both Sci Fi and normal stuff.

I posted mine on here some time back when I started it back then the pit was the only bit I did. Tried to get it movie accurate but gave up and did a bit of artistic licence due to the low ammount of shots I could screen grab of the insides in the film.

Oh dear a new level of sh!*t has been found.

Does look like someone had a few vouchers for the Automart and bought a load of customizing bits, before they even decided what car to use. "dont worry guys we'll make it all fit...." Totally missed the point of Kitt. The sort of car you can park in the lot and it wont get noticed except by all the low lifes who want to steal it. May as well have used a J.C.B and pimped that.

The very same kit thats just had paint and future and is awaiting panel lining and dirtying up on my bench.

I chipped my Miria just putting it back together

Austin Alegro. Basically a Princess with different bits on. They were crap in the 70's but now they have cult classic status be case they all rusted and got crushed. So...If you have one they are sort after aparently

I have the same set at home but I was thinkin theres nothing like a good ole Valk to give it scale, this thing is arround 6 feet in length, and takes up more space in MT's house than he does.

Thanks for that

What mess looks "normal" to me.

I made up a small template on some masking tape and used a very sharp and small scalpel blade after I drilled out a hole with my pin viceto allow me access. Took a far while but looks factory.
-
I agree those black decals are a PITA to get looking right. I for one will never put em on again and will just paint instead.

Ahhh Dont you diss the plastic pig. Good ole Reliant for inventing the Robin. Apparently they'll do 90 down hill or tied to a rocket.

Welcome to the slippery and shiny slope of 1/55 moddin. There are tones of Jetfires poping up on eBay all the time usualy very cheap. I bought up loads a couple of years agao and now have made up several with all my spares and still have enough for a few more. I'd use these first to save waisting good Valks. Nothing like a Yellowed Jetfire with a nice new coat of paint. Also the $5 cheap boots are good for kid customs as they are light and car paint adheres well to them. As far as spares and FP set etc go you can get them here from SilverDragon, just Pm him.

I did as above. Basically I just took measurements from my Hikaru 1J and cut out the holes.
