I think there was never any offcial art work done by Hasegawa. The only art work I have ever got was with the decal set I got. Im sure it was a special from one of the Japanese Model mags. My decals came from Crazy Modeler via evil bay.

Looks like the vaporware just solidified. Great work, I love it. I'd still love to have a helmet like that for using on the road on my bike. If only O.K now someone who knows industrial sewing machines go out and make flight suits

I have always liked that rendition of Jetfire, just enough of the Taka/Bandai original with modern TF designs. Now you go and paint it as a Fokker, Awesome. I have painted up my one to look more used, but keeping the original colours. I have always thought they always look too clean, TF's are dirty scratched and dented. Recently I saw the Japanese version, IMO it is better than the U.S/U.K version. May have to break out the paints again.

I have one of these that is already built from the 80's, back then they were about £10 in the local model shop. Mine needs a bit of a remake and re-decaling, to get rid of 25 years of neglect. I may well do the ball joint thing too. My only trouble may be the decals some of the white ones could be a pain to reproduce Great build by the way, this is my favorite macross mech with the VF1.

The making of a 1/72 Tacticar Pod Graug--the musical!
big F replied to captain america's topic in Model kits
Well the Renshape and resin suppliers are not gonna be feeling the pinch in the recession anymore. -
I always though that Freelancer could have been epic as a capital ship slug fest, just build a world with out all space lanes and remove a lot of the planets. Similar to what was done for the various Starwars conversions. Only populate it with Zentran ships and Macross class carriers. then get rid of the pointless in this case planet fall stuff. Add macross sounds and music and bingo !!

Yup and one of them drops the bomb as say to hell with it lets go 1/24. I'd like a 1/48 Batroid providing they put all the extra details into it. More detail than the Yamie or it wouldnt be worth it, removable pannels internal detail etc, even the little repair hands seen on Roys in Booby trap.
-
Why the hell Yamato never did this in 1/48 is beyond me. At least with Kurt we all get to see what it would be like to actually have one, albeit one that would have to painted by him. Great work man

True..... But this is the reboot so I guess they rebooted that idea too.

Nice Most everyone has already said what I'm thinking

Maiden Excellent work. I am in awe of your work. HWRII You know I love your work. Mechtech Solder work on lead figures/ models is a hard thing. Get the temp too high and you have a pool of solder too low and it wont take. Then you gotta sand it down. Add to that 1/200 scale and you just raised the bar.

Paperwork is great. I would be as proud of these as any Hasegawa kit. Probably take as long to make anyhow. Hats off to all you paper crafter types.

Mold Milking Mode engaged. Did Hasegawa merge with Yamato or something. Come on guys do a fighter version instead.

[rant mode] I feel your anger most of the U.K couldnt give a dead dingo about Corrie. I have lost count of the ammount of people who arrange their lives around that waste of air time. That and the people that actually talk about it as if it were real and they were actually there. Eastenders is just as bad by the way. I cant help think that people who see this syndicated on other networks must think A: the U.K is dull and full of moaning people who have afairs and bury people under patio's or B: it has no ethinc diversity as you only ever have the token coloured family living on the street/close or what ever it is. Ive been to these places (Manchester, the Eastend etc) they are anything but. They are some of the most diverse places in the country, not this mono race hell hole depicted in the soap dramas, I use the word drama loosely as they are far from dramatic. My friends misses is Polish and she says that Eastenders is popular in Poland. Gods only know why, she hates it, luckly for her so does my friend. [/rant mode] Notes to writers: Writers of Soaps, we dont care about your street/close or whatever. We all secretly hope it will burn down killing all the residents. Writers of comedy, we dont need your silly laughter track to point out the funny bits. Writers of Sci Fi, dont use technobable to describe something when you dont know how to show it in a scientfic way, we can smell your lack of knowledge, like sharks smell blood.

Thats what I'd always assumed. Remove money and you'd be left with bartering, that would be a step backwards. Make it C$ or just credits on a card its all the same even if the authorities give them out to the populous. I recon thats the way the reeboot will go in respect to money.
-
Oddly this may actually work. Much like BSG it has a fondness and nostalgic vibe to it. Make it more "real" and gritty pop in a few cameos from the original and et volia you may have a contender to take up the slack that BSG has left.

OMG!!!!!! Unfortunately there is not a fall over in shock smiley for this forum. Easily the best thing semi scratch built I have seen on MW in ages. Shame that we all cant have one.
-
Why ??? The original was at best an OK action romp. The only best bit was at the begining when Stalone drops the girl. The camera work was excellent, after that it was average action fun. Im sure there are several hundred kids in elementary school who could write some scripts if Hollywood is that desperate. My god give a hundred monkeys typewriters and see what they come up with.

Oh yeah!! The more I see of this thread the more I want to get into fan duct RC. Having not flown in years this could prove exppensive though I may need lots of glue and duct tape

LOL The arms will still fall off though

ROTFLMAO So true. I guess its up to the individual viewer though. I liked the film, sure there were inconstancies and such, and it may not be "Trek" but take it as it is in a world where the reeboot is now considered normal Hollywood behaviour, and a real world where the original back story of post apocalyptic WWIII earth rises from the ashes etc wouldn't fit in today. Its a bit like Macross in that way. You would have to reeboot that, 1999 has been and gone to make that fit you'd either be making a partially historical drama or you'd just have to say the SDF1 crashed in 2020 or something just so that the historical part was satisfied. In the TOS they had small hand-held coms devices that could "phone" an orbiting ship. Now in the 1960's that was future tech Nowadays most of us have small cell phones almost with ability. Top end real sat phones are not that much bigger. To make it more believable, for the average movie gower you have to bring it all up a notch thus that is the essence of a reeboot and not just an authentic remake. therefore some flexibility is called for. Call it a reeboot an alternative reality or what ever it is still Trek. The only way it wouldn't be was if Harmony Gold got the rights and renamed it SpaceTech and cut up the footage, re dubbed it and re marketed it with plastic action figures and stopped anyone else making toys or talking about it.

Very cool

I fear that this is the case for me, that and money issues. Money aside though if I get sorted I'll get one just because I can. That and a trip to Canada may be cheaper than the post costs of getting that beast to the U.K. Either way it will be one hell of build thread

LOL We just need some red matter and a unused planet to create a singularity from. How about Venus, Nobody there except big tanks and Monobikes. Just steal the cast bring them to the future and plonk them on the new sets..... and ACTION!!

Holly cow they are small.
