    Robert Thurston is a great novelist. Didnt realise there wer more Jade Falcon books. I have the first three and most of the preceeding Battletech novels. Havent bought any Btech books in getting on for 15+ years Thurston has written other novels and film adaptations too. Other Battletech books worth reading are the Warrior trilogy by Michael A Stackpole Although this centers on the I.S and is Pre-clans

    Looks also like you can actually use the Minmay attack al la Macross II, also looks like it will be the Sheryl or Ranka attack too. I hope that you can play online with multi wing men. What I'd really like though is mission play multiplay with a really hard level setting, somthing where you are seriously out numbered etc.

    Thanks to everyone who posted pictures and accounts here. I am sad that I couldnt go. I would love to say that I'll be there for the 10th aninversary but for now I will say maybe. Congrats to all the winners and some awesome customs etc. Mitch Glad to see you have another 1/55 to custom. Thoses cheapo KO's are not so bad when you add GBP armor to them

    Yes the story had some holes in it large enough to drive a Macross class carrier through. The singing was at times too much. The animation in anything other than the character based stuff was not the best and often used recyled footage. They messed with Max and Millia. Spent too much time with padding out the story, and not enough time telling us why the enemy was like that. The real crime was they ended it just as some renegade Meltrans turn up and sturr it all up, such a missed oppertunity. I saw the series after I had already seen Dynamite, so it was not so much of a "shock" to me. Best bits the VF19 the VF17 the VF22 not to bothered by the enemy mecha but they are part of the series and story. Not so bothered by Battle 7 would have prefered a modified Macross class carrier. Like it or loath it its part of Macross I cant say that I wont buy any Yamato M7 Valks. probably would a V-17 though. But would buy (and have) any 1/72 model kits, afterall my first kit I bought in Tokyo was a Wave VF17 I now have enough of that kit to make all of Diamond force and the millia custom I'd jump at the chance of a Hasegawa version though. I guess its like Marmite you eaither love it or hate it.

    Supose they were a trial gotta have a trial before you can market drugs properly. Crazy geezer did get to his suit becase next day he was cleaning up bodies. Supose Luke wouldn't be affected as he's off the grid and not really entirely human IIRC. Old guy gets unplugged because he is getting the signal and due to him not going the first time arround is obviously wrong and a risk to them. So they get rid of him by making his brain pop.

    I guess that the new Hollywood way of thinking is. 1. Dream up really good script for remake or totally new idea. 2. Hire A listers to play parts based on looks and role. 3. Dumb down script due to budget and making sure the movie apeals to a wider audience. 4. Get rid of A list script writers and A list actor types. 5. Chuck old script out and write new one with lots of pointless product placement and add in slo-mos and un-needed padding. 6. Cut parts of the film to make it shorter as audiences have short attention spans, thus making film full of continuity errors and WTF moments. 7. Publish and spend more on advertising than you make back. 8. After mediorcre reviews and takings, plan sequel. 9. Got to 2, but bring back bad guy who so obviously was dead and add to the script. 10. Buy dead horse and whip 11. Repeat until bored or bankrupt.

    You do realise that since the U.K goverment privatised British Rail this service has now been discontinued One thing that these films do show is the stupidity of war in general. even if in the likes of Pearl Harbor the Bayformer pads it out smulchy kissing, love triangles and slow-mo's.

    Harriet Jones was a ballsy character all right. About Jack's brother. If Jack can resurect from a small ammount of tissue and bone then Im sure his brother would do so also, so we may have not seen the last of him. The 456 use human children as drugs. From the glimpses you get looks like they were possibly grafted on to the host or carried arround and used like a sort of PEZ despenser to pop the hormones or what ever they get high on.

    Just saw it too as a trailer for TF's 2 (the first time it didnt have it as a trailer) Looks good.Will be on my list to see. What are the chances that there will be some kinda twist in the story.. Tarantino loves that.

    The only thing that really bothers me is a post that askes the samne questions that have been asked over and over in threads over the years. You know like "Whats your favortite 1/48 Yamato" and "Do you think they will ever make more bad guy figures" or "How do I make pannel-lines" etc. USE the search facility on MW thats what its for. Generally if I get messaged that a new thread is started with a question like that I just dont bother with it. I got more important things to do, that said if it is a new twist on an old question i'll at least take a look.

    LOL My PS one was bought to play all games. Ahh those were the days all you needed was a chip and a decent multi scan T.V. My Japanese Ceramic White PS2 was bought just to play Macross Playstation games which I bought for it while in Tokyo. In fact the only other game its ever had inside it was ACE and even that has a VF1 in it My PSP was bought in Japan too and I only own one english game for it. My MAF UMD used to live in it but now I have the rip on the memory stick in it all the time, not that I play much else any how. Most likely the firmware will need an update Sony are unlikely to miss the chance of an update before the release date. Oh well the likes of dark Alex will sort it for everyone in the Modified firmware world. My guess will be it will be available in UMD and download for the PSPgo. Sony memsticks are comming down in price but will never be as cheap as SD or Compact flash due to everyone having to pay Sony a royalty for each one sold/made. Capacity hikes will force a general price drop over time, so this will be good news all round.

    Yeah Torchwood was kinda done for after the Canary Wharf Dalek/Cyberman incursions. (This was a David Tennant episode) Yes the Doctor did have a hand in the creation of U.N.I.T, it was a Jon Pertwee episode from the 70's. Traditionally U.N.I.T has been pro Dr Who whereas Torchwood was always a bit anti Dr Who due to them being anti alien in general. Queen Victoria was a bit miffed by his ability to just pop in when ever he saw fit, upset a few people a bit and then leave, hence her ordering the setting up of Torchwood.
