  1. Thanks Graham
  2. ROTFL they showed The night the Cylons came to earth as a movie in some cinemas in the U.K my bro and I saw it twice, well it was current then and I was 11. The reeboot is some much better, something not to be embaressed about telling your mates about.
  3. I agree more lately story telling has taken a really far back seat in place of visuals in most films, and in some cases not so. To be fair Avatar has its bad points but you see it for the visuals and the story comes second although it is a good story. Unobtainum is a HollyWood in joke sadly they used it here could have just made up a vaugely radioactive sounding substance like costalotatonium. Admantium or how ever its spelt was used in Lost in Space amoung others, eventhough we all know its from Xmen. There are talks of this being part of a bigger story with more to come not sure if it is gonna be directly related or just from the same universe. NugundamII I agree with you your choice of the last 12 months of films are good Star Trek saw it opening night District 9 oh yeah The Hurt Locker not seen it yet but all my friends loved it Watchman oh yeah Coraline whats not to dislike Ice Age 3 all good UP see Hurt locker Saw it so so Law Abiding Citizen not seen it yet Terminator they dropped the ball a bit on this one Monster vs Aliens Its got aliens and monsters and its a cartoon Taken not seen it yet Just a complete waste of time "should have known better" Inglorious Basterds MEH!! Wolverine could have been so much more Transformers 2 knew what I was getting into here. Its more for the visuals and big robots knocking poo outta each other but Id like to add to your list of Just a complete waste of time "should have known better" Burn After Reading what a load of crap, I want my hour and a half back. I agree the trailers dont really do it justice by a long way. In the same way as you see some trailers and you know they just used all the good bits and the film will be meh!! Avatar just uses a couple of good bits and the rest are meh!! its the visuals that do it justice.
  4. I got mine on my first trip to Tokyo, it was not long after the launch of the PSP. Still works just great although I modded the firmware a while ago so I can access all my UMDs from a memory card. No need to take em arround and risk loosing them or damage etc. All those cheap Gigs of storage . Does anyone know how to go back to earning upgrade points, somewhere I seem to have changed to getting Nyan Nan points instead. IIRC it was after I purchased the VF 19 Blazer mid way through the M7 missions.
  5. Well I saw this film last night our local Cinema had it in both 3D and 2D we went to the 3D showing as we had never seen a propper 3D film those blue and green glasses things on T.v dont count. The theater was rammed and we got great seats in the middle. As has been said here one of the trailers made really good use of the 3D with stuff flying past you from behind. There were lots of ohhs and ahhs and people even reached up to grab stuff. The 3D use was on the whole not ott. A few scenes were really 3D and you followed the story as if you were in it. The CGI was great and felt real most of the time. The panoramics were great, think those slow fly bys used in wildlife stuff when going over the rain forests, only with bigger trees. The story is basically the conquest of America and the Native Americans, how the Europeans and Americans just moved the locals out if the needed the land and resources etc. The Tech (except the Avatar machines) was not overly techy and plausable. There are no ray guns and everything has a more grounded feel al-la new BSG. The mecha are basically Aliens Powerlifters with sealed cockpits that carry guns. Overall I really liked it and would happily see it again. Bows and arrows do work when the arrows are 4 foot long Blue cat people are cool, how would you empathise with them if they didnt look vaguely humanoid. The 1980's Tripods were made with chichen wire and bubble wrap by the BBC on a budget that wouldnt buy tea an coffee for the crew nowadays. You never had to really empathise with them because they frelled up their own planet and wanted ours. You kinda get the feel that sometime in the future Mankind will be doing something like this when it finds resources and life on other worlds. As in Independance Day only we will be the Aliens conquring the world. Now I have seen it in 3D how am I gonna ever cope with it in Bluray HD when it comes out. Our local theater is upgrading 4 more screens to cope with 3D as aparenlty 20 films are comming out with 3D options in the next year. Now wheres my 3D screen for home use?? I can imagine watich the news in 3D.
  6. Thanks for that. Strange that It did not let me choose last time I tried ?? Playing through zero again and maxing out another Mecha was the only great thing I got out of starting again. The only pain in the ass thing is how I have obviously changed my play style due to the experience points my primary playing character had earned. plying dumbed down in maxed out Valks is not the same. Well on with the maxing out process
  7. One word Completisum, not actually sure if it is an actual word but you all know what I mean The only good thing in Galactica 80 was the bikes, we all want one of those.
  8. Arg !! my save has broken 29 hours of play loads of SS missions and most everything maxed out. Just started on the Plus missions got awarded the 19 and 21 and it just freezes the psp. Start a new save and go straight to the plus missions and it locks up at the same point. ??? Is it normal that when starting a new save you keep all the tune points and custom colours from your first save. Worst case is I need to do all the missions again and get my SS and S ranks spend a whole load of time getting points for the shop and getting back my level 21 and maxed out character stats.
  9. That old kit is worth the bother, you did it justice. For something made 20 years ago. it still holds it own.
  10. Keep up the great work Looks great to me.
  11. They dont as far as I know. Just over a year ago they had them on clearance for about £10. I got mine. Not used it yet though. It is very good quality though.
  12. Any work done is one step closer to us all being able to play this
  13. Epic Deculture!!
  14. It is quite posible that coating the freshly peroxided plastic with Krylon or Plasticote clear may shield it from the air which may stop or really slow it down. This is how ever totally useless if you have anything that is really worth money though but fine for customs.
  15. There was/is a tread on this very subject here on MW. I amoung others did some quite extensive research on this. For all who want or need to know you need sunlight as it helps to activate the peroxide and a sealed glass jar is needed. you will maybe need to open it at some point to let out the exess gasses. It can and will react with metal especially the nickle based plating used in toys. Thats not to say it will be a disaster it can just make it go a bit white or blacken it slightly. I can mess with stickers but the type that is used on Bandai valks (the clear ones) are ok. Silver foil ones as used by Hasbro also seem to come out ok. It does work the stronger the solution the faster it will work. Im blessed with an office window that is south facing and even when its cloudy get goods light. Now to the bad..... After doing this to my test subject a Bandai 1/55 made of parts. I put all the parts into storage in a cool room and sealed in a box. Months later the yellowing is starting to come back. I am fairly sure this is not an isolated case, maybe if Bandai used a slightly different mix to say Hasbtro then you may have better permanant results. On the really bad Im sure that some are using this to great affect on eBay to hock otherwise near worthless plastics (both toys and other stuff) as minty fresh hardly touched classic collectables. Be carfull out there. I have used it on various thing like old classic telephones toys and auto parts. it does work on most of them, blacks and dark colours sometime suffer but all come out better. Im not saying dont try it. It is great seeing those yellowed crapped out toys comming out all new like. especially as when you first put em in you keep checking every few mins to see is theres a change. Then like in all good things that day you dont look at it at all is when it all changes. Try it you have nothing to loose. Just a few $/£ etc on cheap Hydroperoxide and a jamjar or preserves jar to put it all in. Obviously it goes without saying dont dunk your $500 mint in box Valk you got at that comic-con unless you have done some practicing. One thing I have yet to try is sealing them in clear coat such as plasicote or its U.S version to see what this does to stop the yellow comming back.
  16. I think you'll have no problems drumming up work here at MW
  17. I cant wait to see what the Capt and Mr Cheng come up with. the level of detail on 1/48 scale is so vast compared to 1/72, we get some good work shown here in 1/72 so 1/48 should be a treat for us all. Im in, Fighter, Battroid and FastPacks and GBP, in fact heck just do em all
  18. So cue a long wait to see it in the U.K or fire up the torrent engine until it comes out on DVD/Blueray.
  19. Even at 1/100 this is still a big mother. Lets hope it doesnt go the way of the Dodo before its released,
  20. Kinda similar to "if you build it they will come" although no baseball games and no corn fields will get ruined.
  21. It will grow on you Im sure, it does though look like the sort of thing highschool level graphics students could dream up durring lunch break. Bet it still cost the Beeb millions to produce though.
  22. Very Very Nice. I love the TV old school Bandai feel of this build. Novel idea on the stand too

    How Rare?

Never seen one of those. Looks good though, if it is a custom job it is well made, any info from other members would be great.
