I like it. the whole thing feels very intimate, kinda like what I imagine fighter jocks think about when on long missions. I once saw a documentry about Spitfire and Huricane pilots durring WWII and one said that there were so many missions so often that when they were not on missions their life was so important to them, its what they held on to that kept them sane. So I can imagine that with lack of sleep and such reality would be come a bit blurred around the edges, You'd be left with moments of did it really happen like that or was that a dream of what actually happened. I hope you do well with this and will keep and eye on your site for updates.

Worst Science Fiction Film of All Time
big F replied to JELEINEN's topic in Hall Of The Super Topics
I actually liked that film, for a budget film it did ok, With all the interest in end of the world type films it would be a prime candidate for a modern remake with its, the Earth is F**ked and this is the only green stuff we have left, lets not blow it up, hell lets blow it up as it will be fun etc. From a modlers point of view it had some good stuff nice shots of the ship, Huey, Duey and Lewey, etc There are far worse mostly already mentioned here. -
Hell yeah!! That would be up there with those Japanese model videos that were on the net a few years ago, with the VF0 build and the Zaku etc.

I wish I could do it.

Bandai 1/72 Scale Macross Frontier Model Kit Thread Ver.3
big F replied to azrael's topic in Hall Of The Super Topics
I too am not to excited about the varible kits. They look great dont get me wrong, but its not a toy to me its a kit. Most of the previous Bandai transformable kits I have ever owned I built fixed. Heck I dont even transform my Yamatos or my 1/55's. Any info on how acurate they are when built fixed would be great. I know the MW acuracy police can help us there. Things I would want to know is how much filling and seam line removing etc would be needed. I Fear that Hasegawa will never get a chance to show their stuff in this arena. I think its the same for the M7 stuff I'd Love to see what they could do with a Vf-17 and the other M7 variants etc. -
The fact that you can chop the kit up and still get something that is recognisable is as much testament to the work Kawamori put in as it is to the way Hasegawa thought construction through. Role on Battroid and Gerwalk versions. If we sont get em Im sure someone will pony up the parts for a conversion kit. In the same way they did for the VF1-D battroid conversion, that was available from starshipmodeler a year or so back.

You know they will it's just a matter of time.

My god this makes the 1/72 look shite, and we all know its not, cant wait to see mine

This is one for all you who are able to get the BBC's Eastenders. In Ian Beal's Cafe there is an arcade machine. on said machine is the Macross scrolling shooter from the 80's. its been in the show for years and you can often see it, most notably when the Tuna head screen is showing. I wonder if they know its worth. Oddly recently there was a fire/explosion in the Cafe, I feared the worse, but after it rebuild the only original thing is the arcade machine. Cant find a picture of it but its there.

Mines on its way. IIRC I have 25 ish kits to go before this one, add that to my enforced modeling exile may mean its a classic before its built.
