  1. Roy is such a bad-ass that he got killed and is still dating Claudia!
  2. I had that kit a long time ago; I remember using plastic card and plastic welder to fill gaps on it (it was that bad!). I would love to try it again and use sprue to make my own pilots!
  3. Is CBS still going to do the "To Boldly Go" series, or did they back out of that? I've been out of the loop a bit with IRL stuff as of late...
  4. And make sure to order 2 kilos instead of just one... Oh wait: wrong Heisenberg. O.o
  5. This may be of assistance to you peter: Agatha Chamberlain did diagrams noting the color differences between the Refit and the A versions: https://culttvman.com/main/agatha-chamberlains-refit-enterprise-diagrams/
  6. https://memory-alpha.fandom.com/wiki/Auto-destruct
  7. Okay, thanks for the clarification!
  8. Just out of curiosity: would Roy have been considered equal or slightly lesser rank to Misa Hayase? In RT, they were both Commanders (I think); in SDFM Roy was Major iirc, and Misa I think she was a Lieutenant, but she was also ship's Xo (unless I'm mistaken). On a less serious note...speaking of Roy and Hikaru:
  9. As far as I'm concerned, that ship is a flying explodium exhibit looking for a place to happen.
  10. Imperial-sized shipwash? Thanks!
  11. Thanks!! I got the addition painted up, and it's now paired with the "open engine" leg I built: I really wanted the sense of people actually working on the Valkyrie, so I wanted open parts, open cockpits, you name it. I might decide to open the cockpit on the Destroid when I can get a moment (have my first exam tomorrow at 1:15 PM, so pray for me folks!), so we'll see how that goes! But of course, I also want to be able to display Hikaru's Vf-1J as a whole valk, so here's the original leg (I keep in in the "valk can" with the other optional parts):
  12. *pengbuzz falls over from sheer overload* "peng... macross...overload... must...build...MORE...."
  13. Meanwhile, working on yet another project (for the diorama): (no, it's not a one-man death laser! lol ) It's a seat/ post combo for my 1/72 Imai valks, so the head can be displayed "flipped forward", with the seat up (per Macross). Here's a pic of the valkyrie in battroid mode with this snapped into place: It simply plugs onto the post the head would normally use, and then you just plug the head into place at the end. I'll be painting this up in a little while (had to repait the little "l-shaped" plastic tab on the 1S' nose that hooks the back to the front, so that takes priority.
  14. Lol, yeah, right? Anyways, since we're on that topic: progress pics from start to (now) finished: Had to refine the paint job a bit towards the end, but hopefully, my friend who commissioned this likes it.
  15. I wonder about a prequel where the original Protoculture society's wars are examined? Maybe a "hour before doomsday" scenario? Or one where the pre-SDF-1 is launched on it's last flight? Maybe even a sequel series where a portion of the Protoculture society survived and is not thrilled about humanity?
  16. Meantime: A friend gave me this and asked me to make it "screen accurate": Give me a week, and...
  17. "POS"??!! Dude, if mine came out looking half as good as that, I'd be thrilled beyond belief!!! With all due respect: I don't ever want to hear you insult yourself or your work, peter (and I mean that in the nicest possible way! ). You're build looks remarkable, and I think you have something to be proud of here! Kudos on a job well done!
  18. At least in Macross, the only difference in the Valkyries were the head, and that's kinda hard to keep track of in a fight.
  19. Well, I thought I was done with my Macross Factory..until a good friend sent me some material support in the form of 1/72 scale figures. the issue I ran into though was that the previous figures I had already installed were smaller than 1/72 (about 1/100).... So...that required some work on the vehicles to get them to the proper scale. (enlarging cabin on boom truck, making tow tractor a bit thicker, etc.) Then I got more bright ideas (yes, the fun never ends...) Anyways, some pics for right now; my camera battery is low, so I have to recharge it. I'll have more later this evening folks. meantime, enjoy the couple I managed to get: (crappy as they are):
  20. Just plain WOW AND A HALF!!! You really have a knack for detailing and weathering! *picks jaw up off of floor*
  21. REALLY nice job on this, Photogirl!! Just blown away with the detailing and weathering!!
  22. Don Matthys used to make replacement parts for both the D as well as the Refit/A, but he passed away some time ago. :( Not sure if anyone took up his molds and whatnot, as I don't frequent Starship modeler as much as I used to.
  23. Try spraying some primer to see what you actually have left to fill.
  24. Sigh...if Dana ever landed head first on the ground, she's be stuck there with all the pointy stuff on her helmet.
  25. Steve Jobs haunting us from beyond the grave...aka "Ghost In The Machine: Silicon Valley Complex"
