They really put a good amount of color and markings on the monster, can't wait to get one.
  2. To me the green zaku still falls under the recolor category.
  3. I think the unicorn is the smart choice here. As fidgety as it sounds they will probably go transformable on it. They did do a zeta with a head transformation. I personally would rather see the other 2 choices, but with rg they usually go with the gundam first. Have they ever done a support good guy yet? Not counting a re color for rg.

I think the major issue about a 1/60 scale monster isn't height as much as length and width. The top cannons and arms would just be in the way any where I could think to display it. If I had a bigger place and $600or more to spend on a toy, I would love to have one.
  5. Hey areaseven I built that Sazabi a few years back and it was very simple for the size. If you're into filling seam lines the shot rifle is the only spot that needs it. It's also a very good looking completed kit and great for people that complain that 1/144 are too small.
  6. I always felt that the original movie was just perfect. I would have rather seen a sequel rather than a reboot made, maybe with the new characters being daughters of the older characters as an excuse for an all female cast or maybe just a younger crew hired on by the older generation or something.
  7. I think sh figuarts has blank figures too. They may be a little taller than figma, but would probably workout with that Breetai that was teased a bit back.

I'm gonna have nap time with my monster😁
  9. Max factory does injection kits. The new dougram kits the chamber from that show I can't even try to spell are some examples.
  10. I was looking At the pictures again( can't stop) and noticed the seam lines look very well placed. I was a little worried about a prepainted kit needing seam filling and repainting.
  11. The green lense in the above post is the one confusing me. I have to admit I haven't seen the show yet and don't really understand the function of the orb in the head yet so any one with info could end my confused state.
  12. I preordered last night at work. This may have the best looking battroid since the hasegawa kits.
  13. It says 2mode set that for the price I think you get parts for the fighter and battroid and probably the extra parts for gerwalk although I can't read the description. It looks like from the pictures of the fighters that the 1a has a TV pilot and the 1s has the movie Roy. If the pilots are easy to remove I may repaint them and swap them so I can have a tv Roy.
  14. I was looking at the grimgerde again and now I'm a bit confused by the head. I thought the eye was in the top area with the yellow circle, but now after seeing a review pic there seems to be a green lense sticker in what I thought was the throat area. Now it looks like a robot with a bunny hat.
  15. It looks like they have a bundle set for these.

There was an episode or two where the monster magically hovered, I think one of the examples was a Mars base scene. Those scenes may have been due to low budget or lazy animators or maybe a misunderstanding of the mechanics.

    VE-1 Geshapon??

Most of the toys toynami puts out seem to start out as something someone else already made better like their 1/100 transformable valkyries that were just up scaled banpresto's. They even made the panel lines wider on those in the up scale.
  18. I hope these turn out well. Maybe other macross series could be added like macross plus or zero along with the ones shown.

    VE-1 Geshapon??

It looks like a dressed up version of that resin kit from a few years ago, if you look at the upper legs and upper arms they have that weird diamond shape.
  20. These look way better than the wave battroids.

i guess when a toy of something that hasn't had a toy or at least hadn't had one since the early 80s nostalgia just happens. That being said I'm down for at least one monster and I'm gonna save up and maybe get a couple more depending on my personal economy.

When I was a kid the 80s robot craze had taken over, but here in the states it was a bit tough to get the real versions of toys. I had the Jetfire, and a matchbox robotech monster and a couple of pirated macross toys I think called triple changers or something. The Japanese kits were only slightly easier to get, but not by much. I had some arrii valkyries, and an Imai monster that was just slapped together with no paint or anything. This hmr series may not be perfect, but it sure is making me happy to see items other than just another valkyrie repaint all the time.
  23. The way the pricing is listed it looks like you buy the battroid and fighter then combine parts for the gerwalk. I may be wrong though.
  24. That 1a looks great, I can't wait to get my hands on these.
