    The YF-21's purge mode doesn't do anything but get rid of the limbs, right? The limbs that aren't visible and don't play any functional role in fighter mode anyway? Unless you're adamant about displaying it in battroid mode with its arms and legs shot all to hell, I don't see any reason why they should engineer that into the toy. And I mean, if push comes to shove you could just take the limbs apart and get the same result...

    I don't know much about the transformation of this VF. Are the legs basically just stowed away inside the body of fighter mode, or are they arranged to conform to/create a certain shape? I'm wondering if they're shaped the way they are for any specific reason, or if the sculptors have relative freedom to, well, sculpt them however they see fit. They're probably that way for a more stable standing pose, but I'd have preferred the legs to be longer and/or more spindly-looking. To me the YF-21 battroid always looks rather precariously top-heavy, like it rightfully shouldn't be able to walk around on those legs. Or like it's always hovering above the ground, and those legs are never meant to touch down.

    A spare for when my not OCD inevitably gets the best of me and I just HAVE TO mod one to look how I think it should, royally screw it up, and bemoan the fact that I no longer have one for each mode. Oh, forgot to ask: The yellow lining on the bottom of the fighter mode. Am I correct in assuming that's just the same overly aggressive Bandai tampo job that gave the YF-19 the ugly writing on its wings? Or is that actually in the design/artwork?

    As always, the only way to get the best of all worlds would be to make separate toys in each of the three modes. Ah well. I guess I have no choice but to spend $1200 on four of these. No choice whatsoever. No choice. None.

    Not digging the leg sculpt... or much of the battroid sculpt in general... or the fighter mode... Preorder when.

    Second all the above options. It all depends on what was used. Experiment on an area that you don't mind potentially ruining(!!!!) to find out what was used. Start with the water and/or alcohol as they're the least likely to damage anything else on your Valk (paint, tampo, plastic itself, etc.). And double second the Q-tip recommendation. Some of these solvents can make plastic brittle, so... yeah, you'll want to be as conservative with them as possible. By the by, I'm gonna go out on a limb and assume the panel lining was done with black ink. Black panel lining on the tan/orange of a CF tends to be off-putting to most people; if you decide to re-do the lining work, I'd recommend going with a brown or rust red, something along those lines.     Man.... That was really disappointing. I wanted to like it. I was hoping it would be good, I kept hoping it would be good, and then it ended and it wasn't. It was just kind of... bland. Normal. Unsurprising. Run of the mill. I dunno. It just feels like the writers or director(s?) or whoever just completely forgot the kind of character that Joker should be and gave us a story that built some guy up to become... some guy, but more violent. Like, I'm all for original takes, and again, I was really looking forward to this, but nowhere in this did I feel like any of the ideas that make up the collage of the Joker take shape, and those ideas that replaced them were way less interesting in every single way.

    The issue is more that the regular 31E doesn't have parts for the "stowed radome." We were hoping this kit would have those parts, but it seems they've simply opted for the regular "stowed gun/charger pod," same as the other 31s.

    Yooooo, I didn't catch that my first time through the video. That kit is looking so good. AND they're teasing a Scherazade? Dare I hope for an Alseides, even?
