  1. Takatoys, you are da man. Thank you for releasing all of these different versions of your stickers to match (surpass is the word) Yamato's inferior originals. I'll definately be needing some sheets.

    Age Check! :)

30, 31 at the end of January. I was first exposed to the Takatoku toys about a year before I saw RowBoatTech on tv. I currently have 5 1/48s, soon to be 6 (VF-1J w/FP ), 4 1/48 DYRL FPs, 8 1/55 reissues and a few Banprestos.
  3. Wow, that custom is simply beautiful Rabidweezil. I especially like the wings. Keep us updated.
  4. My Hikaru 1S also has this minor problem. I removed the air brake and tried some small pieces of masking tape in the grooves where the bumps of the air brake rest, but without the desired effect. Has anyone fixed the loose air brake, please share your method. Want to see if there are other options before I apply some clear nail polish.
  5. Looks like you answered your own question, just go and get yourself the vf-1j. Neither the vf-1s or the vf-1j are better than the other, both are great toys. It just depends which head and paint scheme you prefer.
  6. 1 thing: Your answers are on the first page of this thread, I suggest you get to it if you want your clear FPs.
  7. Finally got mine today at F&S for $120 (box has two dings) and gotta say the 1S lovely. No paint sploches, canopy works fine, only the air brake is kinda loose, which is easily fixed with some masking tape for friction. It just needs its' own Strike FP set (hopefully on my 1S in less than a week), for that kick @ss look.
  8. Payment sent Rob, thanks a lot.
  9. I guess this means I'm a sophisticated collector who also knows how to have "fun", since I own both 1/48s and 1/55s.
  10. I know the black "RMS-1" and the white "UUM-7" stickers go on the missles, but where do they go specifically? Is there any canon art that shows this?
  11. I asked Takatoys this very same question about a month ago, and he responded that he will include the 001 red skull with the optional Low-Vis sticker sheet. Had to be another newbie. There is a search function you know! J/K Graham
  12. I agree, Yamato should release a regular run of CF 1A and a limited run of the CF 1J, like the Low-Vis.

    1/48 customs

Thanks for posting that link, imode. It's good to see 1/48 customs from time to time.
  14. Sebastian, going by your pic, it looks like a 1/48 in battroid with FAST Packs will not fit in the Detolf case. Just I'll have to keep looking for a case that's just right. EDIT> My bad. The angle of the pic looked like it wouldn't fit. Will have to go and check it out in person.

  16. Been waiting for this Indy set since I got my dvd player back in '98. Anybody see the set at Frank & Son this past weekend, and how much?
  17. All reissues 1 Hikaru 1J 1 Roy 1S 1 Hikaru 1A w/FP 1 CF w/FP 1 Max 1J w/FP 1 Miria(read the box) 1J w/FP 4 Super 1S (sold 3 valks without armor, turned last one into Max custom) Total 7
  18. Hey Noel, Graham already answered this.
  19. I believe my very first valk was a Takatoku 1/100 VF-1J Hikaru, if I recall correctly. I remember walking around with my dad in a drive-in theater swap meet about 20 years ago. A seller had a load of anime toys from series I had never seen. He had the larger 1/55 scale versions but my dad was not paying the higher price, so I had to settle for the 1/100. Anyway, what I remember the most is sticking out the valk out of the car window in fighter mode on the way home. The toy lasted a couple years and was probably thrown out by mom.
  20. Thanks for sharing your pics VHD. They're fantabulous. Makes me wanna pop in my Firefox dvd and scene select the arial battle with Second Firefox.
  21. Chunky Monkies FOREVER! Literally. It's the Tonka valk. I've been getting the 1/48 line but the CM still has a special place in my heart. aaah
  22. These look like Banpresto rejects. Just one word, fugly.
  23. Yamato should use a clear, adjustable platform to support the valk and the clamp should just rest on the FPs for anime accuracy. I plan on getting some of s i t h l o r d ' s stands, but not sure on this official stand. I'll wait 'til you guys review it.
