  1. Looks like they're gonna repop the Max & Miria wedding valk. Interesting. I kinda wish Hasegawa, or a different company, would give us a brand new version of the 1/72 valkyrie. I can't bear to look at the spindly, droopy legs. Give us a beefier version!
  2. So tired at work today, too! I regret staying up for nothing. So bummed out about this. All because a bunch of a-holes want to make a few bucks...
  3. Didn't get thru... Really bummed out. Stayed up late for nothing...
  4. Thank you! I set an alarm. I'm not gonna miss this one.
  5. Can someone tell me when the preorder window opens? I'm on Pacific time zone, California.
  6. I have a long, long ago abandoned Facebook account that I dare not reactivate for fear of "reconnecting" with those whom I'd rather stay away from.
  7. I'm excited about this! Right now I'm working and in school so 18-hour days and the fan on my Spray Booth died recently. So definitely this is not the perfect time for me to embark on a new build but I guess it's now or never! Also, I've never actually built a resin kit.
  8. Or someone can just start a brand new thread for the VF-1A.
  9. This is a must buy for me. I'm really excited for this. There're so many iconic scenes in the original SDFM involving this valk.
  10. I'm not sure how you can get a Max and not finish off the Vermillion Squadron with Kakizaki. It would drive me crazy.

I picked one up from this seller. I figure a small markup now is way better than paying through the nose later.
  12. Yay! Time to nitpick. The head seems a tad bit narrow. Definite must buy for me, regardless.
  13. I think I'll hold off and wait for an updated perfect finish version. Not gonna risk the broken leg.
  14. I'm wondering if I should pull the trigger on this purchase here. I'm worried about the whole leg falling off thing I keep hearing about. Also, is a perfect finish version gonna be released?
  15. Beautiful, just beautiful. You did a really good job on these. Thank you for sharing these.
  16. How are you guys getting cheap shipping from Amazon Japan?!? I'm in the US and can't seem to get anything shipped for under the cost of the item. Example: Item costs 7200 yen and shipping is 6800 yen. Something along these lines.
  17. I would definitely not recommend the Hasegawa 1/72 kit for a beginner. The build has some complicated areas that require some skill. For something easier, I recommend the 1/100 Wave kit. It is a more manageable build.
  18. I busted up laughing at that! You got me real good with that one!
  19. I'm not sure what you mean by old vs. new. Which kits list the ratios?

The amazon shipping is expensive to the usa though.

    Got mine from HLJ!
  22. They were nice it's just that they were so expensive for the size. I only picked up the 1J because it was on sale.
  23. Your builds are always so clean and professional looking! I always enjoy everything you post.
  24. joscasle, that's a perfect looking valk! I'm lovin' it! What'd that take? Say about 40 hours or so? I just can't get around to finishing mine. I'm inspired by how good yours looks but I'm also discouraged because I know mine won't turn out as good as yours.
  25. You're absolutely correct about the poor 3D model. I missed the point of The Capn's post. I was commenting purely on the potential that 3D printing still yields for the future. The Cap should show us, not tell us, just how great a hand molded-cast series of parts would be! An SDF-1 mastered by Mr. Cap'n would be amazing. We can all dream, can't we?
