  1. Sorry to go OT, but did this Black Friday sale materialize?
  2. THAT's the pic I saw on another forum (Robot-Japan).
  3. Wha? When was the 1/48 Max's TV VF-1A ever offered on HLJ?
  4. I'm curious to see how the rubber joint covers on the WAVE hold up over time. I read that the plastic joint covers on the reactive armor version of the CM's Ingram actually become brittle over time.
  5. Are you referring to the .pdf they are selling of the whole book or a downloadable preview? I can't seem to find any previews on their site.
  6. I hope HLJ somehow gets to offer the 1/48 TV VF-1A Max and VF-1A Kakizaki, too.
  7. Was anyone able to download the anniversary book preview before it was "sanitized"? Wasn't able to keep a copy so I'd appreciate a link.
  8. I can't believe this monster did well enough to warrant 2 more releases. Must be a lot more disposable income out there than I would have thought.
  9. Yeah, and disheartening, too. I could never get them to look that good. Probably I shy away from Gunpla, too.
  10. Those 3 zoids pictured above are painted Kotobukiya kits, right?
  11. I wonder if these have the new crotch mechanism
  12. Do Zoids kits look good assembled straight out of the box, or are they like Gunpla which, though pre-colored, require painting and further detailing to make them look as nice as promo shots suggest?
  13. The local import toy shop's pre-order sheet just calls it a "VF-1S Unpainted Version."
  14. Just got the latest pre-order sheets from our local toy import shop. It lists the VF-11C for P11,500.00, or approximately US$245.00 That's 115 Big Mac meals...
  15. In the Philippines, I think a 1/60 V2 costs around P6,500 (approx. US$138). A Big Mac meal is around P100 (approx. US$2). So a 1/60 V2 costs around 65 Big Mac meals.
  16. Overdrive should try that Free Shipping promo that HLJ did. Or at least offer SAL. EMS is just too expensive for shipments to the Philippines.
  17. Also waiting for 2 packages from HLJ, but neither has any Macross in it. The first (a Super HCM Pro Zaku and a Banpresto GM) were shipped via SAL FORTY (40) days ago. I still don't understand why it always takes close to NINETY (90) days to ship stuff from HLJ in Japan to the PHILIPPINES (!) via SAL!? The other (DMZ Strikedog) was ordered during HLJ's free EMS shipping promo, and so was shipped rather quickly. Unfortunately, it has been "In Customs" since Oct.2.
  18. Still pretty bummed about the brittle plastic on my Proto-Garland. I plan to email pictures of the breakage to Yamato USA and Overdrive, but I'm not really hopeful.
