the vehicle mode looks a little off (especially from the sides), but the robot mode looks accurate. Now that paint scheme needs to change, it blends in with the backround too much.

The idea of a Macross exclusive VF-1 toy came up a few times, including getting to the point of actually voting on a paint scheme. I never heard a final disposition to that idea. EDIT: Grammer

I highly doubt that. If TP has the right to seek damages from Big West, then this goes back to the question of why TP did nothing while all of Big West's Macross deriviatives came out.

I think this idea popped up before on the old boards in a thread about the costs of running the board. I know Shawn vetoed the idea, but I can't remember why.

I've already got a Roy VF-1S with FP's and minimal defects (only the crooked tail skulls), no need to buy another.

Ok, I have a few things to say here (actually more than a few but I won't get vulgar) 1) It was so nice of bankofkev to call me a Macross Purist when he knows damn well I am not. It was also nice of him to slice off most of my post including what I was actually talking about. I am so tempted to login over a Robotech.com (I am still a member there) and let that idiot have it. 2) So Big West blew their chance at the inernational market because Harmony Gold cancelled something??? I bet bankofkev has memory loss in regards to all the international releases of DYRL ( a few different times), Macross 2 and Macross Plus. I think the only Macross title that hasn't had international release in Macross 7. 3) It would be so nice of him to actually PROVE his remarks about us to our faces, not make snide comments about us in a forum that most MW members don't give a rats ass about.

Angel Birds 1A, simply because aside from the Hasegawa kit no one's ever made one. A transformable one would be great.

If Yamato spent the time and money to create a TV style FAST Pack set for the VF-1J, then it's also a safe bet that they fixed the pilot too. Hopefully this is an indicator that more TV valks are coming (CF, VF-1J Max, VF-1J Milla, etc...).

I am not buying the monster, too big and too expensive. I am definately buy any normal sized Destroids that come out and probably a few more 1/48 VF's (and applicable super/strike armor).

Now that I think about it, Lone Wolf and Apollo Leader are probably right. This was a test that HG failed, just like Yamato did last year.

I am guessing here that Jetfire was somewhat popular back in the day?? He's my first valk too, in fact he's standing eight next to my reissue Super VF-1S.

Does anyone know if it will be shown again?? I missed a lot of it due to family committments. What I saw was pretty decent, although I did miss about 40 minutes of it.

TurboGraphix 16 or Virtual Boy would have been my picks, but since only Virtual Boy was a choice that's what I voted on. There really wasn't anything wrong with the N64, just it's controller design sucked and a lot of it's games weren't very good.

Except for the solid blue nosecone, that looks like a blue version of the CF scheme in the screencap.

See, Effect, this is why I love you. That's why I can't believe a word that comes out fo the HG camp because what they have done as of now is very little for Macross (that includes the DVD release which barely has any advertising for these days if any). You understand the reasons why the so called "hardcore Macross fans" do not believe HG wants the original Macross to co-exist with Robotech. You pretty much listed all of what they could do if they really wanted to without insulting the fans by claiming the fans would get confused. Still they have only shown that they wish to claim all that is Macross so they may bury it and promote only Robotech. The small mentioning of Macross on RT.com are just forms of covering their butt to give the illusion of their support of Macross IMO. I've often stated they could release a whole new dub unedited which is closest like they had originally intended (even witht the sorry corny Macross theme music). HG has had opportunities to show their support for both series and they haven't done anything about it. The only thing they have done is continually pump life into Robotech and try to bury any awareness over here of Macross, a great example of that is the lawsuit threats over imported Macross toys last year.

Ok, unless I misread something, where does it mention what the timeline for the movie is?? It's possible the movie does take place in the future, possibly between Alien 3 and Alien Resurrection, which would make it a little more believable.

Well, at least I will get a second shot at the Max and Milla VF-1J's. Any ideas if the VF-1D will get re-released??

I hope there are a few modifications in mind for him (new face, a piviot point to fold the wings back), that one could have great potential to suck...
