  1. Yeah that has been discussed before. VW doesnt want death machines or some crap. Yeah, given VW's history and how it was started, that's really suprising from them. It was probably more $$$ related. BTW, BBTS still has Silverstreak in stock. I got mine on Friday. I'm still debating whether or not to give it an anime Bluestreak style black hood and roof.
  2. I like Lion Voltron, but not for $150.00. $50-$75, maybe but $150 is way too high.
  3. Speaking of things that should be disposed of, can we lose the member titles?? I am definately not amused by mine and would like it removed immeaditely.
  4. Makinen retired from WRC at the end of last year, so chances are pretty high that this car will just be Solberg, and therefore (slightly) reduce the collectibility of Monte Carlo 2003 car No.7 Smokescreen from last year. Then again, I think Solberg was running car no.1 at this years Monte Carlo.. so it's interesting to see. You're right, Solberg is running #1 this year. I think the other WRX is number 2, I am not sure on that though. I almost never see the second Subaru in the limited WRC coverage I have here.
  5. It's a new version of Smokescreen. They're updateing him to look like the 2004 WRX rally car. Basicaly just a minor repaint, but it should have a new roof and front fascia. I've been hearing for a while that this summer Hasbro is going to make a #7 Smokescreen in Solberg's 2003 championship colors, just like Takara's #7 that shipped along side the #8 car that both companies made. That link might be for that car. EDIT: Scratch that, the link is for a Binaltech, not an Alternator. I still won't be suprised if a Alternator 2003 WRX shows up this summer. For $20, I just might get it.
  6. My vote is for RiD Optimus Prime, and especially for RiD Omega Prime (Optimus Prime + Ultra Magnus). Alt Smokescreen can be a little hard to get the legs bent and lined up for car mode.
  7. Am I the only one that had a 1/48 VF-1 fall down and not break something?? My VF-1A Hikaru rolled of my desk with Super armor attached and didn't break anything, aside from a few pieces falling off like the towbar.
  8. Ok, it's official. Silverstreak is out in the US... Alt Silverstreak auction My guess is it'll be next week or weekend before the usual stores start getting them. EDIT: Joel at BBTS now lists Silverstreak as in stock.
  9. My main problem with Van Damm is that he has the emotional range of a plank of wood. Every movie he's in, he sounds like a robot. Granted, in Universal Solider that wasn't a bad thing considering the overacting mess that Dolph Lungren was and what Van Damm's charactor was, but all of his movies are like that.
  10. KB actually has a real sale!? Talk about a miracle.
  11. Well, I think it's now a consenus, that does look like it could be a VB-6 in that shot. I'd really like to know if Yamato has any plans to release any battle pods or Destroids now that they are making Q-Rau's.
  12. Well, if it helps, I use a toothpick and a bottle of Model Master semi-gloss black to touch up my VF-1A Hikaru's head after I scratched it. It worked pretty well but you have to really be careful how much to use.
  13. Ah, the old Harmony Gold/Toynami theory. Also known as "let's screw up the MPC VF-1J so bad that we can make people buy more by saying we fixed the problems".
  14. That's gotta be a typo. Somehow I don't see someone growing nearly a foot at 26.
  15. I second that, I don't have it here. Like Apollo Leader said, considering who owns AN this really isn't a suprise. I am suprised HG couldn't get Robotech on Cartoon Network if they are trying to hype a new series.
  16. Besides, I think 1/100 scale is a little to small for perfect transformation, see Bandpresto and all the problems their valks have. BTW Graham, congratulations on the incoming arrival. EDIT: spelling, I really can't type tonight.
  17. That's exactly what Harmony Gold did two years ago. After a couple of MW related retailers laughed at them (and SpideyJersulem (sp??) at Blasto Toys got a lawyer involved), they basically dropped it and nothing happened except for a few very nasty flame wars between Macrossworld and Robotech.com's forum members.
  18. Is it only the rights to the animation to DYRL that are totally messed up or is it all the international rights, including merchandise rights, that are messed up. I know there's been some legal hang up in regards to bringing out an official Region 1 release of DYRL.
  19. If you plan on doing 1/60 parts, please let me know. I've been trying for a while to pick up a new backpack hinge for my Super VF-1J Hikaru.
  20. Ok, this may have been brought up before, but... Robotech DYRL Super and Strike Superposables Since when does HG have merchandise rights to that show??? EDIT: Bad grammar.
  21. Here we go again guys... Toynami sending out C&D Letters to Yamato Dealers My take on this, same s###, different day. It failed before and it will do so again.
  22. No, this time I bet it's the MPC Alpha's their worried about.
  23. Not this garbage again. Aren't these the same losers that announced not that long ago a superposable VF-1S with a DYRL strike cannon on it?? They can't be stupid enough to try some thing that was a spectacular failure the first time.
  24. I'd bet on the CF VF-1A coming fairly soon and hopefully a VF-1A Kakizaki. Both should be fairly easy, especially since the existing VF-1A sheet could be used (the pilot names and proper decals are on there) and it would be a simple repaint. Anything beyond that, I have no idea.
  25. This movie sounds like it's either going to be really fun, or really bad. I really like the idea, but I am almost afraid of how Hollywood is going to screw this one up.
