  1. It's Orguss, get it! Subs are on the lower end of the HK sub spectrum, especially towards the end of the series, but it's still understandable. It's actually a very well done set, only thing missing are the next episode previews. As for Orguss 02, it still won't make a lick of sense after watching the real series, as it's about as canon as Macross II.
  2. No, that seen was not a hallucination, Physica's wife was a ho.
  3. Flash Back 2012 was 87, so it definately fits within the timeframe.
  4. You've never heard of Mazinger??? -ROCKET PUNCH! -BREAST FIYA! -RUUUST HURRICANE!! -PILDER ON! -MAJIN GO! Kids today!
  5. I'd actually think the chances of Diebuster being released should be pretty good. With Gunbuster coming out next month, hopefully Honeamise will announce Diebuster to follow it up. The original rumor surrounding the recent Gunbuster licensing was that whoever licensed Gunbuster also snagged Diebuster. As of yet, there's no reason to doubt that. Besides, why not release the shiny new OVA to back up the awesome classic.
  6. No complete set yet, just the Vol 1 + box. Though chances are there will be a thinpak box soon minus all the awesome Mari extra's. As for internet, try Rightstuf.com.
  7. Actually, upon investigating various places on the internet, Macross 7 isn't very hated in the anime community at all. Just seems to be a handful of militant minded macross fans.
  8. You are wrong, and everything you say is wrong, regardless of whether it's true for you or not. While the base story elements of Macross are the same, the character desgins & episode layout, etc are the same, there is a huge glarring difference. Macross is a very well executed series, while robotech completely ruins it with awefull dubbing, terrible music, juvenille dialogue, a vast over saturation of exposition & narration, and a gross mangling of the true meaning behind the series. BOMBA!
  9. All Macross (except for II) is exceptionally awesome. II is just kinda cool.
  10. CDJapan has it up for pre-order. www.cdjapan.co.jp
  11. Best Buy, Fry's, Circuit City, internet.
  12. I think the diebuster movie is supposed to, but I'm not 100% on it.
  13. That's not Macross!
  14. U.N. Spacy brass.
  15. ...It's not just DYRL, pretty much any title from that time that hasn't had a re-release is still at that price.
  16. Considering they wrote them all of as dead, I doubt they'd care what anyone on board knew or thought about what the outside world was told. They'd just write it off as Global's problem.
  17. Oh I get it, these transformers are all Junkions!
  18. Speaking of Gunbuster DVD's, did anyone else pre-order the movie set that comes with the Noriko/Nono statue? It's out in a week or so.
  19. Actually, since the official statement from the U.N. Spacy at the time was that all the citizens of South Atalia died, there was no audience outside of the Macross, as it's doubtful they allowed general communications for them outside of the ship. I also don't really thing budget or production value had any real relevance, as the economy aboard the Macross would definately have been a scaled down version of a full economy, making mass profit moot, and it would be the first feature film filmed aboard the ship, so any new product wouled have been welcome.
  20. Except that goes against all conventions of sales. Things which don't sell well get majorly knocked down in price within 9 years Modern R2 releases do tend to average around 40-50 $ U.S., but "most" early R2 releases cleared $70 per disc.
  21. If forced to watch a dub, I'd take Mari & bad SFX + original music over Reba & original SFX + robotech music. Besides, they're the same crappy SFX that were used for the "Robotech remastered."
  22. And that should definately be noted. As bad as the ADV dub is, it's still better than watching Robotech.
  23. No, that's actually standard pricing for Japanese DVD's at the time of its release. And considering its been available for so long, I'd say it was quite popular.
