    For CDJapan, i was refreshing the "macross" section when it popped up... but the instant I saw it, it was already listed as sold out.

    See, I think if it was DYRL version people would assume there would never be a TV version so you would get both crowds. By doing the TV version they are giving hope of a later DYRL version so some people (the Japanese fans) may sit this one out and wait for the DYRL version.
