Please don't judge me for my collection, I realize it has a lot of big holes. Unfortunately I just totalled my car so my collecting is going to slow to a trickle after this month is over. I really wanted to get three shadow MPCs too for that upper left display Oh well, hopefully someone will get the birthday hints I've been giving! I do plan on finishing all deals I've begun though so nobody worry!

Okay folks, here's the results of my efforts of decorating with screenshots....

Let it be known that while generally I think A1 speaks pretty well of my own opinion of Mac7 I'm going to differ from him a bit here. Like I said earlier, the Power Rangers was a hugely popular show with movies and toys and video games but it completely sucked. If Mac7 was popular that has nothing to do with it potentially being any good. Yeah, it was probably aimed at the kids and the enormous buying potential they represent and so it may have been a successful business venture in Japan but that still doesn't make me think it's a good show or even worthy of the Macross name. Now, to differ from A1, i don't think those little kids are gonna grow up to become sissies with anxiety issues. I think they're just little kids and more entertained by bright colors, electrical-guitar piloted mechs with faces, and clowny villains than they are by a plot meant for adult consumption (with emotional depth, strong characters, or a "realistic" science fiction).

When i first heard about Mac7 I went and asked everyone how I can get my hands on it and what they thought of the show. I didn't receive one positive response from about the ten people I knew who had any familiarity with anime (friends, employees at rental places, etc.) Now you may say that haters are the ones who cry the loudest and that this show is really super duper popular, but from my random sample I gotta disagree. This show was hyped up huge, carried a name that probably helped make it successful, but the majority of viewers saw it for what it was... and will never watch it again.

Power Rangers were popular... does that make it a good show?

Mospeada fans angry??? I think Mospeada fans are the ones looking forward to this new RT chronicle the most... what else do we have to look forward to??? Besides, I'm not one of those people who thinks a terrible sequel ruins the original art so it's not like RT can ruin Mospeada for me... even if the characters were dead-on identical.

Screen captures would be fantastic. If someone knows of a website with some Focker DYRL screenshots already on it (that I could lift) that would work too. Thanks -

Hey guys, for some reason my computer just stopped reading my copy of DYRL. I'm trying to get four quality images of Focker looking kick butt so I can use them as the back drop to one of my Focker toy display cases. One of the four pics could be Focker himself, the other three would hopefully be his Strike VF-1S. Any chance some of you have pics you could share with me? I guess my other option is to try to download it from somewhere (which I wouldn't feel bad about doing since I do own a copy of it). Any help is definitely appreciated -

When I modified my version of this toy to have functional knees my original intent was to provide a place to also put the gun. I was going to first make the gun collapsible and then create a door in the leg. Once I got everything apart it became VERY apparent that this could never work. The toy's leg cavity isn't nearly as large as it seems it should be and making the stock gun collapse to that size would take small miracles and a lot of hard work. Maybe if a professional fabricator takes a stab at it....

Personally, I watched the whole thing and I was VERY tempted to quit it after the first disc (like 6 episodes). I hung in there and around episode 1600 (or at least it felt like that many) it started to grow on me. I went from wanting to burn my own eyes out with a hot poker to wanting to punch the people responsible for it in the mouth... which is a big step up from self-mutilation. Then it ended with some cute bonus episodes which helped reduce the puke taste in my own mouth. Still, I've seen the whole thing, once, and I'm sticking to my guns on this one. The hatred for m7 has grown above 50%

Is that something to be proud of? We know about half the people voting (41 of 84?) HATE M7. Does this mean the other half like M7? No. Somethin' like 20 people hate M2 more than M7 but it seems to me a large number of those people have hated both but dislike M2 more than M7. So, seems the numbers work out where the majority hates M7, a large number more are probably neutral, and a few people like it. That being said, different strokes for different folks. Wasn't my cup of tea.-

Dude, A1, did you say that?? I know sissies and gays that don't like Mac7 at all. You were way off. A lot of blanket statements are getting thrown out there. I love all the poop references, from the cheerios to what's in someone's head, but none of it has anything to do with which is worse, Mac7 or Mac2. This thread is veering violently off course. So sad... it had been interesting.

Please use the search function. Consensus is the 1/48 is vastly superior to the 1/55s. You will not be let down. It's unknown as to whether we will see more 1/48s any time soon (if the GBP makes it out I'm guessing we'll at least see more VF-1Js). I believe the guy who runs the Valk Exchange is a member and has provided excellent service to many (including myself before I was even a member here).

I would argue, even if you hated both equally, Mac2 makes you suffer for a lot shorter duration. Personally, Mac2 never made me physically angry so clearly I must hate Mac7 more. I would go on more about this but I think A1 tends to sum up my thoughts in a lot more intimidating way... I don't think people truly get the vehemence of my dislike but you gotta understand his... 'cause you might be the one he'd kill
