    where to buy from?

This is an English speaking board and the Yamato online shop only ships Macross items to Japan. There are a few regular posters here who run shops like Valkyrie Exchange, Lost and Found Toys, Toy-Wave, and Twin Moons Anime. There are a few other stores many others frequent like Hobby Link Japan, Angolz, Overdrive-Inc, and Big Bad Toy Store. Some people probably shop almost exclusively on eBay. Finally, there are at least a couple members who live in Japan and provide the service of hunting down toys for members (for a nominal fee) like member Save and member Samurai Monkey. PS - I highly recommend becoming friendly with Internet search engines. Type in the toy you want and you'll find many places selling it.
  2. Ugh, I hate the idea the Varja are a human built technology. It just seems such a giant leap forward from Mac+. Oh well, maybe I'll warm up to the notion over the duration of the show.
  3. Yep, it's a very small bird in comparison to everything else. No way, wasn't it a collapsed VF-1D in GERWALK that went fuselage-less? We're gonna get to do recreations!
  4. Is it the shoulder parts you're talking about? They have a little part you need to adjust when you go from fighter mode to battroid and back.
  5. I would like Beagle to announce a 1/35 Legioss to follow their releasing each version of the Ride Armor.
  6. I'm sorry, I was letting Godzilla know the FPs were included since he seemed to be asking when they'd be coming out.
  7. You do realize that you could just as easily interpret this as being an effort to show off that Alto is so great that he can keep up with much better technology but the VF-27 is so great that even our super hero Alto needs help beating it?
  8. Ah - thanks for explaining the Gundam flow of events. Yes, in that case then it is differnet from what we've seen in all previous Macross efforts. I'm still sticking with my argument that the VF-27 appears superior but I would definitely stop short of saying it seems so superior the VF-25 can't hold a candle to it.
  9. Maybe Alto is a better pilot?? Everything points to the VF-27 being technologically superior and it has more engines and is animated to move in crazy ways. Rewatch episode 7 when Brera enters the Varja battleship. In the original series it's more of a numbers thing (Zents and humans may not be far apart technologically but there's no question the Zents have the muscle). In Mac+ the Ghost is clearly the most advanced fighter. In Mac7 the Protodevlin are so advanced they're unstoppable. In MacZero the Protoculture relic is so advanced it's unstoppable. In MacF the Varja are so advanced they seem unstoppable... except for the hero mechs... Here we have the VF-27, with a superb advantage, who can stop it? The hero of our anime, Alto. I'm not a huge Gundam fan but from what I understand this isn't all that radically different.
  10. The 27 looks more maneuverable, has a gun that blows up battleships, and can fold... I'd say that looks like a pretty good trump over the VF-25 so far. What's to stop them from putting packs on a VF-27?
  11. MacrossNexus to be reborn as MacrossNeXXXus?
  12. Fastpack = gray gunpod Not Fastpack = not gray gunpod Revoltech I believe comes with fastpacks but they probably felt the blue went better since the YF-21 is primarily shown without the fastpacks in the show.

    Graham's Sig

Graham's sig sounds really familiar, is he just quoting someone? (from one of the threads here).
  14. Please don't let this be screwed up by something fragile... please don't let this be screwed up by something fragile...
  15. SWEET, something I can pick up in Japan and bring back with me (other than the recent Revoltech releases).
  16. This definitely requires a screen capture or an episode or something. I'm pretty sure the blades were never extended in the anime... Yellow stuck to his chest missiles.
  17. Sure there are CAD drawings from Yamato, we all drool and speculate over them every time we hear word of a new release. Yamato just put the CAD to their 1/60 VF-1s (version 1 I believe) on the special sleeve to the 1/48 VF-1S Weathering.
  18. Isn't the old ship just space debris? I guess it's a lot like the ol' Hollywood exploding car syndrome.
  19. This was a pretty decent episode if not a bit heavy-hearted in comparison to the last. This episode's gripe? The editing. The episode felt jumpy and kinda slapped together. I also didn't like the VF-27 having a gun so amazing it can blow up entire battleships... that's a wee bit much for me.
  20. If it's on the Tamashii site does that mean that all of these toys will be getting international distribution? Me likes -
  21. Yep, I noted all that, and what appears to be GBP design info as well. It's too much of a teaser pic though, I'm going to stick with analyzing the prototype stuff.
  22. Let's not get carried away here. Toynami isn't in control of anything. None of us know what Bandai will do. The early indication is that there will be many reissues and new variants but we all get to play a game of wait and see now. A VF-1D seems like a no-brainer to me, I really hope Bandai feels the same way. If the VT and VE are released you can expect some minor differences (heatshield attachment) so it won't completely destroy the value of the old collectibles.
  23. That makes sense, it explains Kate's "no never" response to Jack.
