  1. I don't think I've ever seen a picture of the box.
  2. I literally keep a schedule of upcoming releases.... still, the next most likely release month is June.... more than six months after this December launch. This may be a real slow burn for people who didn't hop on board right away. I don't think there are any licensing issues. Bandai's DX being in a different scale should mean they can do what they want. What Arcadia can do might still be a question, maybe they'll keep plugging, maybe they'll let their rights lapse and move onto other stuff.
  3. If you're transforming your toy from Gerwalk to Battroid and the legs fall off immediately, there's a very good chance that you didn't notice the housing disconnecting when you were transforming the toy last time from battroid to GERWALK (or fighter). Moving the hips (since they're so tight) twists the rod which often pops the housing off. As you connect the hips to their internal connectors, there's often a twist that happens that's just enough to open the housing. Then, the moment you go back the other way, the first thing the legs will do is fall off. If they don't fall off immediately because you're being careful, they will fall off very soon unless your next step is to investigate the housing and close it back up. Honestly, I would rather there be a screw/lock to the swing bar and the included tool just be a plastic flat head screwdriver. Then we could twist it and lock it on and only open it by twisting it free. I'm really surprised there hasn't been word yet about another release in the line. Is Bandai really only going to give us a couple DX VF-1 a year? I miss the crazy release schedule a smaller, Macross dedicated, company can provide. Yamato was giving us one, sometimes TWO, a month!
  4. I was thinking about doing comparisons to KOs as I revisit some of the older toys. If anyone has any semi-official and unofficial stuff and is thinking they need to make room, let me know! It's for a good cause
  5. I haven't opened my reissues yet but I'm fairly certain amiami sold out of the first production run shortly after release so it seems highly unlikely you'll get a first production run if you bought the toy recently.
  6. It's garbage and I do not recommend it. It's made of super cheap plastic with like a silvery sticker on top and the platform the toy goes on is actually warped so it wobbles as it goes around. If you find a quality one, let me know!
  7. I'll but each one and review it... Not sure how many I'll actually keep.
  8. You can probably find the answer for that in here: Everyone check it out, I finally got a video review up! Updated title of the review for those of you trying to sneak this in at the office...
  9. Family photo!
  10. I wish they had started with Hikaru's VF-1J... I've got so many of those toys out right now it would have made comparisons really easy
  11. I thinking it's more likely Arcadia has the tight budget
  12. Thanks! look for item 11, there's a link Edit... Video review will hopefully be up soon and I'm going to pull out some new tricks...
  13. I scanned mine and put it in anymoon.
  14. TWE Battroid/GERWALK gun coming up!
  15. Finally, an ejection seat warning!
  16. No, it's entirely possible they'll show off a test-shot at Wonderfest for a mid-year release. It's been pretty quiet over there so they have to have some plans to get something to market before December 2019 (Macross, Megazone, or otherwise).
  17. 1/72 is a dreadful scale for Robotech, all the other designs in Robotech (outside the Zentraedi) are much smaller than in the Macross universe. A 1/72 Alpha is like 4" tall. The Macross universe could go very far with that scale and a Robotech nut could build out a very handsome Macross Saga collection if he/she augmented with models.
  18. It literally is a mid-level toy. HMR is our low level (we have a pretty high low level) and Bandai DX is the new high level. The Arcadia V2 is also high level costing like $20 less than a DX release (18K vs 16K). So, this is filling that mid-level niche. Trying to get that "Spend a bit more than an HMR and you can have THIS!" vibe going OR "Why spend that much on ONE toy when you can have TWO!"
  19. I got comparison pics in my review as well... In my phone now it I'd post.
  20. At least it would be super easy for someone to make after market straps.
  21. I think they know that at each 10k there's a pretty huge drop off in interest. I sincerely doubt they'll go over 39,999. I think they'll cancel the project before they go that high...
  22. The arms themselves are super stiff... those pegs really seem like they only exist for alignment purposes (since the arms slide back and forth). To elaborate, even completely not connected to those pegs, the arms will still be above the leg line. Also, not trying to say that maybe there isn't a fit issue that should be resolved... just tryin' to say that I don't think there's much reason for concern that it will have a long-term detriment to enjoyment of the toy.
  23. Negative. First pic if first V2 release, second pic is anniversary release with fixed shoulders and flashlight.
  24. Dems some beautiful birds
  25. The robotech operation is basically two guys in a suite also.
