  1. OK, just did a search by seller on EBAY. It's listed on his second page alittle more then half way down. $8.00 shipped to the U.S. says he'll ship worldwide but it might be more. No auction time was listed but it says 38 are available, I think it might be his Ebay store or something. Hope this helps, I'm really happy with my copy. A few of the episodes are ANBU not sure who did the other ones, but I totally know what is going on. Hope you like great price for great product IMHO! Chris
  2. Hey everyone, Sorry I forgot I posted here . OK I'll try to post the link to what his auction looked like but the sellers name is twopieceinarow . In the auction he states that it has perfect subtitles and flawless grammer. He's from San Jose, CA. I'm sure you can do a search for his auctions to see if he is selling more, or even ask if he'll make a copy if he isn't selling them. Chris
  3. I got a 1 disc FAN-sub version. It ROCKS!!!! Picture and sound quality is excellent. the guy must have ripped them to DVD. I have a few single DVD's picture and sound quality is equal if not better than some of those. Can't remember the sellers name but in the description he says the translation is perfect.....I'd say he was pretty accurate! Chris P.S. If anyone is interested I'll see if I can find the sellers name so you can see if he is still selling them.
  4. For those of us that have been waiting more than a year for the Yellow Submarine planes....particularly the FFR-31 Sylphid, like me..........they appear to be delayed AGAIN!!!! According to HLJ. Now they show the date as Jan.! Who thinks that'll happen. Chris
  5. Got mine last week from HLJ. SAL shipping too! It's next on my to do list or maybe second! Chris
  6. Mine is on the way, should recieve it any day now. Chris
  7. SWEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEAT! I LOVE it!!! We need to put your 0A with my SV-51....Head to head baby!!! Chris
  8. Nice work!! It's nice to see some more 51's around!! I agree, I thought the thing was huge too! Chris
  9. The latest Starwars Insider has 1 of the 2 space battle pictures that was posted. Chris
  10. I was checking out prices on Ebay for B5 sets, and I see these Asian collectors edition sets for sale at $9.99!!!!! It says they are identical to the US release accept for some asian characters on the box itself. Has anyone seen these and are they any good? Chris
  11. Thanks for the help guys! Is it better to watch the series first or the movies first? Also, is there much difference between starblazers and Yamoto? Or is it mainly more "suggestive" material ie, languge, adult themes, and death? Thanks Again, Chris
  12. I'm interested in revisiting Yamato on Dvd. I haven't seen the original at all, and haven't seen Starblazers since I was a kid. Where should I start? What DVD/DVD set is best and which ones should I avoid? Macross was a success for me a few years ago after wanting to revisit my childhood memory of Robotech. Mospeada wasn't so great for me though. I just loved and still do the ship designs for Yamato/ the battleships the fighters...particularly the Cosmo Zero and the Cosmo Tiger 2.....did some research to get those names! The research only confused me in regards to the series/guide though. I just need someone to lay it out for me if you have the time! Thanks, Chris
  13. Update: For anyone that cares, there is Good News and Bad News. Good News is that it is still coming! Bad News is that it's pushed back to January 2005. Chris
  14. Amen to that!!! Thanks Keith and Azrael. I was affraid we weren't getting the rest. Chris
  15. So we WILL be getting the rest of the series? That's not speculation? Chris

    Custom SV-51

I bumped this post so people can get a better look at the SV-51 from my other post. Main differences now, clear parts and weapons finished and the panel lining is a little more subdued. Chris
  17. Wow, thanks so much for the compliments. to answer some questions...the SV-51 was done completely in Testors modelmaster Acrylics. The 0S and 0A where mainly done in Tamiya acrylics. I moved over the summer and the local hobby shop has Tamiya paints!!!! Not a huge selection but good enough I'm mainly used to using testors and probably a little more comfortable using them because I know what most of the colors look like. Tamiya still needs alot of trial and error for me to get the right colors. I also use colors straight from the bottle....i know proffessional modelers will mix colors to get the right shade that they are looking for but I generally don't have a problem getting the color I'm looking for.....then again I'm not a proffessional modeler ! Mounting: I just used a wire hanger that I cut to what length I needed. the base is just a standard wood base I got at Wal-Mart. I just used a standard nail and hammer for the hole in the base and then put the wire in the hole...they are about the same size...actually the hole is just alittle bit smaller so it makes for a nice tight fit! Still need to do something with the base though, not sure what...any suggestions? Chris p.s. if anyone wants to see more of the SV-51 I'll bump the old post that had some earlier shots of it when I had a good internet connection. the pictures will be clearer but the model wasn't completed yet.
  18. "You don't have to scream, Micheal, I'm all around you." Chris
  19. Thanks everybody, I'm glad you like! I want to post more pictures but I'm really dissappointed in the quality of them once they are posted due to this horrible dial-up connection I'm on!!! You all really can't see the little details that I did with them...oh well. Thanks again. Chris
  20. I loved the show as well! But I have to admit that seeing it again more recently, that it definately had a cheese factor going. That being said however, the pilot episode is still freaking awesome. I think with some slight modifications it would make a great Movie. Modifications meaning modernisations, but the story really holds water, espesially in todays world climate. Chris
  21. OK, here is my review of the FA-22 Raptor by Gaincorp. Like all Gaincorp models this has fixed landing gear....while I Agree with everyone else that removable gear ala dragon wings would be nice, we all knew it going in! the model itself seems to be pretty acurate to the production FA-22's lines. Not sure if the actual Raptor is like this but the Horizontal stabs edges are "blocky" there is no edge to them. You can see thisin the pictures on the Flyingmule website. Paint scheme is nice but a little too glossy....but this seems to be how they do their models, I have the SU-35 and it is also in a gloss finish. The colors are a little off. The 22, to me, seems to be more of a "metalic grey" base with the darker grey camo, and the model is more of a grey on darker grey finish. However it is still nice looking with the faded effect on the camos edges. The weapons bay as someone else pointed out is pretty cool. Not sure if it is accurate or not but it holds 6 ARAAM missles. The Doors are hinged and open out and then the outer edges fold in to allow ground clearance. To get the out edges to fold in took alittle bit of force on my model so it can be alittle nerve racking if you are affraid you might break it! The push button release, while a bit gimmicky, is actually a nice touch IMO. the button on top is flush with the rest of the Hull with no more "gap" around the button then any othe panel line. Markings seem to be pretty desent, but again I'm not that familiar with the Raptor. The model comes with a crew Ladder and an optional extended tail hook...never seen that on the Raptor but I'm sure it's there....it's just a strange option for an AirForce aircraft model because they are almost never used. The Cockpit is bland with virtually NO detail. I know that no one outside the people that actually work on the thing has seen the actual cockpit, but the whole thing was just painted gloss black...seat and all....with just minimal genaric white instraments painted on the main consol. The only REAL problem I have with MY model is that there is a NASTY seem running the length of the nose, so there is a visible "gap" at the tip of the nose cone. Not sure if this is fixable or not seeing as how the screw holes are capped off. Oh well. Over-all, I'm happy with the model just wish it didn't have that damn seem! Flaps and Rudders are nice and seem to be accurate. I'm tempted to apply a flat coat myself, but that would ruin the "original" model if you catch my drift. Also would have been nice if the side weapons bays could be displayed openend, which it seems was originally planned because the directions on the back of the box shows them open, but instead they are glued shut . If you are a fan of the FA-22 I think you'll like this model....not perfect, but there really isn't alot out there of the Raptor. Chris P.S. I'll post a few pictures later....not sure what you'll be able to see because I'm on dial-up and my picture quality hasn't been comming out so great on the forums.
