Considering I can buy majority of their kits for like 40% everytime Hobby lobby (US chainstore) has a coupon and it costs under 15 dollars I'm not expecting a Tamiya 1:48 f-16 (they are so easy build themselves) or even a Hasegawa. Gotta say though their good-old 1:48 F-15E is still a pretty good kit after you drop in a resin Tub (or at least pop in some eduards color photo etch stickers if you're feeling really lazy) -
I bet 10 bucks near release we'll see a deluge of preorders open up as all the ebay scalpers will drop the POs of the switches they couldn't flip.

nah, I was totally ok with it after I saw that the dock sold separate for 90 bucks, meaning I could probably trade in the dock on Day 1 at Failstop to recoup some of the funds to use towards a game.

This is why I'm so happy there's PC versions so that I can use whatever flight stick I want. Just a shame that the VR is rumored to be PS4 only

I can second this. The PAK line just keeps getting more and more expensive and I don't really see any huge improvements in the line. Considering they are in the $100+ range it makes you wonder if you should just splurge on 1/6 figures instead

Fair Enough. I wasn't really one of the people clamoring for another Macross Zero anyways, I just wanted to point out that the precedent did exist. -

Yeah, Macross has simiarities to those but what makes it macross is the concurrent origin stories of a male pilot, female idol singer, transforming robots and the power of music. so.... don't really see where you're trying to go with that.... I would probably say the reason you don't get recurring antagonists is probably because they got utterly defeated by the power of music ..... Wait... so actually do you agree with me that Macross follows the same formula over its TV series (except Mac 7)..... So do you care to explain Macross zero? Doesn't that sort of set the precedent that the franchise can revisit past characters in the macross universe? They didn't even make any really new mecha they just made precursor versions of the mecha we already loved in SFDM. So... with the existence of Mac Zero how is it unreasonable for fans to hope that maybe someday the franchise can do other side series that fill in other time-gaps in the Macross Universe without necessarily moving the timeline forward? -
Hori Already announced they're making a HOTAS for Ace Combat 7. HOpefully it's not just a rehash of the same saitek X-36 based flightstick they've released a million times already for PS2/3 and XB 360 Thrustmaster also already released a flight-stick for Ps4 but it's a piece of crap that still uses a potentiometer instead of hall-effect sensors. Funny enough it costs as much as the T16000M from the same company that uses the same hall-effect sensors as the Premium Warthog Stick which is the bomb. Best Joysticks imho ;0

Wow, actual marketing? IMpossiburu.... I remember how I stumbled across the WII U at random in a Toys R US when it came out and it was hiding in the corner... so alone.... Really hope the switch is different. Got $300 sitting in my paypal to pay for my Switch Preorder at release

Really? Mac Delta pretty much follows the same formula as SDFM and Mac F 1. Unknown enemies attack 2. Boy saves girl in valk 3. Boy joins military / military organization 4. Random love triangle stuff thrown in 5. Boy grows into a hero character, idols use power of music to end conflict. add to that Having a Jenius descendant as a main character, fighting Zentradi in opening episodes and doing their flight training in VF-1 Exes (for the sake of having VF-1's) and then doing the good old Max and Milia fighting style for Hayate and Mirage? The opening episode of Mac F was like a nerd dream, especially that modern footage of megaroad-1 taking off. Let's not even get into Ranka doing a cover of DYRL, the patron of SMS having a minmay locket or Ozma naming his formations after Fire Bomber songs. New Fans would not have a clue what any of these things meant. -

Super parts are looking nice. I'm still on the fence on whether or not I'll paint most of the parts grey so that the valk looks more armored up.

the pro controller looks interesting but with my hobby budget stretched across Macross, Video games and Warhammer 40k I think I'll have to pass due to the price. I think the only controllers I might end up buying for the switch are replacement joycons tbh

I guess it's just an economies of scale thing. Bandai somehow manages to Tampo a crapload of stuff (sometimes even too much) onto the DX'es with no huge price increase while a smaller indie firm like arcadia has to mark up a 10-yr old toy another 100 bucks to tampo a tiny bit more. Honestly instead of the tampo people should just buy sets of 1/60 decals that are widely available on ebay and whatnot and do a quick future -> decals -> flat-coat (though that's only for peeps that model. pure toy collectors are kinda sol)

Yeah the battroid tabs would help a ton on the Chronos. Fighter and gerwalk are both pretty solid already though save the vertical stabilizers.

I hate the teeny weeny TV pilots. Screw Canon. I recasted some DYRL pilots from the 1A's and will be installing them in my max, hikky and milia whenever that arrives. Gotta paint it up next
