Well had a call with Sony, went on hold, had to point things out to them, went on hold again and finally got some where. A request is being sent to the proper department. I guess they can fix it all from remote. Problem is they do that even look at those type of requests till Friday. Early next week we'll know.

It's Music from SingStar. No it isn't Roy's game but the owner of the said game uses Roy's system. It has something to due with Music Usage Rights. They can only be downloaded on the machine used to purchase them. Here is where the problem is. If you wanted to repurchase them you can't place them in the cart. You get the message "Already purchased see Purchase History to redownload." You can't redownload the content on a different machine. Sony has that machine. No one here intends to repurchase what was already paid for. Later today a call will be made to Sony.

Bay area isn't that far. Sucks it is in February which it is Winter. I'll take a 3 day weekend when some storm hits between here and there.

Replacement System woes Besides having to restall games and all the required updates for them I have to reinstall purchased content. Most of this is easy but I've reached one hurdle. While there is record of purchases I no longer have the exact same PS3. I was sent a replacement unit of the same model. Some content doesn't want to be redownload because it is associated with another system. That system is in SCEA repair joint in Texas.

Got it and now doing system updates.

I was intending to save the update for tomorrow. After some research I decided the best option was to send it in and pay the $150. Most of that money has to spent on shipping. Things will likely be tight by the last week of the month. You're suppose to get either the same exact unit or the same model. Looking at the dates of tracking information. I think they are sending a new one. No one called or emailed me to tell me what the issue was. I think I will ask them after I get it. I took pictures of old unit before sending it in. As proof I didn't tamper with it and to show there no scratches. I don't want Sony to send me a scratched up refurbished one. I lost all saved information so I will have to replay some games and re-download stuff again. My PS3 arrived in town last night but looks like UPS won't moving it till the expected ETA of tomorrow. I work tommorrow.

60 Gig Backwards compatible type. I'm almost positive it is the fan. I didn't special air cooler attached to it. Haven't used can air. I don't see any dust build up. Double checked with a flash light. I did use a vacuum over the vents. Warranty has past but here's the Service catch. Even if your warranty has passed they can decide to refuse service if you tamper with the stickers. The old you must have open it up and did something to it so your on your own excuse.

Every thing is update. Checked so last night. I'm thinking it might be the fan or something. System stays on for about 5 minutes top before getting to hot. I don't hear the fan at all this time. I'll need to research things in the next couple days before contacting the service centers.

God it doesn't end. Read a few forum posts and PS own help pages. Sounds like a send for serving issue. Bad news mine is a few months past warranty. For them to service it I'd have to pay a flat charge of $150 that covers, shipping, repairs or replacement if they can't repair it. Do I even have $150? Do to the economy everyone at work is working less. The money I have left over after bills from my pay check was $100. I have enough money in checking and saving to cover $150 or even a new PS3 but that is suppose to be emergency money. I have new Xmas games and movies. Now I might have to wait two months before I can use them.

Help Needed ASAP During the last 1 hour my PS3 isn't working. I turn it on and get this message that the system is too hot. Here's how I used the system today. 1. Played MSG online for 2 hours straight followed by 1/2 an hour on the web browser. I have used it for long periods before and it has never over heated. 2. Moved the system from under the entertainment cabinet to more easy to reach location with more room for air. I didn't bump or drop the PS3. Planning on taking it to a different location today. 3. After a hour of the system being off popped in the Serenity Blu-Ray two minutes later got a warning that the System was too hot let it rest. Did that for 10 minutes tried a game disc same issue. Waited 30 minutes tried to clear away vents. Turned it on again. Placed in no disc just scrolling around the games and movie clip that are already on it. A couple minute later same thing. Additonal Information: Doesn't feel hot or even warm. PS3 went from an Off position (currently in a cold room) to HOT after a couple of minutes. I think I here regular noises from the machine. I don't hear the fan going in over drive or anything like that. Do I hear the fan? Not sure mine is rarely that loud.

There are reports of problems with the Serenity Blu-Ray being played on the PS3. Lucky me I got my copy in the mail and have a PS3. The following issues have been reported: An extra feature called the Alliance Data Base won't play and the movie will freeze at about the 1:13 minute mark. Haven't watched the movie but I watched the extras. The Alliance Data Base would not play. I followed a solution people posted on other forums. Delete the saved data on your PS3 for the disc. Put it back in and don't update for Blu-Ray live when prompt. Yes you either get to see the data base or Blu-Ray not both. I'll still need to see if it freezes during play.

I bought the Quantum of Solace Game it sucks. Played the Lord of the Ring Conquest demo. Pretty fun too me.

Yes when people Report a Post we read the Post in Question and review posts leading up and following it.

When you play the disc things move pretty fast on the screen. With all the action you're not gonna notice it.
