  1. I don't why I started thinking about this (I blame seeing on my YT feed a random 'cut' of the Space Jockey 12 second scream, which clearly was the moan of the dying SJ and birth scream of the SJ Alien) but I wonder. Why did Director Scott change the SJ from elephant analog to a organic space suit for the humanoid they ultimately went with? Was the reason, possibly, royalizes they might have had to pay to Dark Horse Comics (who clearly went deeper into the elephant man angle in their comics runs of the Alien IP in the 1990's)?

The 3D printed one is gorgeous, but again too small based on Mr March's figures.

How much bigger does it need to be? It still has to be no bigger that a typical Fighter deployed from the platforms available to the UNS & Nescient NUNS in the 2040's...

The Macross pod cast crew just dropped the news..Macross The First is officially shuttered indefinitely. So says Mikimoto San..

Every time Macross rolls out a new series or OVA;)

Is that because of Macross's diminishing interest per fan base or is that a problem that affects manga in general (it certainly seems to be a major problem for comics in the States)?

I liked it - some sections more than others. High points for me were Lucky 13 and Sonnie's Edge

Definitely with the Heavy Metal vibe big time

Lucky 13 +1,000. Yes, the creative minds behind this series arguable have stacks (STACKS) of Heavy Metal magazine somewhere in their homes...

  5. Perhaps this has been discussed elsewhere on MW but I came across this on YouTube. I'm still drooling...

OK, Question. I'm sure its been explained here but i'll ask again: What are those dual dots that are above the nacelle engine cans (feet in G & B mode). are they same thing as the single dots on arms just behind the hand actuators? I always assumed they were sensors or perhaps cameras to which the pilot derived more visual imput… am I wrong?

and like the round thingies (that eventually became both hook points and Vernier thruster ports), why do those items not appear on later VF's (either in media or model kits & toys)?

And its because of things like this that I dont slavishly follow "official canon"

Fictional universes are like comic runs, they go through stages of variable quality. You can collect or ignore any part of it that doesnt suit you.

or calls them 'films' made within a said fictional universe aka 'Macross DYRL' and it's cheap direct-to-video sequel, 'M2:LA' :D

found this on my FB feed this morning. I'll admit... I didn't fully understand the verbiage (I guess the use of the word 'Project' seems to be the cause). But a comment struck me as curious (clearly the poster knows some of the guts that created 2199 & 2202): "Is Yutaka Izubuchi (出淵裕) back in charge? Otherwise no much hope".

Man who got paid million and millions of dollars to play a children's game dies. Top news story, nation in mourning.

China kills it's own citizens to fill organ transplant orders for profit (Third Reich level evil) . It's never a story, and no one talks about it.

When you have a BILLION slaves, you can afford to kill off a few (and nobody blinks)… I think his point is how fair life seems to be... Was his comment harsh and cold? Hell F*cking Yes. Does Kobe's death mean more than, say this https://www.wkyc.com/article/news/local/portage-county/streetsboro-police-investigating-discovery-of-mans-body/95-aa00bce2-b456-4980-9837-866fa4320631 ? Nope, its all equal. That's the problem, that's his point: How fair is it when Kobe's death is far more important than someone else?

MODS, please, lock the thread. We already know that the pilot WILL be blamed for the accident (flying in poor conditions that someone in the Navy would say was UNSAFE) and soon the world will forget...

Do the FASA designs count as the expanded universe?  If so then it isn't even in the top (how many designs did FASA do?)

at least 6 to 8 that I recall (depending on if you are using TOS or TMP stats) at least... I doubt it if anything not directly controlled by paramount/CBS counts (have they done any of the GR-decreed Non-cannon designs like the Saladin-class?)

Hey now, I compared JJ-Trek to terminal radiation poisoning... it's every bit as painful, unpleasant, and incurable as the inoperable Stage 4 brain cancer that is CBS's disgustingly racist and regressive take on Star Trek, but in different ways.

There is, however, an extra-special place in the deepest, darkest, foulest oubliette in the bowels of Hell for the cretins responsible for Star Trek: Into Darkness's butchering Star Trek II: the Wrath of Khan and one of the most powerful and iconic Star Trek scenes.  May they rot there for all eternity, enduring thrice-hourly rectal probings with jumbo pineapples covered in carpet tacks, rock salt, and drain cleaner.

you are forgetting a few choice chemicals: MIL-PRF-83282 used as the lubricant. 90W used as the affixture on the pine apple (or MIL-L-17111 when you don't have a 55gal barrel of 90W available. happens ALL the time when you are on cruise) and P-D-680(?) for the cancer requirements...

I've gone on record that I LIKED Trek 2009. I wish STiD just was done... differently (but yes, it showed that JJ is complete r*tard) and I did like STB... but I don't think any further JJtrek movies will happen. The cast has already moved on...
