  1. The VF-1A Angelbirds and the VF-1A DYRL Kakizaky are two of the most solid built 1/48s. I've got several of each and none are less than perfect. ***NOTE TO SELF: I still need to buy more Angelbirds.****
  2. I love the Camo work done on this valk. Looks fantastic, as always.
  3. Here we go with that weathering effect...yet, again. http://www.yamato-toys.com/dev/release_015/index.html
  4. Wow, this is real kick in the pants to all the 1/48 collectors willing to pay ridiculous amounts of money for a TV 1/48 Max. It's really nice to see how Yamato likes screw over it's fan base. What's next? 1/48 (uber expensive and exclusive) TV Kaki and the a V.2 1/60 TV Kaki with a minimal price tag?
  5. Wow, looking at the battroid pics, you can see how the cockpit area decreases in size through out the evolution of the VF. If you can please take another pic and include the 1/48. I think it should be retconned like the VF-11, per re-specs of SK.
  6. I'm sure someone here has it in their Temp Folder.
  7. Picture???
  8. Serpentor (with blood shot eyes) looks like he's about to give birth to a GIANT brown snake. These are pretty cute, but not really enough for me to collect these.
  9. Amazing work as always MT. Seeing how small the parts are in comparison to that penny makes my head hurt and my eyes strain. I think for your miscellanous 1/200 figs, you could just chuck them out into space and blame the "Fold" system.
  10. Pure AWESOME. Totally reminds me of the COBRA CLAW. COBRA!!!!
  11. Nice review Jenius. Seeing the two side-by-side really sells me on the Toynami version.
  12. The agony of having to wait for such a beautiful VF-11B is seriously killing me.
  13. That VF-1D Trainer BATTROID looks really nice (still, very much dislike the fighter mode). VF-1S Max FIGHTER looks awesome.
  14. I'm with you on this. The only 1/60 V.2 I would buy and are: VF-1S Roy S/S VF-1S Max S/S VF-1D Trainer (hopefully with TV Super Pack) And any other never before released VF variants. Other than the VF-1D, the majority of these would remain in fighter mode. I just can't get into the GERWALK and BATTROID modes of these 1/60 V2s.
  15. Great build so far. Sorry to hear about the undesired result of Testors paint. FYI - the wings supplied in this kit are for a VE-1 and not a VT-1. The tips on the wings should all be the same size. Don't give up.
  16. I like the idea, but couldn't a button be added to the user's name that says "My Collection"? This way collection pics wont be lost with all the posting of new pics, and the user can update periodically or delete pics as needed.
  17. Nick, Awesome find!!! Now if only someone could get this topic pinned that would make it perfect.
  18. Or you can just sand the top a the LED just a bit, then sink it further into the head. Apply clear coat over it and it should look pretty flush and flat. Nice Job.
  19. Most parts are glued onto the valk, IIRC; leg armour, backpack, and a few other parts, that would make the valkyrie non-transformable. Info supplied from my same question I asked him on E-Bay.
  20. I'm with you on this vote.
  21. Value of these figures is really depending on what you want to pay for them. Mostly what I've seen is some sell for as low as $1 up towards $110+. There are six pre-painted figures with stand and framed pictures included: 1. School Girl Minmei (x2 - one green, other blue) 2. Minmei in Polka Dot Dress (x3 - one green, one blue, and another in red) 3. Singing Minmei (x2 - one dark aqua, and the other in DYRL colors) 4. Hikaru in TV Flight Suit 5. Misa in DYRL Uniform (x2 - one with a light colored clip board and the other with a darker clipboard) 6. Misa in Swimsui (x3 - one yellow, one green, and another in red) So in actuallity there are THIRTEEN figures in total, just repaints really. There is also a set on vinyl models that you assemble and paiint yourself. The sculpt on these is actually pretty nice. I really wish Arii would have completed the line of ,IIRC, 12 sculpts which would have included Roy, Claudia and Milia, as well as, Minmei in a chinese dress. THIRTEEN figures circulated and counting. Also, I was browsing through the toy section on MW and saw all the prototypes of the remaining figures to be produced in 1/6. Damn, the prototypes sure are ugly, well except for Claudia.
  22. Just updating this list there are now a total of eleven figures circulated and counting. Also, I was browsing through the toy section on MW and saw all the prototypes of the remaining figures to be produced in 1/6. Damn, the prototypes sure are ugly, well except for Claudia.
  23. Changes to the head only apply to the SUPER VF-1S from 1990 and not the STRIKE VALKYRIE, both are from the Bandai Hi-Metal series, but only the 1990 has several (and very noticable) changes.
  24. No. Definitely NOT a G-Nuts fig. Look into VA's sig.
  25. Thanks for the translation V7. That is a great story. I had always wondered about a certain valkyrie in an old Takatoku catalogue. The valk was a different sculpt altogether and had faint similarities to the old 1/55. Could this be the valkyrie that was made of wood and painted to demonstrate a transforming valkyrie to the Takatoku toy makers? Prototype 1/55 *Well, it sure isn't made from toothpicks and paper.
