  1. Right on. I've got no issues with Toynami but I know some people on this board do. Did he catch a lot of flak from others?
  2. I've got the Robotech ones. Not really poseable. Like Legos on steroids but cool for the price. Edit - they've also got the set of 4 Alpha Super Poseables for $20... that's not too shabby.
  3. I've bought from him before and received my goods in fine condition. Though I'm not surprised that some people have had less than great experience. We're pretty spoiled by Kev, Tam and Neova.
  4. I voted no but wonder if they might re-release stuff in Sept-Nov for the holiday season.
  5. This should probably be made a sticky topic! From a thread posted ~ month ago, found using the search feature.... Granted, it's a Hikaru, but same idea.
  6. ^^^ I've purchased from Valktronics a few times and he's a good guy. He's always sold the MPCs at market price (~ $36.99 for a Ben, $45 for a Max). These listings are obviously errors since he's got other 'Archers for a fair price (and he lists pictures).
  7. Wow... awesome work. Some people are very lucky!
  8. Don't forget that the bookend market wil likely go down since (as already stated) there are 500 of the first set, will be 200 of this set and there will likely be some sort of New Gen set coming out soon. This glut of bookends will cause all of them to even out in price since demand will level out a bit. For example, I'd like a set of bookends but I won't pay more than $300 for them. I'm going to try to get at least one of this set or at the very least one of the New Gen sets. Interesting regarding Yamato and the LV. I agree, they could make a pretty buck by re-releasing them since they're already all purchased (in their eyes) but it could hurt their reputation and affect any future 'limited editions'. The real question will be if they re-release the 1S'...
  9. man, what were the first editions going for? Last I checked, around $350 or so. I imagine with these on the market (and the rumored Next Gen ones coming soon) that this will drive demand for the first edition down. Also the first edition as limited to 500 and this batch is limited to 200 or so.
  10. ^^ you aren't referring to those vending machines that give out 'worn' items are you?
  11. eugimon is correct. The 'velcro' test is not 100% accurate since some people have reported having re-issues with velcro. Though if yours doesn't have velcro, you know for sure it's a re-issue. If it has velcro, it could be either. Look for the scooped out head-rest.

    VF-1J

Looks good. What kind of paint did you use on the missiles?
  13. Heh - ... you even used the same technique on your keyboard!
  14. Thanks for clearing that up McKlown.
  15. So here's my quick hit on the 'flying rocks'.... The Dr. mentioned somewhere about being able to unlock 'anti-gravity' using this technology. Perhaps Sara's singing simply 'awakened' the anti-grav technology. Has anyone discussed the possibility that Minmay might be Sara's child? That would connect a lot of the Macross 'dots'...
  16. Just posted a couple elsewhere. Skull 001's custom Max with some 1/48's I got from Neova.
  17. Fan Subs... I imagine you could get that pose using two of the smallest sizes and one of the largest sizes. Here's some more images with a couple of 1/48s. The 1J Max is using three different rod sizes for his 'pose'
  18. I have to agree with haterist in that your best bet will be to get one of each and mix/match them. I've gotten the 1/60's to pose pretty well with this fashion. With the spares, you can usually figure something out if you're creative (I've got a good 1/48 pose that I should post using 1 stick of each length).

    Macross Twins

wow, nice job on those little figures. What are those suppose to be? Early macross designs? Or a rip off of Macross? From what I understand, BT took a handful of ideas from Macross and started using them as mecha. If memory serves correctly there are a lot of BT designs borrowed from Macross... The Glaug, enemy Battlepods, VF1s, and various destroids come to mind.
  20. Welcome and don't worry, some of us here don't mind Robotech stuff. While the Yamato stuff is clearly of better quality, the MPCs aren't that bad.
  21. I often see 'how much is this worth' or 'did I get a good deal' posts and was wondering if in the B/S/T section it'd be worth having some sort of 'appraisal' thread where MW members could post questions like 'I'm thinking of getting XXXX, how much should I pay' or I just got 'XXXXX' was it a good deal? Obviously lots of time people put stuff up to brag but it might be helpful to gauge what the perceived market value is of before people buy/sell. Apologies if this isn't the correct place to suggest this.
  22. You like the justice league batman? IMHO this batman is many time better Hey, it's been a long time since I actually watched a super hero cartoon! I'll have to grab this one then sometime.
  23. Kind of a stupid question so slap me and call me an idiot.... I would consider myself a Dark Knight fan and enjoy the way Batman's character is represented on Justice League. Does his Animated Series do him justice or is it toned down and 'kiddified'? Basically is he bad-assed and scary to bad guys?
  24. The main drawback to the Land Warrior system, the current one, is that the sucker weighs 80 pounds! Isn't there another gov funded project which will enable soldiers to carry larger weight-loads? I remember seeing some exo-skeleton leg-gizmos which increased a soldiers carrying capacity by quite a lot.
