  1. you got a sale but i won't pay more than $88,88,88 !!!!! thanks for the info. and btw, i got some good news..... i just saved 10% on my car insurance with geico. okay seriously, i still have the non-mounting gunpod issue. and the nail polish trick isn't going to help for this one. since its the pegs are too big or the hole for the peg in the gun grip is too small. any suggestions about that one?
  2. for all those with something lose, whether it be the air intake, the small single missiles for the FP's or or big missiles for the wings or anything else that won't stay shut or on... 2 words...... FUN TAC! try it on those pesky little missiles for the FP's that keep falling out. i tried someones "piece of paper" trick but it doesn't hold well or for too long. and elmers glue is nice but its glue and i dont' like glue plus it smell like shite! i also used some for the large missiles for the wings. they have those two square slots that if you take a breath near them the missiles fall off. the fun-tac's holding it nice. the air intake was driving me nuts, i thought about using tape, but tape usually leaves some funky residue and $130 a pop, i dont' want a stain on my valk. anyhow, give it a whirl, fun tac is pretty cheap and easy to remove. and they sell it in all types of colors so you can match the paint job to a certain degree as well. now my problem, my TV style hands won't stay on my 1/48 VF-1J. the gunpod hand is alright, but its the open hand one that doesn't stay on. the peg is too thin and doesn't provide enough fricition for it to stay in place. basically, i have to have the valk raise his hand in order for it to stay on. i can't use fun-tac because it gonna be too hard to remove if i packed into that tiny hole. any suggestions??? also my gunpod won't stay on either forearm of the 1/48 VF-1J at all. i tried using a different gunpod, but its the same deal. the pegs that hold the gunpod are too big for the tiny little hole in the gunpod grip. i guess i could shave it down but i hoping theres another solution that wouldn't end in horror. any suggestions??? thanks in advance for your hepl fellas.
  3. you see the problems isn't with the valks as much as the other stuff like the 11B 19A and 21. those all have different transformation, not typical of the standard valk. as i said, i got the YF 21, opened the box and preceed to transform without the instructions(instruction are for kids). so i got 90% into battroid mode and was like fock this shite. and started going backwards to fighter. only problem was i didn't know exactly how to go back and i certainly couldn't tell if i was doing it right. so like a kid, i busted out the instruction book which provided no help what so ever! i checked for pic but every website has the same damn pics! 1 in fighter, 1 in gerwalk, 1 in plane with no multiple angle shots of any of them. now i have it sitting on my shelf but i have no idea if i actually transformed it correctly.
  4. really? and what world are you living in? if you click the elbow or twist the fore arm the gunpod falls out of its hand 99.99% of the time. the MPC hands are better than yamato's 1/48 hands.....hands down!(bad joke ) i like the TV style hands myslef though they don't stay on all that well. <_< and the gunpod doesn't mount underneath in fighter mode either. <_< i really like yamato but can't that make one single toy without a QC issue?
  5. to those hating the $80 price tag, i got 3 words for ya.... "clearance at gamestop". its a USA release, so sales and discounts are to be expected, without any ridiculous shipping fees. i'll probably get the one to check the goods and get the rest on sale cause there no way i'm paying retail for an MPC again. i still got my RH's MPC sitting in my closet cause it doesn't deserved to be displayed. lets hope the same thign doesn't happen to this alpha. on a side note, the thing that bothers me most about these pics is theres no way to tell how big/small it is. if anything, they should take a pic of it next to something like a can of soda.
  6. forget the damn website.... how about some instructions in english yamato? i just got a yf-21FP and it took me 2 hours to transform that thing.
  7. check out toy-wave hes got them up on pre-order for $150 each....way better than that other price plus shipping from HLJ. he also got the VF-1J armor only for $30!!! anyhow, i bought from ken(toyman) and all my stuff arrived in tip-top condition. also if you know anyone that signed up for his yearly membership plan you can get an additional 10% off the subtotal of your order and another 5% for pre-orders.....not bad....not bad at all. thats 15% off, which is $255 not including shipping, so you could get both for $300 shipped and thats a deal and a half my friend. just another option.
  8. mad 1/60 haters out there huh? well me, i like the 1/60's and its the only scale i got every valk in...yes the QC could be better. and BTW, wheres that 1/60 low-viz yamato!!! and while the 1/48's are nice, its too expensive for me as well as others to collect them all. and with no diecast content, they're just plain cheap IMHO. you have to get the FP's(another $50-$60) to beef them up. also, a complete collection of 1/48's would cost well over $1000. i'm sure some of you got deep pockets, but thats too deep for me. everyones got a good point about 1/72 scale but how small would the valk be then? and will yamato be able to make it transformable in that scale? without QC issues? i doubt it. <_< i say they keep making the scales they're making, that way people can buy what they can afford.
  9. say word! not much of a sale now is it? toy-wave got them for $150 each.
  10. more enemy mecha. i don't care what it is as so long is not RDF stuff. don't get me wrong, destroids would be cool but my valks are getting lonely.
  11. hey dudes, sorry if this is in the wrong section but.... whats the name of optimus's right hand man? he was red white and blue and also had a trailer.....does anyone know his name? thanks for your help in advance!
  12. Star Wars Lego Millenium Falcon every SW lego minifig. 1/48 low-viz, its my favorite. all i have is SW lego and macross, everything else just doesn't do it for me.

    Q-rau

as many have said, i'll wait for a review. hopefully the legs/hips/knees will be nice and tight, otherwise i'm gonna have to pass. i can't justify spending $120+ for a toy that can't even stand on its own.
  14. well i'm surprised to see yamato offered it with and w/o the 1J. but.......... $50 is kind of steep for just the GBP, considering the 1/48 FP's cost less and its twice the size, with more playability. whatever the case may be, i'll be buying it at some point or another.
  15. i thought about it.... but what would you say, if you went over your friends house and saw rubber gloves lying around? i could only imagine the homophobic responses that would follow for years to come.
  16. i considered doing it but the mark up on toys is so small(15%-25% if you're lucky), you have to move alot of inventory if you wanna see some profits. i've called people here in the states as well as making contacts in japan and china, and as Mechamaniac said, its just not worth it. i offered to buy in casepacks and still the discount is minimal if any, from vendors here in the states any way. i also tried to make the same offers to some folks i met overseas and it was the same deal. it cost less, but overall the same, once the middleman takes his cut(inevidible) and then pay for shipping costs to the states you'll be paying $110-$120 or so for a valk, depending on what the shipping rates are at the time. so that being said, even if you sold 12, 1/48's for $150 each(that nobody would buy at that price), i'd be lucky to get a free 1/48 for myself. so is it really worth it to try and pretend to start a business so you can get 1 free valk? i don't think so... i've arranged some trading which is alot better and easier since each pays for shipping, and both traders could've gotten deals and not have to spend some ridiculous amount of money. i'm trading some lego sets for some 1/48's and other assorted madness. my buddy is into lego, and i got the hook ups on lego, in turn, hes got the hook ups on yammies. we both agreed not to make a profit off one another and therefore, i'm not paying inflated prices nor is he. whats the point? if he jacks up the price, i'll jack up the price and we both end up paying the same amount in the end. as long as you can meet someone who isn't a completely selfish a-hole, trading is cool.
  17. hey CID! i can't believe you posted!!! i've been going into lurking mode myself. i've decided this site creates unnecessary drama in my life that i don't need....now i know exactly why you stayed lurking for so long. anyway, nice collection man! i'm sure we'll chat through PM's if anything. peace out, haterist
  18. try anything with acetone this is what is typically used to debond crazy glue.
  19. perhaps there is no way yamato can offer it seperately. as with the other valks they've released, maybe they changed the design a bit on the 1J. if yamato were to offer it seperately, which one of the valks is it going on? the VE or VT? cause you know they didn't plan ahead and make it so all the valks would be compatible with the GBP armor. same reason why they haven't come out with a FP kit for the 1/60's. as much as i'd like one.....they aren't going to make different version, so we can have FP on hikaru, max, CF, etc. it just isn't cost effective nor would anyone be happy IMHO. if they released it seperately and it only fit on 1 of the 11 valks, we'd have 10 threads going, on how yamato screwed us cause they didn't make them for each individual valk. this tends to be the standard practice here.... bitch for something to be made. bitch when you hear something is being done about it. then bitch about the price, and some more bitchin, after you get it. <_< regardless, i'm excited about the GBP, even if its bundled with the 1J. i have 2 1J's already....it sucks but life ain't fair.
  20. oh yeah! i gots me some extra hands! the sp alpha hands aren't that bad for what they are. as far as size goes, check out the pic in the toy review setion. the articulated hands and sp hands are almost identical in size. besides, the arti. hands aren't the right size to begin with. they're just cool cause the fold into the forearms. nice pic though!
  21. sorry to hear about your problems kanata...but what can you do? friggin crack! you did the right thing and you should stay away from this girl forever. my friends ex-girl was into that crap and sure enough all her friends disappeared since everyones stuff would turn up missing, whenever she came over to any of our houses. why didn't you kick her out of the house? is it her place? if not, give her the boot! anyway dawgs, hope to see you back on the boards.
  22. point taken. i just don't like that tisinc character is all.
  23. not to be a wise arse but, thats one of the many reasons why tisinc is on the blacklist fellas. the little metal ring isn't that hard to come by. look around the house for some cheap keychains or something with a dinky chain on it and pull it off that. the toe-hook on the other hand.....you can try shooting tisinc an email but i highly doubt he'll hook you up....i'd be surprised if he if replies to your email. tisinc = rotten service. anyhow, nice purchase! i'm looking to get my second one soon.
  24. nah man, nothing you can do? the only thing i can think of to do is, to hit it with a thin layer of satin finish clear coat spray or something of that nature. i was thinking of doing this but i'm not trying to spray anything on a toy i paid a bunch of money for. so, i ended up just rubbing off the paint on the thigh/knee and try my best not to touch the other painted areas....it kind of sucks but life is give and take. i'd try asking some of the dudes in the "models" forum. i'm sure they'll have more/other helpful suggestions for you. take care
