you're absolutely right, thats why its called science FICTION hence making the science involved false, fake, untrue, etc. science is not the keyword here, its FICTION. so that being said, what "technical accuracy" are you talking about? if you're talking about a real space shuttle, with real astronauts, with real science and facts that have been recorded and documented over all the missions into space, thats fine, i can live with that. if you mean the FICTIONAL technical mumbo-jumbo made up by one gene rodenberry because he joined startfleet academy and battle the klingons therefore he technically knows what hes talking about because he himself broke the light speed barrier, made first contact and discovered the secrets to space travel and he learned all this technically accurate information from the vulcans themselves....stop kidding yourself. *takes a breath* theres absolutely nothing technical about science fiction...its fiction, so you can basically make it up crap as you go along. wheres the science in that exactly? -
no matter how you slice it, you have to remove the gunstrap and/or rings when you TF into fighter mode, so i still don't get how this would work? don't the metal rings just get in the way? and where the heck would you tuck the "neck piece" that comes with the FP kit? and what about the valks with the TV hands? and extra missiles? no matter what you do, you'll still be left with a few extras that you can't "store" within the valk. its unfortunate but..... thats what ziploc bags are for. i got all my spare/extra parts individually bagged and labeled by so i know what belongs to who. it makes keeping track of everything a lot easier and makes it a breeze if i have to track down a missing piece. i guess i could keep everything in the original boxes but i create additional wear and tear on my boxes each time i wanted a piece. ZIPLOC RULES!

if you have more than one 1/48, why don't you just leave a couple of gunpods with the gun strap on and some with the gun strap off? unless you're trying to display all of them in battroid mode but i don't see the point in that? IMO, you gotta have atleast one in each mode to fully enjoy them cause having them all in one mode is kind of boring, no?

i can't believe people are arguing over physics and space, who gives a crap? none of anything thats on TV makes any sense....ITS CALLED A STORY CREATED BY SOMEONES IMAGINATION. therefore, there is no way to justify your arguments here or ever. please stop as its sad AND annoying. go talk to gene rodenberry or george lucas or something cause no one here gives a crap about what is, what isn't, what could be, or what shouldn't be, its completely retarded to argue about a fictional story with fictional guidelines. -
yo ain't lyin'! U-G-L-Y you ain't got no alibi.... thems the ugliest valks i've seen and i now i know why so many macross fans fled when this show came out.

yes it is but it sure does have other weapons than just some bombs...though in the movie, you only see it for a few seconds doing a bombing run trying to find the MF but still..... and stop with the thats a fighter, that isn't, who friggin cares? none of this crap actually exists so get over it folks. if it can fly in space, it qualifies. if it can't go into space, then it doesn't....that should simplify all this BS of what is and is not. -

the b-wing is shiznit! its slow as hell but what it lacks in speed, i makes up in fire power. and i think its one of the most original designs when it comes to starships. -

Actually, the nose of an X-wing slopes downward, so you have great forward visiblity. The pilot sits high enough that the control panel doesn't really get in the way. As for the TIE fighter, it also has upwards visiblity. But then again, looking straight up doesn't help when there's somebody on your six... My Fav fighters! Most of the Freespace designs (can't remember all the names) X-Wing B-Wing Tie Interceptor Missile Boat Some Starlancer designs (again, memory flunks on me) I think that's about it... actually most ships(especially one man'ed starfighters) don't have rear visiability. if they're lucky, they'll have some sensors to detect the enemy when it has a lock on you. the x-wing is fine, the tie-fighter on the other hand is way fast, but you can't see anything 2 to 4 o'clock nor 8 to 10. it sucks balls to be flying one of these in battle, hence the creation of the tie-interceptor. -

the x-wing is the freshest crap out, hands down. with the b-wing in close 2nd. after that, i'd say buck rogers ship(don't know what its called) but i always thought it was cool. -
i'm breaking down and buying one cause i'm a retard. the valk paint scheme is ugly and there seems to be more than the average QC issues with this particular valk. if for whatever reason its a total piece of crap, you'll see it listed on ebay. i really want a brownie but if yamato is going to let crap get worse, whats the point? i might as well purchase a bunch of cheap VF-1A maxs and paint them up. hopefully i'll get a nice one otherwise, by yamato purchases will drop....atleast for the VFs.
-
well i'm glad i don't put all the stickers on my valks. i only put the skulls/kites on and theres enough on 1 sheet of the FP kit for 5 valks. i'll break down and get the takatoys stickers for the M&M's.
-
well that just completely sucks the big one! you'd figure the legs are the most likely part to get scratched while TFing to any mode...WTF!!!!! does the TV arm armor hold the gunpod atleast? i know with the 1J hikaru, the TV FP's the slot for the gun doesn't hold crap. the gunpod falls off if you breathe by it. someone, anyone, say something nice about the max! i was going pick these up(against my better judgement and the ugly ass color) now i'm split down the middle.

SAY WORD! Neova(anthony) is my newest bestest friend in the whole wide world. yo BIG tony! put me down for the 1S heatshield too please.
-
quick question dood, is the blue painted on the max or is the plastic actually blue? and the same question with the white?
-
get a yamato 1/48, you wont regret it. if its that expensive to get macross stuff over there, don't waste your time with bandai's, toynami(mpc) or any of that BS. 1/48s are the way to go or atelast a 1/60 buy yamato.

wow i didn't even think of working exterior and interior lights...that would be too cool. i think built in such a large scale, it would actually be pretty strong and durable...none of that snapping backpack hinge BS. also realize this would be strictly a display piece, no running around the house pretending your part of the RDF or anything like that. also, by making it such a large scale making moving/working parts and would be far easier than trying to squeeze those details into a 1/48 valk. think of how strong a hinge would be if it were twice as thick? and if the FP were twice the size, it would be mad easy to build a fully functional, shooting FP kit. i mean, i'm considering doing it now with the 1/48 FP kit and i think its possible? i'm not sure how i'd make the mini-missiles fire, but i know how to make it so that the missiles eject. and i know for sure i could easily make firing rockets for the arm armor, there lots of space in there. maybe yamato is reading some of this or maybe they had something like this in mind form the get go. who knows? all i know is if they made one with just the features people mentioned above, i would definitely consider selling off one of my spare kidneys to get one. BTW, i'm no fanboy, i just like to dream.
-
alright i guess i'm not alone! i'm thinking lots of detail, and definitely a full articulated pilot for sure. the articulation on the valk itself would be off the hook too, i'm talking individual finger articualtion with knukles and all that! it doesn't stop there folks, i'm talking a FP kit so that it fires mini-missiles, the arm rockets shoot out , the strike cannon fires as well as the gunpod . armor can be stripped down completely, even more so that the current FP's. i could go on and on. think of it, a large custom acrylic display case that can fit the valk in all modes, certificate of authenticity, as well as a engraved plate with the number(like 123 out of 500) and specs of the valk....model, size, armament, etc. we're talking every single bell and whistle you can think of....outside of the "light-up" head of course. anyhoo, i just thought it would be a fun topic. and $500 is about right.

i was thinking back to the good old days of gi-joes and such and remembered the sky-striker, atleast i think its called that? so wouldn't be like the bomb, if a certain company(yamato) released a perfect transformation valk in that very scale! i don't remember what scale was, but i'm sure someone here had one of these when they were a kid. now before everyone busts out there flame-throwers on me about yamato sticking to a scale...i'm thinking they could do a very limited numbered release and sell them for GRIP! i have no idea what it would cost, or the details of toy production but would anyone be willing to buy it? i know this is all just pipe dreams but i know i'd save my pennies to buy something like that.

the steiners were definitely one of my fav. tag teams back in the day. my favorite dude lately is chris(i can't spell his last name) he does this move called the crippler cross-face and that crap looks like it hurts for real. i used to be a goldberg fan from the WCW days....what ever happened to him? you know what they really need to bring back is.... G.L.O.W. -
has anyone told you they hate you? cause i HATE YOU! add about $60 to every 1/48 and that what i paid. and add another $30 on the FPs. living in america sucks!
-

After their disasterous breaking up (again) after their last apperance on WWE. I doubt they'll ever come back INTO the squared circle. Isn't Hall and Nash in another league? What ever happend to Hogan? Aren't Jeff Jared, Sting, Steiners, etc. all in another league? Any news on former Smackdown GM Heyman? i don't know too much about the WWE but before they took over WCW that was my shiznit! who knows what happen to those dudes, but i'd like to see them back in the ring again.....big popa pump is your hook up!
