    While amusing, those quotes are from the first F&F movie. Lin appears to have directed 3, 4 and 6. Tokyo Drift had some great drift sequences, but terrible, terrible acting. I haven't seen the others (that's when I stopped caring about fast cars). I have low expectations. But it will probably still be better than most of the original movies.

    Why? 99% of people don't give a hoot how functional the design is or why it was changed. I showed the new design to 5 people at work yesterday, 3 of which are big enough SW fans to hate the prequels, and only 2 of them picked up that the X-wing was different. And none of them cared about the changes. People want to see new things. They don't want the same stuff reused time and time again and it's a bit of a wank to expect every artistic decision to be backed up with a logical reason why that change was made. I'm an electrician by trade. Do you think that I get upset because I have NEVER seen a single movie portray the way electricity works correctly? No. I sit back and enjoy the ride even though that crap is so wrong and a 5 minute conversation with anyone with an electrical background would tell any director/producer why what they're doing is wrong. It's entertainment. Let it entertain you.

    Anyone who played the old TIE fighter PC game (and related series) will know that the TIEs not having shields or life support systems or hyper drives enabled them to keep their mass down which meant that they could fly circles around X-wings. They had great maneuverability where as the X-wings were tanks. But anyway, people hating on the new x-wing for its artistic license over real-world physics, while at the same time forgiving the old x-wing for the exact same thing for no valid reason is HIGHLY amusing. Hypocritical, even.

    So I got myself a medium bodied acrylic solvent so as to glue the yeti stand bits together but how is the best way to approach this without making a mess and ruining them? I'm scared

    That's still expensive for a stand that looks like ass. Glad I got the YetiStands instead
