  1. The Star Wars issues are better than the Vader ones so far, and has a ton of Vader anyway. They are pretty boss. I read through 1-3 last night. Very grown-up feel with really natural dialogue that feels like the films. The situations don't feel too fantastic to believe inside the scope of the films either, if that makes sense. The art is great too.
  2. I think everybody should have one, as they have some cool features and a nice presence. And their are some color schemes we will probably never see again. I like my Camo low Viz quite a bit, but if I had to pick investing money into a line, the 1/60 is a lot more satisfactory in terms of finish, proportion, and looks. I can see it appealing to folks who like to customize, as there is more room for detail, but once you see the flaws in the 1/48, they tend to stick out in your mind in my opinion. I think fighter or GERWALK is their best mode. I am also not one to think bigger is better in terms of toys. I think if you can get a nice 1/60 for $160-200 bucks I wouldn't pay $300 for a 1/48. That's like 2 for 1. haha. You could get one of the more rare 1/60's for that. I think $150-200 is a fair price for any 1/48 on terms of what you get, though the rare ones will go for more for somebody who loves 1/48.
  3. Sweet car man! Too bad it doesn't transform
  4. I do it once and awhile because I like my local comic store. It's a hole in the wall and the owner is great. Idk - people spend more than that on a cup of coffee and you're going to pee that out in about 20 min. And I've been buying the new Sandman issues off the rack because they are just pieces of art. But I usually download runs and buy TPB's that I really like. Anyway, the Vader story is solid so far.
  5. It is a silly price, but I think this is going to be one of those perfect storm situations where odd situations + supply and demand will create a true collectible. Plus, a lot of people who are opening theirs are covering them in repro stickers. Which will make a clean version even harder to find. No telling how much this will be worth in 5 years.
  6. It looks cool! You should review it for sure.
  7. No like, are their other variant types? Idk too much about orguss to be honest.
  8. Thanks guys! It's swooping down on yah
  9. I'd struggle to compare Interstellar with Macross. I don't think Macross says "Love conquers all" so much as "80's pop idols are wroth more than an entire fleet when kicking the crap out of green men."
  10. btw NY has exhaust. $135 before shipping. https://www.nippon-yasan.com/figures-transformers/9081-transformers-masterpiece-mp23-exhaust.html
  11. Great stuff guys. Finally got a decent shot of my VF-0D http://i.imgur.com/DuXawqZ.jpg
  12. Yeah I didn't start collecting until 3 or so years ago, so it wasn't a revelation to me.
  13. It's so odd they didn't go with a more popular mold.
  14. 6. Not in a rush to buy every 3rd party product that flies on to the shelf and perfectly happy to wait for an official one - IE patient people haha. The few 3rd party pieces I've gotten and seen just don't satisfy me like the real deal. They are really good in some cases, but always something irks me like the plastic quality, the finish, or lack of diverse materials used. QA issues. Obviously official release have QA issues but that's neither here nor there. Also, I don't think 3rd party toys really hold value. They have value when they ultimately sale out as the runs are always small and people want more, but once the official version comes out it's a fire sale and they drop. Obviously some buyers don't care about value. Whatever. I will say that Apol is really close to having me pull the trigger, even though I do think Takara can do a better job in both modes eventually. From what I've read 04 was a rush job. Ultimately this will be a great place holder, but it's if you see collecting as a short term pokemon grab-em-all, or you're in it for the long hall and you're building a gallery that you're really satisfied with.
