For real. I bought the Angel Bird solely because of how bad-ass the head looked. I just opened mine and saw that the head was just white. God damn it, I don't like to put stickers on my valks, but I'm going to have to put those on, and I know I won't get them perfectly symmetrical!

I've seen a crap-ton of Macross line art, but I'd never come across this until today. I figured it'd be worth posting here. (I didn't see a dedicated line art thread.)

Anyone know why it's hard as f*ck to buy new GI Joes for retail online? If I want new Legos or Valkyries or video games or DVDs, I just buy them online for retail price, no markup, no availability issues, no problems. But if I want some new Joes, I have to pay like 150% retail or more at specialty stores, because no major retail websites (Amazon, Target.com, Walmart.com, Toysrus.com) sell them. Hell, even CVS pharmacy sells these guys for $12 each. For the first time since the 90's Hasbro makes some Joes that don't look like sh*t, but I can't seem to get them online unless I want to get gouged.

Shaorin, I was one of those kids who loved Japanese mecha toys as well as GI Joes! Loving transforming robots didn't take away at all from my love of action figures. However, I'm with you on the Defiant. I didn't see how a space shuttle had anything to do with GI Joe. It always seemed big and boring to me.

Treyarch listened to all the complaints people had about MW2 when making Black Ops, and after removing the offending aspects from their game, there was nothing left. Want to make an explosives class? Too bad, explosives were nerfed, don't get replaced by scavenger, and there is no perk to increase their power. Want to make a knifing class? Too bad, there is no tactical knife or commando. Want to snipe? Too bad, there is no quick-scoping or other way to use a sniper close range, no quick way to aim because sleight-of-hand doesn't apply to snipers, and the guns suck. Want to just run around with pistols or shotguns? Those guns suck too and there is no dual-weilding of shotguns and no auto-pistols. Treyarch told everyone playing MW2 that they were playing wrong and made a game where only assault rifles or submachine guns are worth using.

I agree with what you say about the buddy system. It takes so long to kill someone that it's most likely that your target's teammate will come rescue him before you can finish him. Another big complaint I have is that skill is less rewarded in Reach. In Halo 3, it took 4 BR headshots to kill an opponent, or 8 body shots. Now, it takes 5 headshots or 7 body shots. This makes a sloppy shooter much more likely to kill a skilled opponent. Grenade spam seems to be the best way to kill someone rather than well-placed shots -- grenades kill way more quickly than guns, almost so much that guns should be a last resort in Reach. And another thing. Where the hell are the vehicles? I've played about 60 online games so far and haven't seen a single Warthog.

I'm talking about lag advantage. You can have quick matchmaking and smooth graphics but still be shooting at a guy who isn't actually there. I'm the type of player who knows exactly how many body/head shots it takes to kill an enemy and counts shots in game. In Reach it takes 7 BR shots anywhere in the body to kill. I've shot enemies upwards of 13 times and haven't killed them. In the same games I've been killed by very few shots. Later, in other games, I can kill people easily with 5 shots (headshots drop an enemy in 5 shots) and nobody seems to be able to kill me. So there's definitely a huge advantage in the game for certain players, and the most likely culprit is latency (lag). It's not always enough for you to see people warping around, but it's always enough to give someone an advantage. This exists in all online FPS's of course, but it's mitigated better in all the other games I've played.

I played the matchmaking today and it was horrible. Lag advantage is way too ridiculous. In some games I can't be touched and destroy everyone, and in the other games I can't do anything but die. There is no in between. It's not even fun.
