  1. I like the Orguss's robot mode but the other modes are very silly and feel tacked on especially for a robot that can fly all the time thanks to loli power.
  2. Why would you want a 1/60 scale Orguss? It's a lot smaller than a Valkyrie and would be around six inches tall at that scale.
  3. I know exactly why I'm gonna get this toy.
  4. MACROSS THE RIDE WAS AN INSIDE JOB!
  5. You guys have a terrible clown fixation here. You see clowns everyday every night everywhere.
  6. At least a high end VF-0D would be a really impressive piece. Try getting something from other boutique manufacturers like Volks and you end up paying 16,000 yen for something like this http://collectiondx.com/toy_review/2010/compatible_kaiser
  7. Experten is not the same sculptor as the SHE guy. He also does things with 3D CAD modeling and not hand sculpting like the old SHE kits.
  8. http://experten.cocolog-nifty.com/blog/2014/01/va-3m-vfx-a357.html http://experten.cocolog-nifty.com/blog/2014/01/va-3c-5ffb.html He's got the Dynamite 7, Plus, and VF-X2 versions
  9. You're not noticing the dedicated launch rail right under the pivot point. The VF-0D carries missiles in four places on each wing.
  10. https://twitter.com/dannychoo/status/427059629638815744/photo/1 http://www.dannychoo.com/id/post/27139/Ulasan+Printer+3D.html Like seriously, it cost 16,000,000 yen to make this injection steel mold for Danny Choo's MiraiFrame project. There has yet to be a real revolution in making this process significantly cheaper.
  11. So many people promised and pledged they would support Destroids in order to get more down the line (´-`)
  12. Not enough to love them for 9,800 yen a piece ┐('~`;)┌
  13. But we can't even get people to buy Destroids...
  14. To be fair, that thing is a Tamashii Web Exclusive item that costs 12,600 yen (almost $130 dollars) and is sized for a six-inch action figure. Do you think people would buy a diorama set for a much larger Valkyrie toy if it cost more than the toy it's made to go with?
  15. 3D Printers do not yet give you the same level of quality as injection molded plastic. Cutting the steel molds for that plastic costs a lot of money up front especially if you want to have the molds create a quality cast and hold up over time. If you're not making thousands and thousands of units, that cost has to be sunk somewhere. And even with 3D modeling there is still a lot of refinement that goes into making a figure work in real life. Plastic tolerances and other parts of the manufacturing process mean that what you design on screen may not work out in real life thus requiring lots of revisions even when you've spent money on a test sample from the factory. It make take a dozen attempts to get everything right. Let's not forget the fact that these toys are assembled by human hands and I get the feeling those human hands want to earn more for their labor.
  16. Having them find more Zentradi and fight more Zentradi seems dull to me honestly. And trying to expand upon all the ridiculous concepts they had to hand wave away only gets people in more trouble.
  17. My problem with this idea is that it neglects the fact that even the original series didn't exist in a vacuum. It was one of dozens of shows of its type and one whose success and notoriety came from the elements a lot of the western (i.e. Robotech derived) fan base seem less interested on emphasizing. The original series did not live and die by how much of a "war drama" is was, and to be honest for the most part it's a pretty light affair as far as war dramas go. In my opinion there were many shows that preceded and succeeded Macross that handles a lot of those elements much better Not that it excuses any flaws of follows up, but the way people regard the original series have made it irreproachable for criticism and has shunted a lot of negativity on the later installments. This is in the face of how increasingly minor SDF Macross has become in the grand scheme of the franchise. At the time at which Macross 7 came out, there was very little franchise for it to "make a joke" of and I believe it's the kind of sequel that treats its predecessor with the right kind of loving respect. Now pretending a mediocre show like Mospeada is a Macross sequel? That's the real joke. And here's my meager attempt to stay on topic I just want to remind everyone... SEVEN DAYS...
  18. I just got my X-Transbots Stax and while the design is quite good the plastic quality is definitely lacking. Expect a full review in the coming weeks.
  19. http://twitpic.com/dsxlep how can say no to these two wonderful people?
  20. I like the two pilots using a pry bar to get Docker out. I hope that's a standard issue UN Spacy pipe.
  21. These guys showed up for Shin's training scene and then split the rest of the show. Oddly enough they are on the official Macross Zero website under "VF-0D Normal Type"
