  1. Or just leave it alone since putting more missiles on it would look stupid and not allow it to transform.
  2. Promo artwork for ACE 3.
  3. I've heard rumors that Big West bought the merchandising rights to Southern Cross. Southern Cross is about on the level of popularity as some of the other lesser known transforming robot shows from the 80's like Dorvack and Galvion so there hasn't been much of a push for anything outside of the DVD set from Pioneer. WTF is up with that photoshopped Auroran? It only has two missile launchers.
  4. I wish I had seen this before I risked life and limb playing this awful game haha. There is one minor difference in that in space it's a Strike VF-1A. I did get a shot of the Valhalla III at least.
  5. Hey Mr March, I'm not sure if you are eager to add another entry to the Macross VF-X listing but the VF-1X in that game is identical to Hikaru's VF-1A with and without the FAST packs.
  6. Well, the immediate effect of Seifriet destroying the Protozor flowers is that the Zor no longer have a supply of food. Losing Des might affect their leadership. Destroying the people of Gloire is a possibility for the Zor as they have been effectively abandoned by the home planet of Liberte. It basically ends with the specter of death or starvation for the parties involved.
  7. The romanji for the katakan is RIGAADO. So it should really be Reguld. Regult is a mistake.
  8. but wait there's more Onslaught looks a lot less impressive and what's up with King Poseidon? Is he really popular enough to warrant a re-issue?
  9. Powerglide looks pretty bad, even barring the crappy photograph.
  10. It doesn't matter so much how you spell Britai's name. What matters is whether or not you think he became a bucket headed freak who died like a chump.
  11. Why does Powerglide have Hot House's color scheme?
  12. Except not. Macross 7 had really cheap animation so it could be have messed up the scaling and VFX-1, VFX-2, and M3 have always been a part of the story. It's not like they're trying to include the PC Engine games or Scramble Valkyrie.
  13. That thin part doesn't want to move at all. edit: Never mind. It finally moved. Christ that was ridiculously stubborn.
  14. I was able to get it right, thank you. I guess I'm just used to the 1/48 VF-1's hinge.
  15. Ok, so it's supposed to be almost perpendicular to the body. And the other hinge doesn't move at all, right?
  16. How do I put the VF-0 backpack up? It's kinda stuck halfway.
  17. The effect wasn't really like the barrier overload. It was more of an EMP attack that made things it touched explode for whatever reason.
  18. Well the Metal Siren does have a "powered up" mode where it unleashes its omni-directional attack. Plus the whole idea of entering an enemy ship just to trigger this attack is kinda super robot like.
  19. I think Southern Cross will surprise you with its ambition and directing. The characters and story is pretty well done, however a lot of stuff built up early on is dropped at end so that it could have an ending. Mospeada is pretty average for its time. If you don't mind spoiler ridden reviews, Ginrai and I talked about both shows at length on our podcast at collectiondx
  20. If I may take a minute to talk about Real Robot and where Macross fits in. First off, Real Robot encompasses a lot of different series that seem to be more fantasy than real like Dunbine, L-Gaim, and Five Star Stories. So the humble Scopedog and the tremendously powerful LED Mirage are both Real Robot types. Macross and its Valkyries have always been on the higher end in terms of sheer ability. Let's face it, they're transforming fighters that can do pretty much anything from flying to swimming to space travel or even getting buried by rocks. The Armored VF-25 is a bit more garish like a Stampede Valkyrie but it's still armed with guns and missiles like a Strike Valkyrie. Maybe if it was like the Metal Siren I could see a it being more Super Robot like.
  21. That game was pretty good. You can see some screen shots here. My only complaint is that it needed more characters like Shuu and even Colonel. Heart dies in the span of an episode and he's in there, but no love for Colonel? I gotta say, SF4 looks like the same game we've been getting all along. Where's the innovation?
  22. Radar dishes are a sure fire way to increase your popularity.
  23. The VF-1 is a pretty chunky little anime fighter overall. Comparing the new 1/60 to the old orthographic view you can barely tell that the nose is a bit shorter. The 1/48 has the biggest, craziest nose ever. I think the shape of the shoulders is different because there is probably a swing bar in there that prevents the shoulders from being larger. Also the long ball joints don't help.
