Macross Zero does happen after Rainy Night. The VF-1 was ready to go into production the year Macross Zero takes place so all of the testing is already done. Roy is such a badass with the VF-0 because he had been with the VF-X program for so long. That's probably why he was assigned to pilot the first variable fighters in combat. According to the official chronology, the VF-X had finished testing in November of 2007 where as the Mayan conflict took place in July of 2008.

I though the throttle had three positions. Many of the lineart pics show that if the stick if only put up partially, like 45 degrees up, then it would change the fighter to Gerwalk mode while pulling it up vertically completed the switch to Battroid mode.

Uh guys, the VF-1J was shown in the manga after Ranka had enrolled in Alto's school. We haven't even reached that point in the show so it will probably still happen. You don't go to the trouble of making a CG VF-1 and not show it. It's like Chekov's Valkyrie.

The new 1/60 is far more accurate in all modes. No question about it. The 1/48 is a prettier fighter in a way, but it not any more accurate to what the machine looks like in the show most of the time.

What fanservice? All the girls are drawn with identical character models and they all have gigantic breasts that don't move. It's about as erotic as a statue in the park. Nevermind the fact 80% of character scenes in the movie are from the waist up. It's talking heads all the way.

Tommy Yune seems like a nice guy from what I've heard one of the Robotech podcasts he frequents. Ginrai's talked to him a few times and he loves the 80's robots. And according to Todd, the making of special for SC made it look like he really loved what he was doing. Too bad all that love was squeezed out by mediocrity and a low budget haha.
