We'll probably see the Blast Impulse again, just not flown by Shinn. Just because he swaps mobile suits, doesn't mean they'll get rid of Impulse altogether. I won't be surprised if they give it to Rey. Yeah...and hopefully they give him a dreadnaught system funnel pack.

I apologise graham. I recalled wrong. Its been awhile. Yea i Kinda remmebered the reaction mission coming out of the leg bays (flaps) in fighter mode of the VF-22. So the next cool thing would be portable fold boosters which don't die after one usage, and able to fold in big guns when needed. I can so see it that the next valk would be something out of Zone Of The Enders...where they can fold everywhere on the map and kill things fast and disappear to the other side almost immediately...kinda makes you think of dragonball z fights. OT: Btw, can the VF-17 fire the gunpod in fighter mode? I think i saw an ep where Gamlin fired a machine gun fron under his right wing, where his gunpod might've been.

Aha! That's a great idea for the ultimate valk! Portable Fold Booster.....so they can materialise weapons that shouldn't bbe able to fit during transformation! Then they can just fold in the Gunpod Gamma whenever they need to blast a cap ship...some how that reminds me of IronMan/War Machine materialising that big plasma cannon from nowhere for one of its Super moves.

The only thing that bugs me about the YF-21/VF-22 is it doesn't have a gun in fighter mode unless it has its fastpacks. And IIRC, Max's VF-22 in Mac7 didn't have any fastpacks but was able to "materialise" a gunpod in battroid mode. And oh yeah...it can fold without fold boosters.... I would think a great valk would be one which fuses zent and human technology...very much like the 21/22. Energy weapons would have to come from the Zents as it seems they have alot of beam based weaponry compared to the humans who were still projectile based except for their head mounted anti-air lasers. The Zents would also be more advanced in terms of space-faring/space combat technology...so a newer valk would should have have those features. The perfect valk? Actually it has got to be the VF-4, given a full-body-barrier (no puny PPB shields). I'm not sure how they degraded from the VF-4 to the VF-11. The VF-4 was far superior to those down the line before the 19 and 21 IMHO.

I don't think the Impulse can fly in Sword or Blast. But they do have jump packs....even without any of the packs....and a nasty far-range jump at that. The only reason Launcher Strike was "flying" when Heliopolis was being destroyed was cause the artificial gravity stopped working.

Ha, Blast Impulse is the Sword Strike of Destiny. They've used the Blast pack what... once? I think the sword was used at least twice. Once during Heliopolis, once for killing Miguel. But yur rite....need more blast impulse.....

Don't have that problem with the gunpod.... And based on this picture, its tilted upwards because the grip is extended out of the gunpod for use in gerwalk and battroid mode. But i'm quite sure you pushed it back in during transformation tro fighter mode?

Like the topic says, sometimes toys come out of the packaging oily....is this some kinda grease? Is it for joint lubrication purposes? I realise that this grease sometimes is also found on non-articulate PVC figures. I get the impression that the presence of this grease is due to poor QC. What exactly is this grease for?
