I'd prefer a darker shade, but it probably already is quite dark if I compensate for your camera's flash which seems to be flooding the model. I'd say you can't go wrong with whichever you choose. This model rocks. I'm cnosidering getting it.

I notice that paint problems with the GFF are a lottery....but 80% hit and 20% miss unlike Toynami's 80% miss 20% hit. All my GFF's have near perfect paint application....and I mean NEAR PERFECT. My Zeta C Plus looks great but I noticed a friend's one has bad paint finish ie: paint bleeds slightly to other parts if you look close enough. But over all, the FIX line is a great line for lazy non-modellers. Very good display pieces. Not too big and neither too small for me IMHO. BTW, wasn't there a MSIA version of the Dendrobium? Its much cheaper than the HGUC one i reckon but I don't know much about it. I remmebered seeing it in a toy shop but didn't bother looking closely cause ...i don't remember why.

Really graham...i thought the fighter mode was the best mode for the VF-19A. If not, which mode you think is best? The battroid mode leaves alot to be desired..... But like someone posted the modded joints version offered in Yahoo Japan, that just looked awesome.

in the daicloen toys ultra magnus was a powered up convoy mecha. in traansfomers any version. the original english or the japanese adaptation they are seperate characters. Yeap. The jap version basically picks up where the US version left off so ultra magnus is a different character like the US one.

He's not a newbie.....he's just fickle and doesn't seem to want to watch stuff that make you think too much. My original recommendations still stand....minus akira and ninja scroll. Maybe take away Beyond The Clouds too since its long and character driven. Perfect Blue is another good movie but i don't think he'll like it. Vampire Hunter D Bloodlust was short and sweet. I don't understand why you imply he needs to know more about D to watch it. I watched it with zero knowledge about D and still came out satiesfied. (iffy plot aside) Really...you narrowed it down for us. I can't think of anything your friend might be interested in.

I don't think they are affected by ratings, since the reason for the gundam cartoons are to market to bandai toys after all. So no matter what the ratings, i'm sure more MS will appear and Destiny will complete its run. What it doesn't get in ratings, it will get in merchandise.

Akira is totaly based on a Manga series, almost 2000 pages worth and there's far more depth than the film (Obviously ). Debuted in Japan in 1983 and released in the US by Epic comics (A Marvel Imprint) in 88, 89 in color when the film premiered and in 2001 Dark Horse put out all six volumes (with new translations) in Black and White. I'm re-reading it currently, an excellent read IMHO. Appleseed same story. I haven't read it yet. Seen the movie and it's pretty good. Recommended. Yeah...but you don't have to read the manga to understand the movie, so i guess it qualifies.

I think the reason ppl are harder on games is cause you as the player roleplay and have control of whatever is happening in the game, unlike movies where viewers are passive participants. But still....GTA shall forever be the best game evarrrrrrr...violence or not.
