Thanks Graham. Just wondering, would sitting on a licsence be some sort of breach of contract between the license issuer and the licensee? I mean if I was Sunrise and i gave the licensing to Bandai to create model kits of the new GUndams and Bandai doesn't do anything.....that would piss Sunrise off, no? Well....there's no way in hell that Bandai will sit on a Gundam licsense, but just for example's sake.
  4. No macross at Yamato's booth...but we get to see the Garland transformed. Lookin good. http://afigures.com/g/?mode=album&album=Wo...t+2005%2FYamato
  5. Woah! I'm really liking the Gunbuster and the EVAs. Are those re-sculpts?
  6. Is it just perspective or is the VA-3 Invader smaller than the vf-17 ? I thought it would at least be around the same size as the konig.
  7. Yes its from Keroro Gunsou @ Sgt Frog. Keroro has a big fascination with Gunpla (Gundam) models and hence alot of parodies and jabs done to Gundam in the manga/anime. I'm not sure if the "rarest of the rare kit" MG 1/100 Ball which appeared in the anime brought about the ver. Ka MG Ball model in reality or did they know info in advance.
  8. I can't really see the claws on the shadow alpha. How is it holding the gun? Is it something like lego hands?

Ooo err thanks Graham and Shin. I feel enlightened now.
  10. I knew that somehow Gunparade March and Kenran Butohsai was linked....but I didn't know it was up to such....strange proportions. ANyone played GPM or any of Alfa system games? I read that GPM was great for its time and its story paths are very flexible. You could take on the commander role, the mecha pilot, the engineer, etc or jusst the slacker out to date the girls....... Exerpt from another forum: Anyone else has more insight onto this?
  11. She can tie me up with that wire any day.
  12. Kunoichi is the only "red ninja" for me. Nothing beats fishnets. Will check this game out though.
  13. Welcome to MW, wasteland. Any questions you may have can be redirected to the Newbies thread pinned on top or doing a simple search function. And yes that's a 1S u saw in the movie because with the death of Roy, Max was promoted to Skull Leader and when HE went missing, Hikaru became Skull Leader. There has been no 1S version of the Max from Yamato. However you can buy the 1A version, then get recasted 1S heads from Rohby and then hollowed out lasers from...uhhh....a member here, I forgot. (Too many names around here). Enjoy your stay.
  14. LOL.. It made me think of Loadrunner. Loadrunner indeed.

I don't get it. Aren't all "prototypes" a scratchbuild anyway? Why can't they take that "one off custom job" blue white YF-19, make moulds for it and make it in ABS/Die cast? It looks pretty solid to me for a model.....imagine how durable it'll be when its casted in ABS. That Hasegawa custom would make a better mould IMHO. Well simplicity is one thing. But I'm sure we all want something more detailed and articulate ala 1/48. Otherwise we'd all be harping for more Bandai reissues. I don't mind the LS version....but if Yamato has to choose between LS mould and others, I hope they don't get the LS one and close the macross plus franchise forever.
  16. The valk definately. Cause its the most defining mecha in Macross. Non macross people won't know what the konig monster is. And the valk has less QC issues too.

The LS version doesn't look or pose as great as the other blue transformable model kit down this thread. The LS like ewilen said lacks rotating joints on the hips. I also doubt that it can hold the gun with both hands in front of its chest in a classic gun firing stance. Looks like it breaks easily too.
  18. You're a true VF-17 fan, aren't you Graham?
  19. What I've been told is that the editors would create the covers first then make the writers come up with stories to fit. I know next to nothing about American comics, but Ewilen's explanation makes sense. The whole Superboy thing is weird as hell as well.......
  20. Saw this during my visit to singapore 2 weeks ago in a toy shop. Talk about value for money.
  21. Someone on rotten tomatoes said there's something..."denouement" after the credits. Damn. I didn't know...and left the cinema before that. Make sure u guys stick around to find out what that is. I wanna know.
  22. Sorry if this was asked before.... I was looking at this ebay auction and the seller mentions that they are not allowed to sell this item below 79.99. http://cgi.ebay.com/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?ViewI...5956212676&rd=1 Is this some kinda price control done by Toynami?
  23. What is Gamlin? Gamlin's the Squadron leader for Diamond Force, who pilots the VF-17S. I'm sure he's in it, Graham. Mylene better be there with Gubaba!
  24. Got my monster. It had little scratches on the baydoors/hands, a peg popped off from the back of the cannons but fixable. The nose cone is floppy in battroid and gerwalk mode so I fixed it with some blue tack. Stress marks in the reported areas....being very careful with the areas and abit paranoid with transforming the thing anymore. But overall..very cool toy. Thinking of putting the UN SPACY stickers on the cannons like on the original Monster. Toyshop offered for a replacement but I chose not to since the problems were not really noticeable. Don't wanna get something worse off than what i already have.
  25. I probably liked it because I have some pseudo-knowledge on the occult and doomsday prophecies. I dunno. I thought it was a good movie...at least with all the crap hollywood is currently churning out, this one stands out. And I am by default an Alan Moore/ Gaiman/Vertigo fan...so all's good.
