The random "revelation" in the bathroom scene was boggling...sure reveal that now to make things more believable. The episodes art and animation is top notch....but I still can't get over the fact of the trippy powers of the new Buster Machine. This has really turned into FLCL in space.....

I don't have a boot...but i guess i will soon enuff.... I have an original reissue fire valkyrie....and its quality is pretty near boot quality.....well not the toy itself...but the design. The materials were pretty ok but nothing to shout about. Bandai screwed up with their macross 7 license. In any case, i'm sure it can't get any worse considering the originals weren't a "masterpiece" (woah...dual meaning here, mates) to begin with. And yeah i'm an international bidder so i forked out about 30 bucks for shipping....so it was kinda painful for the pocket.

That would teach me to pounce on cheap macross stuff without verifying the authienticity 1st. After payment and shipping address was sent....a day later i was boasting to a friend that i got 2 VF-19S cheap....then he showed me a picture "this one?" which was the original. Then I went back to the auction and realise the seller never stated it was BANDAI who made it....whereas his other auctions clearly state "MADE BY TOYNAMI" "MADE BY KOTOBUKIYA" .....then i think i'm fukked.....checked MW and voila.....i'm never trusting ebay again..... I knew it was too *(&!@(*&!@ good to be true.....

And i got 2 as well.....

I think it should have more armour to make it look more robotic 1st. Then while fighting an angel, it gets damaged, the armour falls off and *SHOCK!*. Its organic and it bleeds!! As it is now, it looks very organic creature-like and will lose that *SHOCK* factor. Well of course WE won't be shocked...but omg the thing has toes even.

I haven't started with the 2nd season...but i guess this means all's well ends well.

I agree with Graham. The starting few episodes had great pacing and focused on the Destiny Cast. But now it seems too focused on the old cast. I hoped that they only show up later to kick ass...not focused around them....AGAIN for more than half the show. Abit disappointed about this...and lack of Lunamaria or any of the Seed cast's development. (i lie...i just want more Luna. )

Some blokes at MIT were doing something similar. It was a backpack and a walking exoskeleton, so you could carry heavy objects on your back and walk at the same time.

Speaking of recreating that scene in perfect detail, I wonder if its possible to make a custom diorama of the 1/48 in mid barrel roll, firing its mini missles, which are suspended with wire or something......that would be pretty cool.

I never caught on what's so great about Hellsing. It was so-so for me..and the whole incognito plot was stupid. Uber anti-hero who can't die or be defeated is boooooriiingggg.....

While most people already judged the show before it came out (from the earlier threads and the "WTF" sub-topic), I'm glad I was pleasantly surprised that I was right not to judge the show before it was out. I think this will be a splendid series. But it may fall short to expectations as well since its shaping up to be pretty epic. Love the animation so far....so great it is that I wonder if they can sustain this for a full 13 or 26 episodes anime. Its really surprising because animation of this quality is usually reserved for OVAs or movies. To make more than 5 episodes of this caliber could cost ALOT....but that's from Bandai's deep pockets...so i guess its possible.
