Spatula: If it makes it easier for u: Only 2 days (IIRC) have passed on the Luxion (48 hours) since the battle happened where noriko's dad died some 10 years ago. So in theory of time dilation, that ship was travelling near light speed for 2 days when the rest of the world went on with their lives in 10 years. Noriko hoped to find her father still alive but to her dismay the bridge was no longer there. If Noriko took longer than 10 minutes to recon the Luxion, the aliens might have already destroyed earth by the time she gets back to normal space. Time dilation has been the stuff of hard-scifi and offers very interesting stories. There was a book called Firefly (i think) about a girl who gets to travel in a ship that orbits the earth at the speed of light. Something goes wrong and she was thrown a few thousand years into the future, and she ends up on a desolate dead planet earth. In Ender's Game, a space fleet was sent to destroy the xenomorphs (buggers) home planet many years ago. The fleet will probably reach it 10 years after it made its journey but to the fleet, only a few days has passed. By the time they reach their destination, their ships are outdated and basically just ill equipped to attack the alien homeworld which has ample time to build up its defences. In the mean time, a genius commander will be trained to take the daunting task of commanding this ill equipped fleet to destroy the alien menace. Lets not forget Voices of a Distant Star which is a love story by its core, about how a 16 year old girl is sending text messages from space to her lover on earth who only receives her messages every few years due to time dilation. Its pretty sad. Talk about long distance relationship.

Episode 14. Lots of stuff revealed....but i realise Megumi doesn't do proper translations. Even i could catch some errors or laziness on the translator's parts. Haro, can you actually track through episodes IE: back track few minutes before to catch what you've missed in the video, or even skip through the beginning to somewhere in the middle? Cause i can't seem to track. Everytime i backtrack the video, it gets stuck, as if the file doesn't have indexes, which is weird. Pretty annoying since i have to watch the show right from the beginnning and get to that point which i needed some clarification.

Prime died. I cried. Nuff said.

You know with only 8 more episodes to go, I hope (and wonder) if they are able to wrap this up nicely. Most of you who've gone on ahead with the other subs seem to be pretty happy. But now at 42 we still dunno: And if you have the answers if you've seen the later episodes, PLEASE DON'T SPOIL. >_< You could say whether they did or did not resolve these plot elements but dun spoil. 1.) what is the summer of love? 2.) why was adrock the hero who isn't actually the hero? What was his role in all this? 3.) The golden bough(sp?) book? Book with naked lady. What's that about? Is this a fictional or real book cause i swear i saw it in some other anime somewhere. 4.) What's the compac drive disease? Why does it happen? 5.) Guy with sick wife in the outskirts of town, why does he have uber powers to drop those big sticks sticking outta the ground? 6.) Where's the sister, Diane? What was her importance/role in the summer of love ? Don't tell me most of this will only revealed in the PS2 game. >_>

I'm really liking the series. Am now at episode 11. The love story was pretty well done too and believable unlike love story elements in most mecha shows. The series has the usual mecha-genre angst in it too, but just enough to sustain the drama and not over-angst the whole show ala Gundam Seed. There's something odd about Ryoko Kanigami's voice which i find cute. I'm not sure if they wanted her to sound that way or is the seiyuu abit on the inexperienced side.

So this is the prequel to the anime series eh... Graphics look kinda nice. Wonder how it plays.

I have a proposition. Get a garage ya....buy that 1/100 scale wooden SDF-1, and then in front of it hang all yer valks from teh ceiling. When you open the garage door....w00t.....Space War 1 in your garage!!!

4 years ago i was still studying in university and spent my saved up scholarship money on a then-released VF-1S Roy Focker in Australia (not my home country, but where i was studying). I thought that thing was awesome and would be the only 1/48 i'll ever own. 4 years into the future i now have....6-7 1/48s....i even have one extra VF-1S roy hidden somewhere which i bought for cheap and for purposes of customising one day. -__-;; Fortunately everything safe the Roy and Hikaru 1S and VF-0S were bought at below retail prices.

Maybe i should just post my anime playlist here. I don't wanna admit it, but i must say i must've listened to Cruel Angel Thesis a million times back in the day and can actually sing the whole song word for word. XD Anyway i'll just list the current ones that i like. The Haruhi insert songs God Knows and Lost My Music are J-pop awesome. I kinda like all the Eureka 7 songs as well. Zegapain's OP is growing on me.

I just built up my Gold Frame Amatsu. This kit is DA BOMB. It comes in primarily gold plated and black glossed parts. Without any paints, i was very impressed with how mine looked in the end. I even used the red shiny stickers it came with (laziness on my part) and i can't complain bout it. It rocks. Sure it doesn't have the poseability of the Red Frame due to its oversized shield and giant appendages, but this kit is definately a looker. No pictures of my own yet. A mostly unpainted kit. I've been downloading but not watching the series for awhile. So i continued and kinda found it interesting as the story progressed beyond episode 5-6. POSSIBLE SPOILER Around episode 5-6, it is discovered that humanity has already been destroyed. The only thing remaining of humanity are the data of their conciousness backed up into Quantum Servers hidden around the world. The Holonic Armour aka Zegapain mecha are somewhat like a medium for them to interact with the real world. So this plot allows for some good sci-fi and story telling here. I'm gonna follow this series from now on.

Except unfortunately the valks are not GFFs and thus markings are not easily changed by just interchanging cheap PVC parts. Haha...GFFs are fun that way. Well according to graham the only thing confirmed not to have tampo prints are the tail fins. Logically the legs and gunpod would remain tampo-ed.

You can quit the toys but i dun see why you're leaving the community because you're not gonna buy the toys?
