HOLY SHEEP! Thanks for the link, MoP. Woah those roadbots are HUGE. Huger than MPC Prime even. Looks pretty cool and detailed too. Shame on me when i thought these were transformer bootlegs some time ago. -

The material on the girls itself feel sort of a mix between ABS and rubbery PVC, much like those found on the Revoltech figures. The armour goes without saying is ABS plastic with some tampo printing and 2-3 colors for paints. The joints are tight enough, but i'm worried about the parts where you need to disassemble to replace the spacers. They are tight now, but over time i'm not sure if they will become loose. But generally the figures themselves are pretty good quality. No complaints .... yet.

Here's your hot rod. Not as bad as 1st envisioned...but that padlock around the neck still doesn't look like a fashion accesory. -
I got both the Angel and Devil type yesterday, removed both girls and did naughty poses and was quite impressed with the poseability. I'm sure they'd make Evangelion Plugsuit tributes in this line one day. Then i only had time to put the armour on the Angel type. There's some degree of part swapping involved. You have to disassemble the arms, hands, and thighs to remove a small spacer/washer, and put another spacer that has a hole for you to put the armour parts on. The manual is kinda dodgy cause it doesn't show you how to apply the armour 100%. I had to look at the box art for reference. It includes a serial number which you can scratch to reveal, supposedly to gain access to an online software that allows you to design and "play" with the doll you bought. Overall pretty fun. But i'll probably stop myself at the Waffe Bunny. Running out of space as it is.

Ohhh...its mari-tan. Supposed to be a US Marine Corp inspired mascot that teaches english , something like Moe-tan. When I was in the office, i thought this has something to do with Full Metal Jacket, F.A.K.K, and not office safe i could only imagine. XD

The Aim for the Top! Gunbuster Thread v2.0

As a benchmark, i think the gunbuster is the biggest SOC ever made. -
Yeap....ingram 02. It was already on display in WF.

Sorry. Fixed that, though its not really a spoiler, just observing how the directors tried to have a "samenesss" to the original ending credits that's all. Anyway here's another SPOILER question to those who've watched the RAW, also about the ending credits. During the ending credits, as the moon passes by the screen, a whole bunch of lights light up in the middle forming some sort of insignia or logo. Anybody know what that logo is? -

You sure you're waiting for hot rod, not the accompanying figure? -

I owe this to you guys. Not quite new pics, but these were taken by me at Chara Hobby. I really hope the launchpad and RX-9s are included in the GB set because they're being shown at every convention on display. -

Thanks mercurial morpheus. Haven't got to watching the tribute yet but downloading as we speak. Anyway i got my hands on the Gunbuster Renewal subs and just skipped through some of the episodes and rewatched the EX and extra Science lessons. POSSIBLE SPOILERS!! Also rewatched the last ep of both top 1 and top 2. Its cool that they made the ending the same especially of the Earth but from a different angle. We can't see the Gunbuster as it floats in space but instead get to see the moon with Nono's butt imprint. I was watching the Top 1 end and the Top 2 end side by side. Pretty cool to see some stuff like the orbiting light (which is actually the rotating boosters around the earth's equator) retained in top2. The captain in Top 2 looks almost the same as the captain in Top 1, wonder if he's the same guy. -
Ok i feel stupid. I thought I posted these links here but apparently I didn't. So its somewhere lurking in Macrossworld now. Let me know where it is so i can delete it thanks. http://cms.or.tp/~gamu/gangu/konami/busou1/tensi1.html http://cms.or.tp/~gamu/gangu/konami/busou2/akuma2.html Either that or my connection is !*(@&! up really bad which is quite the situation now.

Yea i seen the 1s ep too....it was pretty bad...not even a kid with limited intelligence would watch it. I like my powerpuff girls to remain made of Sugar, Spice and everything Nice.

I like how you could see the eyes through the visor.

A new ravage? -
Those pics do look awesome. But the side profile of the battroid makes me wonder if the battroid could actually hold the gunpod with both hands. The shoulders seem to lack the ability to swivel forward, and the big boob on the chest isn't gonna help.

Just to let u guys know, Alphonse is out, and so is the Eva00 blue. http://www.moeyo.com/2006/09/post_1159.html http://taste.style.coocan.jp/hobby060916.htm

Then bring out the Neu Ziel...Val Walo....etc!!
-
Heh...you mean the Dendrobium? XD

THe one i got was the later release which doesn't come with the extra decals. Apparently only the 1st release had the Zabi decals and the subsequent release doesn't have it. Someone told me that the Zabi's decals actually come with the Jagd Doga's though.

Yeah...i was just commenting on the note that if Takara , Kaiyodo and Kotobukiya can do it, why can't Yamato, in terms of QC? If we discount toy design (complicated) out of the picture, i don't think there really should be an excuse for poor QC, especially at the price they are charging. That's why i ask, what's the reasons for the lack of QCs? Are the factories crap? If so, change factories....use the ones Takara are using. Is they money we're paying for the toy going straight into someone's pockets instead into QC? If so, fire that guy and lynch him. And i don't think "Yamato is smaller than Takara and Bandai and thus have no funds for better QC" argument will work here. QC is QC....you can't produce toys without it really. So really, what's wrong with Yamato?
