It only comes with extra armour parts and the head. Which can be a good or bad thing. Should i buy another Devil Type just for the body or should i wait for a release of a basic body figure?

I think he can't accept it as a sequel to gunbuster. I on the other hand don't' mind it too much. What i thought could've made it much better are the re-inclusion of science lessons. They could tell what are the new buster machines about, why do they have to be awakened, etc. What are the topless exactly and how their powers manipulate ether. Much of this are left unexplained making Top 2 feel more shallow compared to Top 1. Okay so let's talk sequel/prequel that might make it a Top triology. I'm thinking they can make a whole series surrounding Dix-Neuf (Buster Machine 19) and how he got the horn stuck on his right eye, who was the previous pilot that left a scrawling behind an ancient part of the armour, how it lost its left hand, etc. In the last episode, it fights alongside Buster Machine 7 which ends up getting stuck in a comet. Great script huh? jk

The director said he would like to make the 2nd season but no news yet. I think they are waiting for more source material before continuing.

Don't forget the anime and the marketing. Nothing much is done for macross in terms of marketing and it remains to be a niche market. Gundam on the other hand is being marketted constantly and there's always a new anime to support the toys. Macross 7 tried to make it more mainstream but i don't think it did really well if u based it on fan opinions and even the merchandising. >_<

Correct me if i'm wrong, is the part I circled the magazine? Cause if it is, i don't see why it can't fit beneath the shield housing. In battroid/gerwalk mode, the shield is attached on the top half to the hand, leaving clearance for the gunpod in the middle of the shield. And in figther mode, there is a little leeway in between the hands to allow space for the gunpod beneath the shield. Here's graham's picture from TIAS magazine for reference. I could be wrong and Graham is snickering his butt off while whooshing his prototype YF-19 around the room while singing a tune "HAHA siilly MW-ers..." And i reaally doubt that fold booster on shield thingy. Its too weird. I think it attaches to top of the legs, not the shied. But yeah....bring on the tampo printing anyday!

IIRC the only valks that were packaged in battroid mode are the Macross Plus ones and those weren't the 1st. The 1st 1/60 VF-1s were in fighter mode. I think yamato did the logical thing when things started to break in battroid mode out of the box with the VF-11B and probably not influenced by this forum.

I'm quite sure it will. Check out the new pic, back view of the battroid. See that black piece behind the shield? I'm 99% sure its used to house the magazine. And the gunpod's magazine looks removable too. So that makes number 2 of unshown features if that's right. What's the 3rd one i wonder. Clear plastic Pinpoint Barrier punch hand attachment?
