Going by J-doramas, usually 13. Anime "season" goes by 13 episode or 26 episode seasons but for clarity i'd go for 13 episodes. 13 episodes is about 3 months worth of broadcast time which equals to one season. I actually wonder about this. Initially even the meisters seem confused that if this was part of Aeolia's plan, their destruction at the hands of the united earth. To be the common enemy of the nations so that they will unite. But I tend to think , no. Because that would mean the world is still at war. At war with Celestial Being. I think that Aeolia's plan would've come to fruition if not for the Corner Faction's tampering and the appearance of the Gundam Thrones since the 3 nations decided to call it quits until Allejandro provided them with the GN-drive-Taus. The 4 Gundam Meisters might or might not be killed in the process since there seems to be a TRANS-AM system that wasn't revealed at the time.

Yeah...i didn't mention him because someone on this boards mentioned he played more of a "sempai" director role, keeping this team of young otaku punks in check so they can produce coherent material, and that he didn't provide any of the creative input for Macross. This topic is in regards to the closure of the "The Clan of Klan" thread which showcases Klan Klan's, (a character from Macross Frontier) fan art. The thread was closed because i linked to an image showing Klan Klan crying as she sits, with blood stains on her skirt and on a young Michel supposedly for crude comedic relief. The image itself is not explicit but because a mod felt it was a sensitive topic to touch upon (as it implies Klan's 1st menstual cycle) has decided to close the whole thread down to curb any further discussion on the topic. Note that the image was linked and not shown on the forum. I personally think it unfair to close a thread based on that post without any prior warning. The mod has claimed that "a line was crossed" when there actually is no visible line implied as all warnings to postings of fanart to the said thread were warnings against pictures that were "too sexy" or of explicit nature. A warning and perhaps deletion of the "offending post" would have sufficed. I am aware that sterner action could've been taken like banning me from the forums or something, but glad that the mods didn't. Thus I suggest the thread be reopened and a set of guidelines be set by board admins so that members can follow them and threads won't be closed/moderated by overzealous moderators. It would seem that now members have to post their images to a mod for "approval" before posting on the thread so as not to offend any moderators which might take action. This is completely unnecessary on a board which generally posts wisely. I feel guilty that my actions alone have inconvenienced other board members so I hope the admins will look into this matter. I think we discussed this on another thread, Macross cannot be credited to him solely alone. It was team effort between him, Mikimoto and Itano. Its just that he adopted it as his own since DYRL? and he's known as father of Macross from then on.

Own a YF-19 toy and SV-51 toy and you'll see how it is different. I can't explain it too well but yeah. More like same bits, same transformation (to SV-51) but with slight variance in the pivot points. Oh great froating head. He also said that Ranka's hair moves because some Zentrans can. You gonna take that as canon? And if we wanna pull hairs, the entry says "he THINKS" its a VF-1 lookalike that transforms like a VF-19. Sounds like he's not sure himself.... But you know what, i'm done with this topic. Its pointless and doesn't add any value to the thread and discussion so i'll just agree to disagree with you and Kawamori.

More like the torso flips over the nose, just like the SV-51 except its flipping the other direction. Refer to images below. SV-51 is pretty much a VF-4 kinda design anyway. Your diagram fails to show the hinges and pivot points that make it transform. The final location of the piece does not denote the same type of transformation. At least not to me. In the 3rd image, i highlighted the mechanics that make the torso swivel into position, the same ones in the SV-51. But note that it swivels further than a SV-51 does thus it covers the nose cone like that. Otherwise as you can see in this pic, it will end up pretty similar to the SV-51. Those who own the toy might know what i'm talking about. PS: Also note that the SV-51 was designed much later than the VF-19 was. Kawamori probably learnt a thing or two from his lego transformations of the SV-51 and incorporated some of them into the VF-25 design. As most people are aware, the VF/YF-19 wasn't the most accurate of designs due to anime-magic involved thus how the transformation happens was more of an afterthought rather than today's designs, with the how taking priority over the final look.

Can't argue with u if u just take the cockpit as the comparison point. What about : 1.) The torso section that flips and rests on the nosecone/cockpit section 2.) The wings which are generally same transformation as SV-51 3.) The head that faces forward in fighter mode 4.) The nose cone, that folds into the landing gear doors. The main diff of the VF-25 part with the SV-51 is the whole cockpit flips backwards rather than forwards thus why you'd think that it looks like the VF-19. 5.) The wing-root guns Look at the OP and carefully see how the cockpit section flips and moves when Alto transforms from gerwalk mode to battroid mode. Shrug. To each their own. Not that it matters. Even Kawamori himself doesn't seem sure.

Source? Because as some members pointed it out, its more remeniscent of a SV-51 in transformation and shape. Doesn't need kawamori to tell us that.

Maybe that bandana is an appendage to Klan....like Ranka's moving hair..... She even has the bandana when she was younger so it makes sense.

Eh? I must've missed it cuz the only cannonfodder i saw during ep 7 were the ones in the hangars during transformation of Quarter. We only see some fodder in the form of red streaks flying around the Quarter shooting at blue streaks (Vajra). in hindsight....i think i remember VF-117s launching with fold boosters, but was that ep7?

Either i'm missing something or you're off into another tangent. But good points though. You'll have to forgive me as i forgot alot of names and terms since its been awhile. AFAIK, Sumeragi only knows the one plan. World peace. People are going to die, is due to this plan not some clandestine plan that wasn't revealed yet. I had the impression that Eifman found out about Allejandro's plan, who was in turn aligned with the clone guys. (forgot what they were called) I don't think there's any other MASTER plan for CB other than "Aeolia's plan for true world peace" and "Allejandro's plan to conquer earth under his banner" who is actually being used by "Clone Guys who wanna form Earth Federation for something not revealed yet". Eifman found out Allejandro's plans then quickly got dispatched by team Trinity. There was more information revealed in the side story mangas on what happened during the Jupiter expedition apparently and how CB broke into the pure CB and the Corner faction. I dunno....i'd say it creates suspense so isn't necessarily a bad thing. They don't have to be omni present. They just have to scare ppl into submission. Its just like say, its impossible to eradicate crime in the world cause you only have so many police. But because there ARE police, less people are committing crimes than when there aren't any police. In 00 they mentioned world conflicts have been reduced by 60-70% after CB's interventions. The only ones left was the cold war between the 3 major nations. And they did NEARLY achieved world peace....until Allejandro came about and offered free GN drives to the world. People would've argue they would've lost if not for the Thrones, but who knows, maybe TRANS-AM would've activated then. And even if CB lost, it seems the world was united against their common enemy, the CB and in effect some form of peace was already formed. ==================================================== Summary: 1.) There are now two main forces at work. Aeolia's CB, and clone guys. 2.) Aeolia's plans is genuinely world peace, as stated by his auto-eulogy, but he is aware of the dissent within CB and has come up with some counter measures, one of them TRANS-AM and another the Gundam 00 and also anti-gundam weaponry. 3.) Clone guys want the world united under them to form Earth Federation. But why? Wage war against spacenoids? (highly possibly that there already are spacenoids in 00. Seems CB has bases on some planets) 4.) Allejandro Corner was used by Clone Guys for their own aims. 5.) CB now is preparing to stop Clone Guys and the new EF in doing whatever their plan is. CB has became AEUG and EF is TITANS if you will.

Or like someone mentioned, maybe its just they didn't have the time/budget to render them in. Or maybe its a direction thing. Even with Macross Zero, it would seem our heroes are the only ones fighting the war. Sure u see some cannon fodders here and there but only very rarely. Even in ep 7, i don't think we ever saw the Pixies giving the impression Klan fights alone.....

I think it makes more sense that Leon isn't in the same faction as Brera, but possibly someone who knows more of the Vajra than he lets ppl know. At this point of time, his actions seem to show that he wants to eradicate the Vajra...and he knows that Ranka plays a key role in this hence stopping her rise to fame so as to easily remove her when the time is ripe. Brera's faction (Galaxy?) seems abit more mysterious. A number of theories have been made about why they are trying to destroy the "evidence" so we'll watch on to see what happens. And yes Brera's action in engaging Klan was unnecessary in terms of the mission. It probably shows his "arrogant hate to lose" trait and would challenge anyone worthy to a dogfight. He'll probably get a lecture from whoever he's working for next episode.

Yeah but I figured they should be covering each other's backs or something not go off on their own duel or something. I don't see much of the squad-based-tactics/combat that would've been cool.
