seconded. A big WTF indeed. -
The writing for Code Geass is already bordering on overfantasic and Lelouch's "JUST AS PLANNED" is getting less brilliant and more on Luck. But I guess the human drama still keeps it entertaining. I don't really approve of the Knights of Round with ther overpowered mecha. Where were they the whole of season 1?

In-universe explanation: It was a movie prop which conveniently could be used as transportation as well. Probably from Grand General Maximilian Jenius' personal collection. Real world explanation: Such a nice CG model of a helicopter from Mac Zero gone to waste due to few seconds screentime? REUSE! RECYCLE! -

What sucks is the media is again demonising anime/comics/games for the actions of a mentally disturbed guy. http://www.japanprobe.com/?p=4835 And some ppl want their 30 seconds to fame..... http://www.japanprobe.com/?p=4836

Macross Frontier Mecha/Technology Thread II *Read 1st Post*

Not so simple. Imagine a swarm of bees attacking you and you can shoot them all down but only if you look at each one individually. You're bound to miss a few hundred in the process. Since the human eyes is generally 90 degrees stereoscopic vision, it would be better to assume to target the swarm of bees directly in your field of vision, and when you move your eyes up/down/left/right you increase the firing arc slightly a few degrees. But again i don't buy the eye targeting. It works when Ozma and Michel uses the eye sensor to zoom in to Alto/Ranka in episode 2, but to target multiple targets....it should be as easy as point, lock, fire, forget. -
Can someone help me out? I'm trying to download the guide and the "confirmation code" says "THHP" but everytime i try to enter it, it says it fails. I am shown many variations of the "THHP" code but i can not download the file. Help?

QFT. As much as I like Macross, i don't just diss Frontier for no reason. Water under the bridge? That's sewage, mate. And it reeks.

That makes sense except in those situations its better if the targetting computer just locks onto everything. Why be specific when releasing a missile volley? Same with Macross Zero, why choose missiles when you'd wanna shoot all of them down? (starting with the closest proximity of course) Focusing on 40-50 objects individually in a span of few seconds? Don't think our eyes can do that. But perhaps Ozma just had to focus only on the distance from a firing arc specified by his eyes and the targetting computer targets all targets in that range and viscinity. -

Sorry if this was mentioned before but in ep 7 when Ozma locks into multiple enemies, is it necessary to gain the target locks with his eyes other than the standard "cuz it looks cool"? I'd figure the computer should just lock on to all the enemies automatically. In fact probably same should apply to the missiles that Roy shot down with the VF-0S in Macross Zero..... Thinking of moving my eyeballs around like that makes me dizzy. -

Explanation in English...please? -
Same here...at least until i bought the 360. After playing Gears of War constantly, i realise i now can play FPS in normal y-axis both for console games and on the PC. But i still play flight sims in inverted mode. Weird.

I just wonder what the PUBLIC thought happened. The events of Macross Zero was classified and kept secret until a later time. Whatever ppl think happened during the Bird Human Incident is what the government tell ppl. I wonder what kind of "role" or importance Shinn and Sara played in those stories. And i'm really curious what is the "official" ending that the UN Spacy told happened to Sara and Shinn. They got abducted by the Birdman? They became godly beings? Anyway here's some comparison shots between Frontier and Zero. http://www.darkmirage.com/2008/06/06/macro...tier/#more-1162 -
Episode 10. Needless to say, Brera and Alto vs Hydra was lame. http://www.darkmirage.com/2008/06/06/macro...tier/#more-1162 Tribute or lazy? I'm on the fence on this. Its a shame we can't see more of what happened during the "Bird Human" movie.

I spent 1.5 hours going from gerwalk back to fighter mode. The YF-21 isn't proving easier than its 1/72 predecessor to fit those legs back into the compartment. Even now after putting the stand attachment, the lower fuselage flaps don't close tightly and properly. Now i'm tired....probably not touching the toy for a week. -

Got it to pop off finally. Thanks. Now facing another problem. Going back to fighter mode or at least to put the adapter for the stand. I can't extend the backpack area again. I've used as much elbow grease as I dare but the damn thing doesn't budge. Is there some kinda lock somewhere that i forgot to unlatch? -

Just seen it. Fight with Hydra felt like it was out of a pencil sketch battle scene in Noien....and animated in that "style". (lolwtf?) Kawamori's cameo as the "Director" was awesome. Its a shame we don't get any extra info on what exactly Macross Zero meant and what was the "Bird Human". -

Anyone have any idea what picture no. 20 in the gerwalk -> battroid transformation is supposed to tell u? It would seem you could pull out the joint that connects the fuselage flaps to the legs so it has more option but i can't seem to get this out. I found stress marks below the head area where it would connect to the nosecone. Beware this area while transfrorming. -
He thought Shao Pai Long (the character) as real and he thought those were superpowers possesed by humans. I think the movie depicted Lynn Kaifun as Shao Pai Long who single handedly defeats evil giants. The Zentrans were afraid by what they saw. Capt. Gloval assured him its just a movie which made Exedol more confused.

I think cus that's not canon. FP means its space flight and thus intakes are closed. -
I think there's a difference between covers and a ripoff. Covers retain name of song being covered or at least credits the original song to the original composer/singer/publisher. Kanno didn't credit any of them it would seem but someone mentioned this doesn't require a lawsuit as there were slight changes in the music thus it wasn't plagiarism? About a few years back a bunch of anime fans noticed that a Taiwanese singer used the exact same tune from Tori No Uta from "AIR" , a game cum anime's opening sequence. The Taiwanese singer was contacted by Visual Arts Key and he immediately apologised (citing he didn't write the song thus not know it was plagiarised) and removed the song from the album. I think if people really wanted to pursue the case against Kanno, they'd have one. Or maybe she has a strong backing.
