Tetsuo!!! Outside of this sphere/realm/den, don't have many whom would appreciate an akira masking tape wrapper! Dont want to find it amongst the discarded wrapping..😅 Noice! How much did you plonk down for that? An akira bomb on the wallet?🤠Am treating my clear files as my akira cell art which i can afford 😅 and maybe framing them...🤪

some of my thoughts.. For HMR am wanting a HMR frontier most of all. But HMR M7 would also do nicely...
-
and out of the blue comes a vf-11 DX. 😬😅 the 11 appears in both M7 and M+, amirite BANDAI? i wouldn't mind a 1/48 vf-11 ...🤪 how early is early to beat the vf-11 drums...
-
On a separate note; I think the large cover, when unfolded, can double as a poster..am thinking will leave the book without it as not to crumple the cover, and also the copy on the actual book looks more stylised as an art book…

Guess the hase q-ray was too new..Instead we have a illustration done sometime ago.. however her recent vf-1 battroid (hase I think?)is featured prominently on one of the pages.. Yes was about to say they missed the mark by not including foldouts. Maybe there will be another poster book version🤪 The single panel HMR art pages certainly made me return to them quite often..nice fit on the pages..additionally I think there were tamashii event illustrations which were not on the box? I can’t remember the individual box arts after so many HMRs…case in point.. I like the way you think Like bandai 😅

heheh there are a few more in the book, but yeah this one got me ðŸ¤ðŸ¤ but its not a bad book in any sense...the B3 size really does help to pick out/admire the details/beautiful illustrations..😄

LOL now you mentioned it, yes that would be Max's HMR boxart. Nice catch! With HMR Kaki's boxart included a Max1A in the background, I guessed HMR max cover would look similar somehow. edit: so similiar, kakizaki looks like max in cockpit of the HMR kaki illustation Like what you said...2 valks in 1 shot eh, tenjin-san! 🤠On the packaging...maybe i will return to CDJ for better delivery protection...esp for heavy books...magazines, maybe amazon can still suffice..
-
lol mine came in a paper bag as well…first time I had something delivered this way…tiny cardboard sheet was the only ‘protection’ and is smaller than the book.. no wrapping on the book either.. 🤪 only a tiny little scrape on the big west cover insert but other than that is unscathed..it looked to be delivered by a local personal courier so perhaps lucky in that sense somewhat .. from a quick glance: paper stock feels nice..not too glossy.. photos and colors are on point…found the latest HMR photos included .. only annoyances are the large spreads across 2 pages break the aesthetics of the photos, especially if some cut across important areas..

Pics? Don't thank me.....🤣😉

1) "The key point in reproducing the deformation of "YF-21" with DX Chogokin was the problem of balancing proportions in fighter and battroid forms. A thin and beautiful fighter form reminiscent of the actual YF-23. On the other hand, the long legs and high waist proportions are reminiscent of ``Quadran Ro''. A massive battroid form that looks like it has been condensed into the upper body. The most important issue was how to fit these long legs into a fighter form. The solution was to rotate the ankle and shorten the length of the leg itself." Yeah..but that seam line running in lower half...compared to the rest of the leg...🤨 2) Still cant see how the limbs would come off for delimited mode... - The black square under the fuselage seems to be some locking mechanism perhaps...

https://hjweb.jp/article/1205461/ HJ Web write-up w similar pics. Some explanations/ Reasons for design choices explained. Not sure if this pic was shared before...

shocked! RIP...
-
This DX is a parts-former! Pre-Order Ca..... Still would like to see if the limbs and legs are separate from each other, or are still attached to a common plate for ease of removal/reattachment when substituting with the delimited belly plate part..
-
Amazon just charged it …can’t wait! Man now am considering whether to get the A4 version..sigh.. B3 copy is on the way!
-
That looks like zeta gundam in flight mode?
-
On the length of the nose/fuselage from intakes on, wide lens shot or not, to me it does look a bit shorter/ less stubby? than previous prototype. Although this makes battroid mode to look fitter and will make legs look to sit less further up. For me, fighter is not as stylish as the yamato forward looking wise, however bandai's design is not bad either. Tampo will as usual, save the day. 🤣😅 NETFC ftw! 🤣🤣 .......i kid....

Ah yes. Ye olde memories of rushing to the newsagent only to find out issues are sold out. Man. Feeling Old. Crap.

Thanks for the screenshots...so yeah mostly internal micro missile loadouts forgot to reference the macross mecha manual site.....fast packs have micro missiles as well.. Sums up a more likely 21 DX release scenario...
-
Can’t remember, but does the 21 even load different types of missiles in the ova/movie? i dont expect a similar full pack like the 19 just because the 19 had way more load out configurations (plus an arm cannon) than the 21.

Hmm. Bots may have something to say abt that..yeah who knows you are probably right 😅😅
