Not just you, I felt the armor could do with more color contrast say on the panels etc, than just grey all over. arads scheme to me is one of the nicer liveries of the 31, as there are more colors involved. That’s just individual preference.. still mulling this 31 armor over...wondering if I shld spend on the 1/48 vf-1 armor instead

Once again am in disagreement with the reviewers who gave this flick a low rating... i can see why they might not like it as much as the other mcu movies, esp parts which seemed a little too contrived. However I find captain marvel to be a fun ride! Visually arresting, I enjoyed the 90s nostalgia trip picking out the nuances of the era... Fury was still as cool as ever, Kree and skrulls had interesting settings, the telling of captain marvel’s origins were kept in mystery till the end, and there would be questions after the movie abt timelines of things found in the story... And oh yeah, GOOD KITTY! Again, a fun show worth the price of admission... -

Hahaha don’t I know it Noel! I blame it on looking at all the customs of the 31 on twitter... I guess I need to make up my mind soon. I still think this set is way too big for me to display...

Congratulations on your 19! Even tho the left back fin was a minor irritatant, if you got urs QC free then you must be extra happy! thats the awesome thing abt this release that it gives you so much options. But if ur asking abt the default config, I suspect the full set 19 release is to mimic the cover of ‘this is animation macross plus’ with all the loadouts laid out on the tarmac. There isn’t one particular default configuration for me though.

Damm i made my mind up abt not getting the armor.....but then i cant help thinking abt separating the gatling guns of the armor and mounting it on other 31 valks... plus, since the gatlings are mounted to the arms, to what seems to be the same hardpoint as the forearm missiles, could the gatlings be mounted on the wingtips ala lil drakens?! the final question...would gatlings hanging off the wings look nice or goofy?!

Nice! I wish there were third party adapters cos i don't want to get another set just for the adapters... Imagine what you could load up!

cheaper than my super O i got at CDJ by approx 400 yen! Not sure on the shipping tho... Whoa i forgot that tenjin san would be doing a VF-4 boxart! Quite a lot of fumes the VF-4 is putting out through the leg nozzles....catalytic converter must be broke..

It’s entirely possible that N-Y doesn’t have the A and is just jacking up the price to cover their costs to obtain one from evil bay or anywhere else. Like proxy shopping... However with the 31A preorder fiasco that happened it doesn’t help NY’s reputation one bit to list the 31A again, even if it might be a proxy, as folks don’t know where the source actually is from..

How easy would it be, do you think, to remove the insignia? I thk noel tried to custom his 31J tailfin(?) before but the tampo wasn’t as easy to come off..

Really depends on what valk it is. I used to transform my chunky anytime I felt/looked at it. It was so simple and robust to transform... other than the vf-1, I would transform the valks when I had the time to look at jenius’s videos beforehand. I simply can’t remember the steps Another reason to get more than one copy so you can display all modes, but that’s the lazy way haha...
