  1. Bleh, who cares about on-stage pics. Just look for the normal pics. http://www.maryu.net/tomo/ (pic taken at 11/2003 event)
  2. Everything is working on my end. 3. Consider it this way, Nanashi's site may not be accurate or official, but at least someone is providing translations to all sorts of Macross material out there (and even some neat pics). Whether or not it's official, lets leave that to Egan to answer. Nanashi has also provided some pics of some rare stuff.
  4. Blah blah blah. Yap yap yap. I still don't care if Macek gets an award or gets run over by a car.
  5. SteelFalcon is RPG info. RPG info is not accurate as it works in the world of the game. Therefore, we don't use that info. We work off what we have from the Compendium.
  6. IIRC, they are referring to the Gol Boddole Zer-class fortresses. Whether or not they also include the Lapramiz-class fortresses as well...I don't recall. http://www.anime.net/macross/feedback/index.html
  7. In regards to the VF-17's gunpod attachment: http://www.anime.net/macross/mecha/united_...vf17/index.html In regards to the VF-4's armaments: http://www.anime.net/macross/mecha/united_.../vf4/index.html
  8. Perhaps one should consider that the SV-51 also uses a 55mm gunpod with only 120 rounds.
  9. I forgot which studio Mikimoto worked for but he was definitely not part of Studio Nue. That part I do remember. I don't believe he was part of Artland but I'll have to check.
  10. *yawn* Didn't we talk about this a month ago?
  11. This really isn't a tech forum so you might want to ask a tech forum... Anyways, yes it can be done. But first, do you have a SATA compatible motherboard or IDE controller card? SATA drives use much smaller plugs than the old IDE drives so it should be easy to spot the plug. If you don't have a compatible motherboard, you'll need to buy a SATA compatible IDE controller card. I suggest this model: http://www.newegg.com/app/ViewProductDesc....y=BROWSE&depa=0 It's got an Ultra ATA and Serial ATA plugs so you get both worlds but you are limited to only 2 SATA drives which not good. Luckly, there is this one: http://www.newegg.com/app/ViewProductDesc....y=BROWSE&depa=0 It supports 4 SATA drives so that might be better. You should be able to set a jumper to "master" on the drive itself and install it without problems, but if you'll need a SATA port in order for that drive to work.
  12. Dekaranger seems to be where the money was spent on this year's shows. Kamen Rider (Masked Rider) Blade doesn't seem as good as 555 or Ryuki. Dekaranger is definitely more action intensive than Blade so it has some points there. But we'll see as both these shows haven't reached the double digits in episode count.
  13. I won't be there so I say, MEH.
  14. The answer is....we just don't know. It was probably enemy fire but Hikaru got in quite close to the mess so it may have been friendly. Either way, the missiles locked on to him. I don't think Roy would have cared if the arms got blow off. Now if his bird was destroyed...then he would be smacking his head against a wall...but that's for another thread.
  15. It's listed under the codenames/Unofficial designations, kinda like nicknames. When you call it Feios/Feious/Pheyos/EVA/Enemy Valkyrie, they all point to the same thing, Zentradi Variable Device. You could call it by anyone of those names and we won't hurt you. Kinda like the VF-5000. The Design Works book and the Studio Half-Eye model lists it's name as "Star Mirage". It's not correct but we won't say your wrong because it's a nickname/codename/unofficial designation that has been used. You could call it "Star Mirage" or VF-5000 and there would be nothing wrong with it. Heck even "Feios" is used the the Design Works book, but again, it's not right but it's not wrong. What's easier to remember? Feios Valk? Or Zentradi Variable Device? Obvious the former.
  16. Kinda. The story is, Kawamori was working off a pre-production toy (very early in development). He wanted the make GERWALK mode a reality but couldn't figure out how to make it work. Kawamori already intended GERWALK to be implemented but had trouble thinking it through. When he picked up the toy, the legs just dropped down (as they do in GERWALK mode) and next thing you know, we have GERWALK mode. The legs dropped down due to the fact that the legs didn't have a locking mechanism.
  17. E-gads!!! Egan, what the heck are you doing here? Get some sleep!!!!
  18. Thankfully, Big O season 2 was quite far down on my to-get list, Hell, I almost forgot to add it...
  19. Unfortunately we need those stats to compare....In terms of melee combat, the Metel Siren takes on an advantage with the plasma spear. But once you remove that, then we have to start using stats. The VF-1MS uses beam gunpods and internal beam cannons. The VF-22 has the beam cannons built in with regular gunpods. The VF-22 has a high manueverability mode which would give it an advantage in performance. The VF-22 also has hardpoints for mission specific payloads. So there's another advantage. Both have mini-missiles so there's not much there. With weapons, we pretty much have a tie. But the VF-1MS has an advantage in melee combat. Score 1 for the VF-1MS. Manueverability, I would bet the VF-22 is much better. VF-1MS - 1, VF-22 - 1 That leaves engines. Unfortunately, we need stats for this so this is useless. Performance? We've never seen the VF-1MS in atmosphere, so this is a problem. So our score is 1-1. We kinda need to last 2 to really judge. But that would that would involve stats that we don't have on the Metal Siren. If we had to place money.....I would bet on the VF-22. The manueverability on it would probably give it the greatest advantage in fighter mode.
  20. Are we complaining/debating? Cuz this is the feedback section. Not the "let's start this arguement all over again" section.
  21. You are Sailorsaturn, the power of complete destruction is at your command. *does quagmire pose* Alllright.
  22. Ahhh, Enshi....The answer is no. It's one of those freak coincidences. Nobuhiro Watsuki or Kawamori was asked this at a convention (forgot which one) and the answer was, it was a coincidence.
  23. We created "Macross", i.e. humans. Depending on which version of the story you want to believe, the Supervision Army created the gunboat which we call Macross. Another version (DYRL?) says it was a Meltran gunboat. Engrish?
  24. 1) Transformation is controlled via the throttle lever. 2) ALL VF-19s have the PPB system. http://www.anime.net/macross/mecha/united_...vf19/index.html 3) There are lots of 'em. Ranging from small ships to the big fleets. The noted ones are Megaroad-01, Macross-05, Macross-07, Macross-13, Algenicus, Sentinel, and the Saratoga II. All the others have yet to find their niche. We don't know as the story isn't about the rest of the galaxy. Only Earth.
  25. Some stayed. Some left. We don't know. I would say that the UN picked up a decent size Zentradi force to protect itself with. As far as you want. It's all about making sure you sure your calculations are correct. If you're off by a bit, you may end up somewhere you shouldn't. Get a piece of paper. Draw 2 points and fold the paper such that the 2 points overlap. That would be a proper calculation. In your two points are not directly overlapping, that would be a improper fold calculation. Usually that doesn't happen unless you've got a really pathetic fold calculating program which misplaces the decimal .
